An Efficient Tool for monitoring the office

I am satisfied with the software as it enables me to manage the warehouse & logistics 3P people across the country under my leadership in terms of punctuality and project completion. This application really helps. I choose to recommend to other people for efficient monitoring of 3P people which will ensure productivity and bring efficiency into the operation.

I. Data accuracy. II. Employee/Agents attendance. III. Enables blocking of certain websites & program which ensures productivity. IV. Project monitoring and employee behavior analysis. V. Personalized reports generation.

CONS

I do not have anything to dislike about this software. It works really well for me.

Very Valuble Data

Overall, I have been very happy with the product and the data it can provide me about my employees which is helpful in many ways. We current use the product for various functions including KPI's. After using the product for some time we decided to add the product to our offering as a value add to our contact center solution we supply.

PROS

WorkTime is great for Time and Attendance, Activity, Productivity, content filtering and per client time logging. Its not only a productivity tool. We have many uses for WorkTime outside of the initial intended use and we ware finding more uses as time passes. Being non-invasive the product is generally accepted well by staff.

CONS

The current inability to track users that are not on their device all day can be problematic but I do regularly suggest new features and many of these are or will be added.

Uninvasive, cost effective and feature rich.

It worked Great Until it Didnt. Lack of Customer Support Caused us to Cancel Service

Dont waste you money unless you are OK with weird errors in your data, and no response back to try and fix them.

PROS

We were able to Install to run silently on all users machines. Could have daily reports sent as csv files to feed into our analytics systems.

CONS

The Software did not provide its own update mechanism. We were having some weird errors that did not make sense about what devices it was showing a user login time on. When choosing users to not monitor, the system kept adding them back, so we still had to pay for a license for them, even though the system was not collecting monitoring data from them. Reaching out to tech support provided no response. Even the CEO of the company ended up responding saying that he would check into it. But then failed to ever respond. This went on for 3 months with me sending him multiple emails, but he never responded. we ended up letting our subscription lapse because we would not ever get tech support to get back to us.

Insightful reporting system

WorkTime's extensive report system offers great statistics about employee activity. I rely on it a lot for planning work for the team and my management strategy a lot.

PROS

Great report system with 50+ reports on various criteria. “Distraction score” and “Leaderboards” are especially useful

CONS

No reports on employees' well-being for example. I would really benefit from having something like that.

Good for employees analysis.

It is a good software to keep a track of working hours. By this way employees don’t use internet for social networking sites and for other sites also.

PROS

It is basically analysis of employees that how they spend their time. Mean we can keep a track of them that how they use the internet. How much time they log in to the system and how much time they were log off from the system. So by this way we can increase the productivity of each employee. We can also have a look on what things they have spent time on internet. Price is also reasonable. Easy to setup. So we can have a keep a track of working hours of employees in the company.

CONS

Sometimes we can’t increase the productivity by having data as the person in the company can use internet on phone and it does not mean that if the peer is log in to the system then it means he/she is working but still we can have a track of internet usage.

WorkTime Feedback

When it works, it's fine. When it doesn't, I lose revenue.

PROS

My job requires time tracking down to 15 min increments.

CONS

The product randomly stops tracking without any notification. At times, I can lose several days worth of billable tracking without any remedy. There's no support option.

Best monitoring software

At my previous job we first used a different application. But it was inconvenient, too invasive and very hard on system resources. One day we decided to use WT and it was our best decision. In this new workplace I advised it with confidence and my colleagues are happy with that decision.

PROS

The best employee monitoring software I've ever tried. Every option they provide is very good.

CONS

Sometimes we needed a support assist to figure some minor thing out.

Easy to Use / Very Detailed

I am in consulting and need to track my time. This is a lifesaver if I go a few days without recording it. I have been using it for years.

PROS

Really easy to install and once it is working it tracks everything. The reporting is super helpful and I often export to Excel when I need to customize it.

CONS

I wish it was easier to customize the reports. There are a lot of fields I don't need but others which are critical. The filters are great, but need ability to select fields.

Awesome!!!

