The people make the product great
Working with Trackunit for over 3 years, it’s a great product but the people are what make this product shine
PROSThe alerts and reports is what we built our service department around. The CAN data is worth the cost of the product , our machine run better and longer thanks to this awesome product
CONSI need more REPORTS!!! The reports are fantastic but I would like to get my CAN data in a report and just a few other ones as well

Allround machine monitor
We started with trackunit to invoice overtime to customers but 6 years later it became more of a service tool to help out customers. See basic errors, see usage, database for working hours, location. We merged the Trackunit data in our own platform as well to give our customers the best customer experience.
PROSTrackunit has a perfect tool to monitor our machines all around the world. It saves our drivers and mechanics a lot of time to find machines on a jobsite and we have more insights because of the reports from the system.
CONSThere is so much data available that we can do a lot more with it but development costs a lot of time and extra money. We are not using the system optimal yet.

Expensive waste of time
Absolutely useless do not use this company. The tracker hasn't worked properly since it was fitted. If the machine had not been used for more than two days it flattened the battery, after months of trying customer services they said to change a setting in the app, that didn't help. The tracker had been fitted so badly every time it rains water gets into the connections and shorts out a resister that has been taped up with insolation tape terrible unprofessional job. I spent months trying to ring up to cancel the contract. No one ever answer the phone. You can press 1 for someone to ring you back THEY DON'T. The only way to speak to someone is if you press the number to buy a new contract. After all that I managed to cancel the contact on the 28th of the month and they decided to charge for the whole of the next month. And if I didn't pay they were going to send a debt collection agency. Total waste of time and money I wish I had never let them near my machine.

classic manager
the classic manger was easy to overview the fleet and see changes or movements
CONSthe new features are giving more options, but i still need the complete overview with movement or active icoons and thats only with classic manager

The Absolute Best in Off Highway Telematics
Trackunit provides the best data, reporting, and visibility of any provider out there. The real benefit though is that they are still looking forward, we are just scratching the surface of what telematics can do for us and are excited about what the future will bring.
CONSThe been a few hiccups in getting transitioned from the the classic manager app to the new manager app but nothing major.

Trackunit is the best all around solution for off highway use and they're the only company that is aggressively pushing forward to come up with new and better solutions.

Very good , a forward thinking company with good customer service and tech support.
PROSThe dash board is easy and clear to navigate. the go app is good for my external engineers but need a bit more developing.
CONSLack of asset specific reporting which would need to include environmental impact. Service module to allow the creation of digital work sheet with spares reconciliation.

CONS- Bei Ticketsystem können nicht immer alle Probleme gelöst werden, erst nach direkten Kontakt - Modul benötigt Batterie, daher führt es oft dazu, dass viele Maschinen eine leere Batterie haben

service schedules are the best for our fleet and tom Raes is a very good trainer and understands the customers needs.
PROSthe service schedules can be set up and can get a warning prior.
CONSdeploying a technician from Trackunit having to fill out a form when I have sent all the details in the 1st place to technical support

Trackunit are great to work with, we have a strong relationship with our account Manager [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who is always available to us on the end of the phone.
PROSWe are able to monitor usage and location of all fleet items fitted with Trackunit. We are also able to restrict access to only set users through the keypad feature.
CONSThere are no features that i dislike on the platform.

Trackunit
Great customer support across the board
PROSI like the mapping functions, particularly in relation to seeing other nearby units in addition to the unit of primary interest. I like the CAN telematics for pre-diagnosis on equipment.
CONSI am eagerly awaiting for completely customizable reports. I have very specific interests and would like a way to create highly specific reports and alarms.
