PushPress is a cloud-based business management solution for gyms and clubs that helps them to manage their day-to-day business operations. Key functionalities include reservations, check-ins, billing and client management.
PushPress features a point of sale (POS) functionality that allows users to sell products on site such as apparel, sports drinks, supplements and memberships. It supports multiple payment methods and also includes a self-checkout mode. The solution can also project data such as upcoming activities, customer check-ins and workout routines onto television screens using an Amazon Fire Stick integration .
PushPress provides users with an API that allows them to integrate the solution with their websites. Users can sell recurring subscriptions, events and drop-in appointments. The solution also supports integration with third-party systems such as Slack, Facebook, Google, Xero, Wordpress and more.

I love that when I'm sitting with a new member, I'm able to input info without complications and unnecessary steps. The system is very straight forward and easy to navigate. Also, customer service is extremely helpful and quick to respond. The chat window is convenient and the response time is usually within hours, if not quicker.
In the 3 years, I've been using PushPress, I have to say that there isn't anything that I'm unhappy with. I probably don't use half of what the system offers, but my experience with what I use it for has been nothing short of exceptional.

I love how simple it is to set up and run smoothly. It is easy to handle day to day for simple changes when needed, and it is really easy for our members to use.
I'd like there to be better reporting and alerts. That said, there has been many updates to this and I am excited about them so far (and what is coming down the pipe in the future)!

As with anything, there are the occasional glitches and I'm not able to access certain information. The team, however, is fast to respond and usually quick to resolve these.

We run an athletic performance facility. A big portion of our athletes are below the age of 18. Pushpress allows the athlete/parent to sign the athlete up easily on line from landing pages. We are able to attach digital documents to the plans so waivers are signed by parent and stored digitally. Parents can pay online prior to attending class. We spend our time coaching instead of doing administrative task during our training times. Once an athlete is established and on a plan, the system does the rest..From recording check ins, to sending emails when punch cards are out.
It keeps track of our payments and indicates who is late. It will flag athletes that have not paid, by not allowing them to check in.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the customer service. They are very attentive to problems and open to dialogue about features that users would like added in future updates.
Emails...some time the system sends emails to clients when I wish I had a clearer way of indicating if I want an email to go or not. Sometimes our clients get bombarded with emails and the email I actually need them to read and act upon is lost in the mix.
Also the inability to change pricing on the fly for a plan without creating a discount. End up comping plan and charging to invoice...just not nice and clear when looking after the fact. Requires me to make notes in system so I know why they were comped etc.
They have improved using the system for youth athletes, but our problem is kids do not pay the bill. I wish the athletes could check in, but would Athlete would be flagged and we would be flagged in the system if they have not paid...but still records Check-in as owing.
The portal is nice but really needs ability for athlete to check how many punches they have remaining to be valuable.

This software is very cost effective for running my fitness studio. It saves on the budget but you get a lot of bang for your buck. Their customer service is top notch which makes it very easy to have things looked into if something goes wrong (which is rarely).
The software is very easy to use. Menus make sense and it integrates a lot of programs I was currently using so I could still use my old programs without overlap. The customer service is awesome and they get back to me in a very short timeframe if I ever have a problem. They are also always adding new features based on our gym needs which makes them very gym oriented.
It may not be as flashy as some other software companies with quite as many features built in. Integrations may be tricky for some people who are use to an all-in-one approach to their gym software.
Simplicity, customer support (if ever needed). If anything needs changed or updated, Dan and his crew get it done.
No cons on my end. It's hard to find cons when the team is all about their customers experience and satisfaction.

So easy unlike other popular softwares. I moved over from MindBody cause it was more straight forward and easy to use right off the back. We're not a crossfit box but run similar to one and all the "extras" with Mindbody just got too confusing and I'm familiar with software!
Honestly, I can't think of one legitimate one. It has a store access for the members that they can purchase themselves (which is totally awesome) and integration with Mailchimp for any plan so I can drip emails to leads.

The service and the fact that they never stop improving! They are always adding features to make it easier for us as a box owner. We get compliments from athletes when they first join us on how easy they make it sign in or purchase items. When it's easy to buy from the store, your members will spend more money!
There is some back-end tracking things that aren't in place yet, but they are always adding new things as owners ask. So it's a con, but not one they do not try to make better for the user.

The ease with which PushPress transferred our data from our previous platform was phenomenal. We were concerned with downtime and loss of data which could potentially cause issues for our members. We had zero issues and our members love the ease of use. Our communication has increased across the board and the reports consistently give us the data we need to see how our business is functioning. Can't say enough about PushPress, we love it.
Only con is that we didn't switch to it sooner. Had we done so we would be a year ahead of where we are now but we are closing that gap everyday!

The ease. I can run my CrossFit box from afar. I can view member activity, income coming in and my members have an easy tool to reserve and check in. It also runs my product sales - easily.

Not much to Not like. I gave 4 stars because I have only been using the system for a couple months and would not feel right to rank those categories any higher. But Support and Value - I have already experienced a 5 star value.

The backend is easy to set members up. You can easily create plans, discounts, see members, etc. Also, we love how apps integrate in with the software so everything is in one place. Our members love the freedom they have with the store and the sleek check-in method. It's unlike anything we've ever seen from another developer and we love it. Not to mention, if I ever have a question, the support team is on top of it within minutes. All of the staff are very personable and easy going. There isn't something we've come across yet that we don't like.
There are occasional hiccups with certain members seeing the WODs. We can usually resolve it within minutes. I'm not sure if it's a user issue or if it's an issue with the app itself. Because it's typically the same folks, I lean towards a user issue.

I've been able to remove myself from most of the day-to-day admin, since members can self-manage most of their issues through the apps. This has freed up hours from my day to devote to growing the business.
The simplicity. Once the system has been set up, there is very little maintenance that needs to be done with the software. Getting members into the system with a membership is fast and simple. This allows me to spend the time getting to the member, instead of doing admin for the member. It just works.
I also love the dedicated apps. They take a load of my staff and there is less need to have a staff member managing a front desk. These apps make it easy for members to self manage scheduling, checking in to classes, and purchase.
The overall look and feel of the system is elegant. It isn't cluttered like other management solutions (MBO, Wodify, etc). We've had nothing but compliments from our members since the switch!
I would like to see more controls on how to communicate with members and clients. I would like to be able to customize the messages on automated emails.
