Great marketing platform, easy to navigate, great support from Customer Service!

PROS

The dashboard design is clean and you instantly get an overview of how all your marketing campaigns are performing. Easy to navigate, the customer segmentation/reports provide key insights regarding customers purchase behavior. Simple to import/export data.

CONS

After using several other marketing platforms, I feel TargetBay is a perfect fit for my business. I don't overpay for features I don't need and the on boarding process was easy. I don't have any complaints.

We're uncertain if SMS marketing is effective for our business. It's possible that our industry isn't well-suited for SMS marketing. Despite trying a more costly provider, we obtained comparable results. Presently, TargetBay is collaborating with us to devise an alternate SMS strategy and determine if it can increase sales. We're thrilled that they can tailor solutions to meet our specific requirements.

Reasons for switching to TargetBay

Our decision to switch software was influenced by both cost and performance. We opted for Shopper Approved, which we've used for 2-3 years as it was more affordable. However, we didn't observe any improvement in performance. Shopper Approved only contacted us once a year to renew the license. Conversely, TargetBay frequently evaluates our progress, holds regular conference calls, and consistently proposes new ideas and strategies. Although Attentive is significantly more expensive, it didn't result in any sales boost. Likewise, Mailchimp was cheaper but yielded no results. Since partnering with TargetBay, our subscriber list has doubled, and our return on investment has increased by 8x. We decided to consolidate these three software and solely use TargetBay, resulting in an overall sales increase of 80-90%, something we never achieved with other providers.

Review of Target Bay Marketing Software User Interface

Comments It should be kept in mind that the Target Bay marketing software and user interface, while very functional and user friendly, is evolving and new features are being added on a continual basis. To this point, the Target Bay technical support staff are regularly reaching out to insure the highest customer satisfaction, and as well, introduce customers to new features as they are introduced into the software. As I am an instructor as well as graphic designer, I sometimes muse about the prospect of working for Target Bay, as I also like to provide positive and educational experiences to my students.

PROS

Email Campaigns My primary use of the Target Bay software is for the composing and sending of my email campaigns. I find the user interface fairly intuitive, with the ability to drag and drop content, which can be modified as the email is being designed. Target Bay has several email templates, however, I like to build my own. Pop-Ups At the encouragement of Target Bay's staff, I have also incorporated two pop-up features; a welcome pop-up and an abandoned cart pop-up. The abandoned cart feature also sends out an email to the person who had abandoned the cart (check out step) should they choose to provide their email when the pop-up is presented. Reviews I have also activated Reviews; for products purchased and for our company's website. The Reviews help me keep tabs on my customer's experience, respond to their questions and post positive reviews to my social media accounts. I will soon be incorporating retargeting ads. This feature provides a visual reminder to my customers to revisit my website, based on their viewing history of specific products. Overall, I have found the Target Bay App to be very useful and only limited by my finite imagination. Thank you to the Target Bay Team for their excellent support.

Just a few little hiccups along the way. I find that the Target Bay tech support to be very responsive and helpful.

Very Satisfied TargetBay / Bayengage User

Targetbay / Bayengage helps me manage my clients website reviews, product reviews, email marketing, sales conversion, and cart abandonment flow all in one affordably priced product. My account manager [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has my back even though I run a small agency which is pretty awesome.

PROS

As a marketing agency and a web designer I love products that can do more than one thing. The less plugins to install, interfaces to learn, and bills to pay, the better! Also support answers really fast on their chat box which is great. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is my account manager; he is there for me when I need help, often at the last minute, which is essential since I am always busy.

CONS

I had some issues with the old interface not being very intuitive, however they have improved that vastly and recently launched the Bayengage software which is very easy to use and learn.

Big help for a small business

PROS

I am a one person small business so it is hard for me to be an expert at everything and also have the time to implement the solutions. Having the crew at TargetBay on my team helping with collecting reviews, customer Q&A, and recovering abandoned carts is a huge help, among other things. Their expertise is what I have needed for years. They set it all up for me and we talk monthly to review performance and make changes if needed. I'm looking forward to a long term relationship. Overall, my experience has been nothing but great. Going forward with all things digital marketing, TargetBay will be a life-long friend of ours.