Great Return on Investment

This software has the essential features necessary for monitoring your employees. We've been able to tell who is working hard and who is goofing off. The price is great and for what you get it gives you great ROI. We would have like some additional features and would have been willing to pay more for features like integration with our phone system to know how much phone time and call attempts our employees made but we are happy with the software the way it is and hope these other features will come in the future. Another thing to note is that the reports on the employees' work hours only comes if they log in on the company's VPN. Some of our employees figured out that if they never log in on our VPN we can't monitor them. A nice feature to have would be that the system uploads the data to an internet server then that server sends the data to our server. That would allow us to get the data every time an employee touches the internet instead of depending on the employees loggin in on the VPN.

PROS

Low price. Captures employee work hours. Good return on the dollar.

CONS

It only sends data on employees if they are on a VPN or our company's network. Employees can defeat the data reporting if they don't log in on the VPN. A nice feature to have would be to send the data to our server every time the employee touches the internet whether they log in on the VPN or not. Another nice feature that is missing is a report of who is currently working and who is not (live update).

A lifesaver for consulting practices

When we started our consulting firm, we found that we were billing clients for only a fraction of the time we were spending on their projects. We had no reliable way of tracking time for projects that often spanned weeks or months. I compared many time tracking tools, and found that most require the user to remember to log in to a website or launch an app. WorkTime Professional was a lifesaver. The features I like best are: 1) the ability to track time in a granular fashion by client, project, and task; 2) the fact that the tool is always there as a transparent window on my screen, that I can move around or minimize, and I don't have to remember to log in somewhere to start it; 3) time can be added manually; and 4) it is easy to access details for client invoicing. Oh, and 5) the price is so affordable, we can't afford NOT to use it. And 6) on the rare occasion we need support, we get answers fast. We work with hundreds of business clients, and I recommend that they use WokTime regardless of whether they bill based on time or not. Why? Because as a small business it is critical to understand how you're really spending your time, and sometimes that is not obvious. WorkTime helps you see patterns--what are you spending on time that earns you money versus tasks that could be delegated, outsourced, or automated? Time IS money, and WorkTime helps us spend both wisely.

Best Project and Time Tracker I have found

Business problems being resolved by using Work Time: easy retrieval of online sources, better documentation for client reports, analyzing time spent on a project as applies to billing of client. My business is a research, fact finding and verification, using Work Time I am better able to site sources for reporting.

PROS

There are so many things I love about Work Time, this is my short list: the compact main window display on my laptop. The ability to track: applications I use, documents work with, web-sites visit and time spent for on each of these activities. This is important for my report writing along with billing clients, rate per hour and invoicing. The ability to talk to a human for customer support / tech support issues.

CONS

The Help section does not respond to standard Windows shortcut keys of CTRL+C to copy the text. The Print function only allows to print to a printer. It does not allow to print to a PFD doc.

Just right for my needs

It does precisely what I need, easily, with no fuss, no bells and whistles.

PROS

I needed software to keep track of which desktop apps I was using on specific clients' projects. I looked at all the candidates I could find. This was the only one that (1) did just this one thing I wanted it to do, and (2) was not a subscription service with ongoing fees. I bought it and have used it daily for about 7 years now (upgrading once when I got a new computer; not really necessary, but I just went through and updated everything I used).

CONS

Occasionally I wish it were obvious how to get the report on a project to show more than the top 5 apps used. I once sort of stumbled into how to do it, but later forgot the secret. It only rarely matters to me, and even then not much.

WorkTime Love it!

I have a previous version of Worktime that I really like for its simplicity. I tried the newer version, but I realized I didn't need more, I just needed to use it! I have used this program for years, and I wouldn't dream of using anything else, since it has proven its ROI.

PROS

Simplicity; Project and Activity Flexibility; Stealth capability because it tracks me when I don't realize it! It increases my productivity, since I can review a week or month, and see how many hours I am logging in the computer.

CONS

I would really like a printed invoice directly from the software that I could send to clients, without having to download it to Excel or attach it to another invoice. I would ilke to set up defaults for printing reports, because I have to reset the parameters every time.

No-nonsense software

We wanted to find out the usage patterns of our equipment and software licenses, and not so much "worker" productivity as we are a school... we put this onto the computers to track student habits - not interested at all in individuals' behavior but more of anonymous totals. It worked fairly well for this. We switched to Labstats Online later on as they offered more of the usage tracking with much less personal data (schools have to watch out about what data they track about students).

