Spirax Sarco Strata Feedback
Generally very good experience - Strata is predominantly used for analysis of data in respect of sustainability (energy and water) analysis. In our internal application of the product at our Blythewood facility for multiple utilities monitoring , strata provided insight for potential energy saving opportunities for compressed air , lighting , HVAC etc. and also provided data based proof of value associated with the improvementsow
PROSSoftware - Strata data trending and bespoke / tailored analysis features Relative ease of use Set-up - #Relative ease of integration from measurement device to strata (# Cotopaxi integration expertise) , Options for integration - Ethernet , Modbus etc. etc.
CONSStrata could be enhanced with more bespoke alerts Alarms and Automatic exception reporting - I have submitted feature upgrades ideas to [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN].

Strata is much more intuitive regards ease of set-up , Analysis features

You can create alarms and automatic email alerts by using the Strata alarm options and email alert option. Depending on the email schedule details you select when setting it up, this would then automatically send you an email. Strata is good helper
The functionality and decent performance of the product is complemented by the excellent support of the Cotopaxi team. Strata helps to manage energy and other resources and improve or at least maintain the efficiency of their use.
PROSStrata offers nice and easy to learn user interface you like at the first sight. It provides quick access to all your data through transparent organizational structure and set of dashboards. Creation of wide variety of reports is really super easy. The system was always stable and had short response time even in case of bigger volume of data. It is constantly evolving, new functions are being added.
CONSStrata, in order to be fast and simple, sometimes doesnt provide the level of flexibility you may need to cover all possible cases you may face in practice. So far, however, we have always managed to find a satisfactory solution in cooperation with Cotopaxi developers. It is still a search for a compromise between the complexity of the system and its maintenance and its flexibility.
Reason for choosing Strata
It brings the best cost benefit ratio. The product is under continuous development. The Cotopaxi team provides reliable support and is flexible in solution of non-standard requirements. It supports all languages we need.

Strata Efficiency
Strata has been one of the best software I have ever used with a high level of functionalities which is vey cost effective. The customer service support and trainings are also superb which makes the software platform easy to be understood and used.

Hi Ridwan, thanks for your positive feedback. With regards to transmitters, we try to integrate with a site's existing hardware wherever possible. We will make recommendations on what additional telemetry will provide insights to allow for energy savings, but it is up to the site to decide where and what telemetry they prefer. If you are not happy with your chosen solution, there are alternative options, which our Telemetry team can discuss with you. Strata also has Real time capability which allows live streaming of data into Strata for accurate real time analysis of essential information. User configuration
Really like the ability for the user to easily configure it to their needs, yet maintain the degree of standardisation required for central programme management. The software is really easy to navigate and standardised dashboards make it simple to incorporate into operational data requirements. The Cotopaxi team are continually developing the solution with new updates coming up as understanding of the user experience and demands are developing.
CONSThe things I like least are less to do with the software and more relating to the implementation of the platform and onboarding of teams using it. The full value of the software is yet to be fully materialised.

Strata is a great Energy Management system
Great solution for being able to visualize your energy and asset data.
PROSSo easy to customize for what energy data you need and want to see. The ability to quickly add additional data is class leading.
CONSIf you are not careful, you can get carried away with adding to many screen and views.

Simple and dynamic

It is a functional platform that had a pretty steep learning curve
What I liked about Strata was its detailed excel style organization that kept data looking clean and easy to find.
CONSWhat I liked least about Strata was that it took a lot of manual line by line implementation to make changes to information.

Good experience and great customer support.
PROSData easily accessible,a lot of options are available to customize reports. Alarms and targets information is also very useful. Very good to visualize data.
CONSReports and utilities maps could be easier to set up. Wrong meters data (negative values, meters decreasing) should be automatically spotted.

Using Strata for MMT
Strata can cover our needs, support of using / managing software is really fast, dynamic and helpful
