Friendly Manager
Ease of use over having to deal directly with Comet
CONSI find it frustrating that you cannot "order uniform" directly from a persons profile (from admin view)

Use Friendly - Friendly Manager
FM has worked very well for us compared to our last software. Our club has grown dramatically so it's great to have a system that is quick and easy to mange membership reducing admin time.
PROSThe ability for customers to book and pay directly is awesome. We were also able to ingrate with our accounts software. We struggled before with credits on accounts and over or under payments but FM is a breeze. It was reasonably easy to set up FM but of course we lost our club history with the previous software so it is worth saving as much history as you can. Customer support is very responsive. The website is also a nice feature and reasonably easy to update.
CONSFM comes with a host of features like holiday programmes, venues and bookings, etc. Some do not exactly fit what we want to do but we have so far managed to find work arounds.

A requirement of our governing body, but glad we had to switch

Never use this company! Keep looking for another soltuon.
Wost experience you can possibly have
PROSIt has failed twice now with the automatic payment function costing our organisation over $20 000 in lost revenue and all they said was sorry, sorry does not pay the bills
CONSNo accountability and will leave you in the dark

Everything you need to run your club
Friendly Manager is a fantastic club management product. Mobile responsiveness is really important when you are pool side and Friendly Manager delivers this perfectly. Attendance, communication and contact details are all at my coaches finger tips, on their phones. The FM team really understand the sport and club space and helped us through every step of the setup.
PROSI love how Friendly Manager makes a small club look professional without much effort or software knowledge. Jobs can be easily shared between volunteers, with correct access to up to date information. The attendance tracking, segmented email communications and easy timetabling are features I could not live without now. The integration with Xero makes finance easy and the parents can login to FM at anytime to check their balance and make payments, which stops the phone calls!
CONSIt would benefit from a communication app that provides push notifications for quick communication.

Volunteer Saviour
Great experience. We were an early adopter and provided general feedback on what could be improved. The team listened and then have keep developing the product. We would't be able to run our club now without it.
PROSSo easy to use and has reduced the amount of admin we do.
CONSNo app for members yet. We're really looking forward to having an app that can replace the likes of Heja
Reason for choosing Friendly Manager
While the Sporty product was probably more advanced, we didn't like the look and feel. We also felt that Friendly Manager was a company we could partner with and it was willing to work with us in developing the application further.

Thank you Friendly Manager
Currently all of them, as we have not been using the system to our advantage until recently, it is already accurately tracking our member numbers and invoicing and fee's is next on our list.
PROSThis software allows all aspects of a Sports Club's business to run smoothly and with transparency. Instant invoicing and fee tracking is wonderful, as well as tracking membership, easily adding and removing members. It does away with paper membership, and has easily accessible member information at all times.
CONSAt this point we are in the fledgling steps of using the programme for my organisation, though I am experienced with it through another Club. Currently no issues, but if any eventuate I will be in contact with the team.
Reason for choosing Friendly Manager
Although Gymnastics New Zealand made the recommendation, I would still choose Friendly Manager over all other products at this stage as I have seen it used to it's full capacity at another club. I love that it creates easy tracking of all areas of necessity and interest, from retention, fee's owing, uniforms, bookings etc.

Great software!
The ease of how to use it. I like that you can assign different rankings to different users and can send emails to groups, parents, etc with ease.
CONSWhen emailing, some users can only set the reply email to the main organisation email, only the Admin can set their personal email as the reply email. It would be nice to have this changed (unless it has already been changed).

WKAFC - Friendly Manager Review
The customer support has been great! Always quick, and very helpful.
PROSIt is easy to use and allows us to keep track of the wide range of programmes we run at our football club. It is also easy to keep track of registrations, and outstanding invoices. Useful to have all this information in one place.
CONSIt would be useful to be able to customise membership reports i.e., filter out values in a given column without first downloading to CSV. Possibly there is a way to do this, but I haven't been able to do so myself.

Awesome software - Time saver!
We get more done because of Friendly Manager - it allows us to play with horses more and teach youth more.
PROSThat it is personable and reliable and I love the back end support that I get. It makes running our club really easy - Admin is now really really easy, and tasks that would have taken me all afternoon now takes only me an hour.
CONSSometimes the customers emails go to spam but the team are working on that for us.

Really easy to navigate & positive feedback from other coaches.

CONSDifficult to send multiple documents (exceeding 10mb) on mail option. An increase to 15 0r 20mb would be ideal for me individually.

Great Software
Overall our experience with Friendly Manager has been a good one. We have not had any major problems and the staff are always very helpful and friendly.
PROSIt is very user friendly for our members. It has specific reporting features that we need for our governing body and also for us to track our membership. Fees and invoicing are quick and easy.
CONSThe syncing with Xero can be a little frustrating as it only syncs on the hour. Emails often go to members 'junk'.

The product we were using was a US based one and it was too complicated.

Friendly Manager Review
I had one to one contact to get information on how to use friendly Manager and was offered a free trial to see if it work effectively for our centre. Was happy with the help and support I needed, also the fact the help online help within the program.
