Happy we made the change!
Coming from an antiquated platform over to Crossbar was a dream! The support is amazing and the features were everything that we had wanted and longed for. It produces a nice looking page and easy to use functions.
PROSMost functions were easy to use and intuitive. I loved the ease of the email function and ability to add links and photos, resulting in an attractive final product. Also having the app functions was a great addition from our last platform. Our parents loved the ability to view the roster and the chat function proved vital.
CONSWe encountered a small learning curve, but the support staff was always quick to answer our questions.
Reason for choosing Crossbar
We have a multisport cross over and this was a nice looking, easy to use product that some had experience with in the other sport.
Reasons for switching to Crossbar
We needed something up to date with more features and functions that we did not have in our old platform. It was clunky and antiquated. Did not look nice nor function great.

It has been so easy and our Crossbar Rep [sensitive content hidden] is so responsive and knows the system inside and out.
PROSIt is so easy to use. I like how it is a one-stop shop for us and the ability to message the customers for a specific program.
CONSI would like for programs and schedule to be synchronized or an option to put that "program" on the facility scheduler and on the public calendar

I do not recall the names of competitors but Crossbar stood out because they were legitimate professionals and it was made by hockey people for hockey people makes our life at a rink so much easier

EZFacility was outdated and WordPress was so complicated, could have been from the company we hired to set up our initial WordPress site but regardless it was so slow and too complicated to work on for me as someone who has no website experience

Youth Hockey Perspective
It’s been very up and down in terms of transitioning. There have been many growing pains and some critical features that are missing.
PROSI do think that for general user the website is intuitive and user friendly so it’s been good a good change overall for our league members.
CONSFrom a managements perspective, I have found it’s missing a lot of functions that we previously had that are important. We cannot track organization membership (USAH number) unless the member is a participant so parents cannot enter their USAH number. There is not an easy way to email the current membership - need to filter by current team and email.

Good site and good support
The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I would recommend the product.
PROSI like the fact that within 10 minutes we had a operational site with post and registrations. The costumer service during the setup process was phenomenal and they were very patient with us and our questions. The look of the site is pretty good though I wish we could customize it a bit more. The communication with the teams is very easy and can be individualized.
CONSIn the payment processing, I wish we could print/email a receipt or an invoice to give to the parents after they have paid. The only solution I was given was to take a screenshot, which is not a very professional look. There are a couple of other small things but nothing that can't be navigated around.

Our football league switched to Crossbar and it was very functional. For our baseball league it hasn't been quite want I was expecting but it's better than our old service.

Switching over to crossbar has been easy and efficient thanks to the help of the crossbar team that is there to guide me. I find Crossbar to be more efficient for storing our company information and building our files all into one place.

Crossbar website review
Our experience has been very positive overall.
PROSThe crossbar website is extremely easy to set up and use from both an administrative and user perspective. It was also very eye catching and a great layout.
CONSI wish the crossbar website had a way for families to digitally sign a document, or download and upload a document.

We love it!
It’s been a great transition so far! [sensitive content hidden] has been such a great help.
PROSEasy setup, new modern site and app, but most of all the support from our account manager has been outstanding!
CONSSo far not a ton. I do wish coaches/team managers could do a little more with managing their schedules (repeating things, cancel of home facility events).

Great Website for our youth hockey club
It has been great! They are very easy to get a hold of when you have a question and they will answer it so it is easy to understand. We have also gotten a lot of compliments on how easy the site is to use.
PROSIt is very user friendly and easy to figure out how to set things up. I also like that you manage this on your own rather then having to submit a request to have something updated.
CONSThere are some features that could be added to make things a little easier. Most are very minor, but would make a big difference.
Reason for choosing Crossbar
With SportsEngine we would have had to submit requests to have features updated. While the cost was similar to CB, we felt since clubs were switching from SE to CB, we felt CB was a good fit for us.

We felt the platform was out of date and it was no longer fitting the needs of our growing club. It gave us a chance to start fresh.

Crossbar has a lot going for it- looking forward to future releases.
Great customer service
PROSThe ease of use when setting up web pages and clean aesthetic is what I like most.
CONSI would love to have a mailing list available that is not dependent on registration. Also would like to see the option to enable recurring events with a start and end date instead of having to upload .xls files.

Crossbar can save your Club time and money
Crossbar started out as a hockey-focused solution. You can still feel this purpose-built craftsmanship in the scheduling tool that's years ahead of other sports management applications. Since then, Crossbar has applied that same level of deep thinking to the payment system, team management, registration, and website building functionality. While many other companies seem to be focusing on how to raise capital or flip, Crossbar is quietly focused on making their software better and serving their customer.
CONSCrossbar's mobile apps continue to evolve and get better versus its competitiors. The team that develops the software continues to make great progress and enhancments nearly every quarter. If there is something your Club needs, I have found asking for it can get it on a roadmap for future development.

Arrowhead Youth Hockey Association - Crossbar Review
Overall, has been great. We've had a few hiccups but the crossbar support has been exceptional.
PROSBack end has improved time/efficiency for many officers. Clean look. We haven't got to try out tournament features yet. Hopefully some day soon.
CONSI would like some additional features around volunteer hours to clear out/reset after a season. Some color coding for parents to apply to each team for their players. I would love to have/see a development schedule to see upcoming features. The more information available to have for the board members the better.

Crossbar makes life easier
Our organization recently started using the platform and it's made my tasks much easier in many ways.
PROSLots of the features are user friendly like the registration reporting and web page management. Updates to player accounts for payment plans is very easy to utilize. I also like that USAH # and basic contact information is built in automatically to all registrations.
CONSI wish there was a way to track dates of offers and dates offers were declined for better record keeping. I also wish that the downloadable spreadsheet for registrations included a column for the registration age groups.

Crossbar is the backbone to a successful organization
Crossbar is critical to running our organization. It allows us to keep our members informed with all the information at their fingertips. As an administrator and scheduler, it is crucial that I have am able to easily import all practice and game schedules, make adjustments as needed, and communicate with everyone effected. Crossbar allows me to do just that, and with ease. Setting up registration, managing payment options, and organizing team rosters is also seamless in the Crossbar Dashboard.
CONSWhen viewing an individual player, it sometimes takes multiple click to get to all the information about that player. Consider adding more information to the player's page.

Thank you Crossbar
We came from League Athletics and it wasn't a great experience for our participants on mobile devices. Crossbar is tremendous on mobile devices and desktops and provides all the functionality we were looking for.
PROSI am the Treasurer for a non-profit sport organization and have been using Crossbar for 8 months now and we couldn't be happier with the product. The website is easy to use/manipulate and the best feature is the automatic payment system so we are not chasing down tuition on a weekly/monthly basis.
CONSThere isn't an easy way to find tuition levels for each team. We have some teams with part time players and full time players but the tuition isn't readily accessible.

Worth the Change
The customer service is TOP NOTCH!!!!
PROSThe product is clean, easy to use and looks great. Registration is a breeze and there are so many great features including the schedule, ease of subscribing to family calendar, and sending out communications to the club or smaller groups.
CONSThere are some features missing, in particular in the app. I wish there was love scoring in the app as well as a way to send communications out to the team and club level easily via email. On the website, it would be nice to be able to delete events not pertaining to me (or my child) but that’s not possible.