Service Offerings - The Service offerings and features are extremely competitive compared to others in this market. There is a great number of features you can get as well as with other competitors in the industry, BUT, this is just the beginning of where it starts to become...better Price - As the saying goes, you get what you pay for... I mean, logically it's true, right? I pay for $5 McDonald's meal and I'll get just that, a $5 McDonald's meal... But that's not what we normally translate this to, yeah? In today's standard, when you pay less (com[ared to competitors), you expect less quality of service or offerings. There is an exception to this rule, and that is TargetBay. What makes TargetBay standout of the crowd is this pricing, you really won't find anything close to the features you get for the easy, simple and affordable pricing you pay. They don't make it complicated with plans, it's straight foward. They don't tie you into lousy, scary, anxiety inducing contracts, again, a TargetBay winner. No hidden-fees, no upselling tactics, straightforward pricing and features you cannot normally get for the costs. Customer Service - Believe me when I say this, TargetBay's customer service is exceptional. You will not and cannot find better service anywhere. You feel at home, like family, like they mean the world to you and you mean the world to them. TargetBay excels beyond your imagination in this department. It's unworldly to have this level of attention, you're loved.

CONS

The software is growing, there will be quirks here and there, but the greatest of all is, you won't find a problem they cannot fix and won't try to help you out with. While bugs and glitches can happen anywhere in life, that's to be expected, but you won't be left with the lights off.

Probably the Best Value for Product Reviews, Abandoned Cart, & Pop ups

Product reviews and abandoned cart are the strongest features of the platform for us.

PROS

The software packs a lot features: site reviews, product reviews, abandoned cart emails, send after purchase emails, pop up review request, email subscription signup, product recommendation (the only feature we haven't used). At the time of this review there are no other platforms at this price point that offer such a robust set of features. Having used Yotpo for 1 year and given serious consideration to TrustPilot and Power Reviews, you can't beat Targetbay for the price. We've used Targetbay on Magento and are now using it on Shopify. The TB support staff helped integrate their solution on both platforms pretty seamlessly. We had some hiccups with Targetbay during our site migration to Shopify, some review settings weren't turned on after the migration, but as soon as we realized this, their team fixed the problem ASAP and send out a retroactive targeted review request email to make up for reviews we missed out on. It should be said that Targetbay/Innoppl has outstanding support response time. All in all, the software works as advertised and it has worked pretty reliably for us.

CONS

Site reviews with Yotpo, Trust Pilot, & Power Reviews all qualify towards your Google Seller Rating, if you have a Google Merchant Center account. However, site reviews with Targetbay do not qualify towards your GSR with Targetbay. We primarily chose Targetbay for our site reviews to help get a Google Seller Rating for our Google Ad Words account. Unfortunately, we did not do enough research beforehand in regards to this. Because Targetbay is not a certified Google Reviews Partner, site reviews with Targetbay do NOT count towards your Google Seller Rating score with Google. The site reviews still have some value to help illicit consumer confidence of course, but at the time of this review they won't help you in qualifying for a GSR from Google. The dashboard user interface is pretty clunky and difficult to use at times. The TB team could improve upon this aspect of their software. We run our business from the United States and you can tell that the dashboard user interface was designed by folks from India. Its not bad, but its not great either. Yotpo's dashboard was easier to use. With Targetbay some important settings are buried in unsuspecting places within the dashboard's interface. You can be working on something simple like your review strategy and have to look for a setting pertaining to a single feature in one of three different places. This can cause frustration when first using the platform. I've learned my way around, but its still cumbersome to use.

I think it excels in the support department...its what makes it the white glove option. Easy to use and implement because support is so good.

Alternative Health and Wellness reviews

We have had several instances where things just didn't make sense and the team so far has been responsive to our queries. Much better than large companies who offer SaaS products who do not seem to care much for the clients as long as they pay monthly.

PROS

The team did a quick turn on the set up and did everything in orienting us that was needed. Their platform is far more robust than some of the more affordable providers and it was not as expensive as others. It does the job as needed.