PROS

Easy to set up Has lots of options for various things to track has scheduling and groups to track different things in different spaces doesn't eat up a lot of resources reasonable price, no-nonsense software and support staff

CONS

The generated reports can be difficult to customize for useful data - it is meant as a corporate analysis tool for worker productivity and not necessarily what we used it for - namely to see how many licenses of a software were in use on which computer, for how long by which person. It tracked *all* that info but presenting that data in a meaningful way wasn't very easy to do.

Just what we were looking for

It is a little difficult to get a hold of support but the owner is very responsive, very knowledgeable and very helpful - always.

PROS

That it only captured screen titles and not keystrokes and didn't take screenshots which helps us with HIPAA compliancy .

CONS

Wish it was a little easier to control from the server. If WorkTime disconnects from the PC I have to call or email my user to log off and back in to get WorkTime to find it again. I wish I could send some kind of reconnect code from the server. But when its working, it does exactly what we need.

Does exactly what the description says!

PROS

It just works and is very easy to configure. From tracking time spent on various projects, it makes it easy for attorneys to bill their time effectively.

CONS

We had trouble with the license various times, and the support for the product does not seem to be very high. If you can configure it yourself, great. If not, don't bother.

Worktime Virus

The only problem ive had to solve with WorkTIme was figuring out how to uninstall it off of an end user's machine while the computer is screaming and being slowly engulfed in flames. Thankfully, the client doesn't show up in the programs list! That would be too easy and convenient. Overall this software is a great way to punish any administration with the audacity to try to make sure their employees are being productive by actually destroying the very hardware the employers have sought to protect.

PROS

Ever since i was a little kid i wanted a laptop that could fly. Thanks to worktime, my cpu fan starts to spin so fast to compensate for the hardware requirements of a background app that the laptop ACTUALLY LIFTS OFF THE DESK like a drone!! Why waste thousands on a new drone when you can just install Worktime Cloud monitoring and turn your boring, functioning laptop into a spinning flying death trap!

CONS

It isn't free. Normally a minor nuisance, like stubbing your toe or running out of ice cream, is free. This nuisance comes with a monthly charge.

A good assistant

For us Work Time is most helpful in many aspects. But the most important is monitoring employees’ activities in remote work.

PROS

I like WorkTime collects info every couple of minutes. So you practically have a real-time statistics.

CONS

None, no drawbacks while using the application.

Good tool for home office

PROS

The ability to generate reports about worked hours for remote employees fits exactly our needs. It even reports correctly RDP sessions, with the IP address from where the session came. This way, i can easily sort out usage on a hybrid environment.

CONS

The interface is a bit dated in some aspects. The graphs work well, but can use a facelift.

Great for constant monitoring!

Have helped pick out and implement Work Time Cloud for a few different organizations now, some started with free trials and have bought in now, and others have started with paid options right away based on my recommendation. It's a nice, easy to use, easy to manage, and super fast to implement due to all being cloud based, no local servers needed!

PROS

Constant monitoring, very intuitive cloud based interface, LOTS of reports and customization as well. Gives you a peace of mind that you can check back in on anyone at anytime even after the fact to see what they were working on.

CONS

Setup and communication is a bit limited at first glance, my first install wasn't silent and I wasn't sure how to fix that, but after contacting support once they got me sorted out and I was able to get silent installs rolling.

Saves time and Improves my bottom line

I have been using this product for about 5 years. I'm a VA with several clients, I can smoothly transition from client & activity throughout the day without a glitch. At the end of the month a couple of clicks is all it takes to print out a report for each client, reducing time and confusion over invoicing. My clients love that they can see the details of how much time I spent each month completing their activities.

Worktime Survey

Its been overall a good system that does what we need. I would like to see a better interface that is a little easier on eyes and an easier way to isolate everything based on one machine. Other than that it serves its purpose

Presence awareness and the ability to see activity based upon machines

A little buggy and hard to find stuff unless you are familiar with the program very well

Essantialy for survive

As working for several customers fund projects at the same time recording is only easy to manage with WorkTime Professional. I searched for a long time. Since 6 years work with Work Time Pro. I will not want to work without it anymore.

It works very stable and the Support is great.
