The Best Email Marketing Platform I've Used

After finding your way around Bento's UI and understanding what it's capable of, you won't want to use any other email marketing tool.

PROS

It has very simple list-size based pricing, and you get all the features no matter what. The email marketing piece is great by itself, but when you layer in Flows, you can take the automation of your marketing to a whole other level. The support is also personalized and community based, which makes getting help very easy.

CONS

From a business perspective, choosing a small team like Bento (vs a large corporation) could be a risk for some, but there are emergency safeguards in place, so I'm personally not worried. From a technical perspective, I haven't experienced any significant shortcomings. At the time of writing, there is no Android app which make monitoring live chat slightly limited.

Reason for choosing Bento

Bento is much more robust and feature rich. I like that.

Reasons for switching to Bento

HubSpot's pricing is outrageous to get to anything close to a decent email marketing feature set

Marketing automation done right

Bento has allowed us to create evergreen sequences and marketing automation sequences that we can rely on.It's one of the products I recommend the most to people when they ask me about marketing automation for their businesses.

PROS

Bento offers an incredibly easy and powerful way to manage your entire marketing automation journey. You are able to track actions by anonymous visitors, tie their identity to past actions once provided, nurture them with flows and sequences that are incredibly flexible and then continue to engage and provide customer support to them through the Bento Chat product. The developer is also extremely quick at adding new features when the community asks for them.

CONS

The only con for me has been that Bento does have a slight learning curve, simply because it packs a lot under the hood. Some more shareable templates or ready made packages for newbies would make the experience a bit smoother. It's eCommerce focused features could be padded out a bit too (However I know it's in the pipeline so just need to be patient).

Reason for choosing Bento

Klaviyo while impressive had ridiculous hoops to jump through for support. Bento's support was more active and dynamic. That matters a lot when you are a small business.

Reasons for switching to Bento

Mailchimp was getting extremely limited in terms of functionality and expensive. Deliverability was suffering too.

Vendor Response

It's been so lovely getting to know you! Thanks for the review!

Powerful Email Automation Features for Product Owners

PROS

The power and flexibility in setting up email automation flows is incredible. By adding a tag based on an action (such as a purchase) or where they signed up, you can trigger any number of email flows and change it based on actions they take. Replicating the basic flows I had before in Mailchimp was easy, and I now have all that I need to add more complex flows going forward.

CONS

None! The support in helping me get set up was first class, and after a short 1:1 onboarding session, I'm all set.

Reasons for switching to Bento

The features in Mailchimp for automation flows became more and more complex, and you were restricted to only a very basic one-step automation unless you paid a substantially higher fee. Not only do I get all the tools I need with Bento, their support is incredible if I need it.

Need a truly reliable platform and outstanding customer service? Read this...

Everything is so smooth, and most important IT WORKS! Honestly, I can't describe how happy I am about using Bento, it's a backbone for my business since I write on a daily basis and it's one of the few platforms that doesn't punish my creativity at all. It always surprises me how quickly the owner/developer respond to any request! Bento works well with everything on my stack. I'm a extremely happy customer :)

PROS

- The ability to add multiple sites in just 1 subscription - Analytics out of the box - Outstanding deliverability - Free spam checker - The friendly & top-notch customer service - Affordable pricing

CONS

It's not something I don't like, but Bento is SO powerful with its features that maybe it could be "too technical" for some users.

Reason for choosing Bento

I saw an amazing review from another user about a powerful platform that could literally save you a lot of money in other automation tools, so I decided to give it a try... and I'm really happy to have followed his advice.

Reasons for switching to Bento

Convertkit wasn't so powerful automation wise and I had deliverability issues (almost all my emails landed in Promotions)