CONS

Some of the Javascript (calls) on the widgets are slow and cause some page delay

Great functionality and Best in Class Customer Service

I have worked with many marketing companies in the past, and none of them were able to deliver the quality service and products I needed. I have very much enjoyed working with TargetBay for the past several years and they continue to go above and beyond. TargetBay is a one-stop shop for my small business needs.

I found BayEngage email marketing templates to be a little challenging. This in no way is a reflection of faulty or inferior product, it's something I found challenging as I didn't have the time or staff to become proficient in creating email campaigns. Solid feature set. Approachable interface but reasonable control over details. Excellent onboarding

Very solid experience from first contact, to demo/sales cycle, to onboarding. The team genuinely wants to help and is skilled at doing so.

PROS

Having used other (better known) review platforms, I can say that this product is easy to configure and packaged to deliver full functionality without pricing tier games.

CONS

Not enough experience to say yet. Ironically, not having a lower priced entry point was my initial friction, but after getting burned with low end plan on Yotpo, I put a price on my time and sanity.

Larger player I dealt with triaged me down to a small account and delivered uninformed sales, zero onboarding and poor tech support. Product consistently hit errors and each time I would escalate, they would fix something on the back end and say, It's working now! The third time this happened I shut down my account and moved on.

Great Service That Has Increases Year Over Year Sales

At first I was skeptical if this would be something that would benefit my eCommerce store. In the first month I realized how beneficial Target Bay services were to my company. Capturing emails, email campaigns, and reviews have added a tremendous amount of revenue to my company that would of otherwise been lost. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service.

Love the analytics that show the results of any campaign we do. They also have great customer service if I ever need help!!

CONS

Some of the products are a little tricky to learn. But once you do it a few times it becomes pretty easy. Great things is you always have tech support that can walk you right through it.

The team is great to deal with and very personable. They are really outperforming all of their competitors and I think this will contribute to long term success for this company.

PROS

I like that we can consolidate a few different programs down into 1. For example, before we were using an email software and were on the hunt for a different program that offered review management, etc. TargetBay has all of that in 1 platform. Super convenient.

CONS

Setup took quite awhile. There were some technical difficulties and setup took a bit longer than expected.

Worth the investment!

Targetbay has been an overall joy to work with. Incredible stability and accuracy with campaigning and automations. It easy to learn the navigation system and how to define details in all your communications with your customers. Very savvy. In addition, working with their knowledgeable staff has been a pleasure to work with as well. We recently have been working with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and he is always alert and available for technical requests and even some marketing suggestions. It's like working with a partner instead of being just a customer. Kudos to the staff that make this app a genuine investment and keeps churn and analytics going.

PROS

This app is very easy to use and navigate to get your business moving with data and ensure automations are in place to pickup any and every opportunity that comes to your website. The support for Targetbay is fantastic!

CONS

There are some widgets that I would like to see pre-built so I can use them in newer templates that I create. For example a 3-column image text box. Simple enough to make, but having this pre built into the widget list would save time. A few smaller nit picky things but nothing that made me dislike using the product.

Great Cost, Great Value, Great Service

Our experience has been positive and we've worked with 4-5 different ecommerce sites using Target Bay and will continue to add more accounts.

PROS

The tools Target Bay provides are very easy to use and also the customer service is excellent. We can always get someone on the phone to review accounts, make updates and answer any questions we may have.

CONS

Had a couple bugs with formatting of the mobile emails, but they were fixed when we brought it up.

CONS

Building emails is slightly difficult. The column option is difficult.

Caring Support with Excellent Features

Beyond automating emails, we are also able to send SMS and email campaigns, track our emails and campaign revenue easily. We've also had wonderful customer support from TargetBay with everything that we ask for. There have been occasional times when we had to wait an extra day or two, but it's not a long turnaround time.

PROS

We are able to automate common emails that we need to send to our customers, which frees up our time for other tasks in our small business. It also has an easy to use interface that does take a little getting used to, but it's not a steep learning curve.

CONS

There are occasional features that we ask about (adding mp4s in popups, for example) that aren't possible. However, they are minor features that are easily worked around.

Reasons for switching to TargetBay

We were looking for something that was just as easy to use and with similar features, but also provided automations and SMS possibilities.
