TeamSnap is a cloud-based team management solution for parents, coaches, team managers and group organizers. This solution helps users manage team members and communication within teams.

This solution allows users to communicate with team members via email, text messages or a private online forum. Team managers can also send bulk emails to entire teams with a single click.
TeamSnap allows users to create action plans and ensure proper follow-up with built-in reporting features. Members receiving event notifications can reply with their availability.
Other features of TeamSnap include photo sharing, statistics reporting, refreshment tracking and managing sponsorships. The solution can also be accessed through a mobile app available for Android and iOS.

I used Teamsnap to manage a Men's adult softball team for over 7 years
-Players or manager can track player "availability" easily through the app. The player can mark which games they may miss due to vacation, etc. This is useful for tracking how many subs I may need for a given week.
-The ability to track statistics
-Easy to use mobile app
-The ability to send/track messages to team
There are a few things they can work on:
-Stats were great, but were not available on the mobile platform. This was an issue because the majority of the team only used the mobile
-I wanted to lock down 'availability' an hour leading up to the game, otherwise someone could mark themselves out the last minute without me knowing, but this feature was not offered.
-The top stats feature is cool - it allowed you to show the season leaders for stats. But they did not allow you to set a threshold for minimum games - i.e. a qualified player. So a player who went 2-2 in a single game and didn't play another game all season would lead the team in batting average.
-One time I sent out a note to the team to have them mark their availability for the game that week and Teamsnap decided at the same time to do unannounced maintenance on the site, so no one could login
-I was on an annual billing plan, but stopped managing the team half way into the year. There was no refund even though I stopped using the site for 6 months.

Clear, concise and easy to use. Great phone functionality. Easy roster management and attendance tracking tool. Easy email messaging and TeamSnap Live chat tool. You can opt-in or opt out of practice reminders. TeamSnap is the best tool I've found in the sports team management space. I've used other software, and TeamSnap does everything seamlessly.

Players/Parents can share pictures and messages back and forth freely, they just cannot edit Event information.
TeamSnap is a lifesaver if you coach or manage multiple teams. It allows you to post schedules with times and location (locations link to Google maps - so no-one can go to the wrong field). You can check player status to see who is going to, not going to, or undecided for games, events, and practices. It is an easy way to keep the team updated. Seperate tab for seperate teams helps to keep the times and data straight.
Cost. TeamSnap is the same cost for each team you manage/coach. Since I coach multiple times I buy a license for each team. It would be good to get a multi team discount.

it's really convenient. we don't have to exchange numbers of parents in order to communicate. It also has the roster and the schedule that we can just look back on whenever we need it.
the advertisements that are displayed. I don't recall ever seeing an ad on an App like this before. but that's really just such a small thing and easily ignored

Easily communicate with your team
Decent feature set, great value. Everyone seems to be able to use it easy enough. You can add all the event dates to your calendar with a click of a button. There is a group chat.
I can't really come up with any major cons honestly. I've never had to use their customer support so I cannot attest to that.
Tom from Marketfair Commerce dba Goldspot Pens
In using it for my daughter's soccer team, we're able to add the score, pictures from the game, and other notes while the action is going on. However, no one does this.
It feels redundant given the fact that a group text message would notify all involved the same exact way that this application does.
It's incredible for organizing a team. It's easy to use.
WAY too expensive. Rather than one person paying a monthly fee, every user should be able to pay to use it permanently.
Juan from Universidad de Margarita
Form people to be focus on the exercises and its something new because is online, nice way to do exercises too
Sometimes the couches don't try to do his best and thats why people don't know about this product, have to be better
Love the ability to set availability and message in parents in various formats about practice & game schedules. Sends out notifications on upcoming events.
Easy to use app that gives you all the important information a team would need to be informed about the season
Very few downsides when looking at this app from the basis it is an informational tool for team members

Must Have!!! Beast ICE
This is a most have for any hockey team captain. You know who will be attending the game and can fill lines and chat with the whole team.
I would say almost flawless. Does take a little longer to load then I would expect but in general. the app is quicker though. Notification settings are too broad. It would be nice to choose what can notify me.
Wesley from Evolve Strength Training
TeamSnap is easy to use. The notifications are great, and the scheduling features are awesome. It makes it so much easier if something needs to be rescheduled to instantly communicate it to the whole team. I also like that it shows the location of the event/game and you can click on it and it will take you right into google maps.
It can be rather costly. There are some other free options out there but nothing I have found that integrates all of the great features TeamSnap does.
Michelle from Education Management
The cost of this product is great for the amount of information you can quickly manage your team.
This software is extremely user friendly, helps manage and coordinate with my players and parents all in one app.
This software gives you the opportunity to manage multiple teams but the ability to see all teams at one time is an additional cost to the base.

tracks player availability
Functionally it does the basics of what one would want in a product of this nature. Schedules and rosters are relatively easy to import. You can track availability.
The performance of the app, especially on a browser is unbelievably poor. Remember when you used to time fetching a new cup of coffee to certain computer tasks- well that's TeamSnap. Having used the product for years, I can say that performance has continuously degraded. They clearly have developed an application that has difficulty scaling - and they will not admit it.
Too many functionality holes to describe in 1500 characters. Why have a location editor that is not linked to Google Maps or some other namespace. The fact that I have to enter a specific address for a well known location seems absurd. There is no consolidated calendar. Almost everyone I know who uses TS has multiple teams they are tracking - but no means to view a consolidated calendar (except subscribing to each one individually and using your own calendar app. The Assignments feature is designed by a simpleton - there is no way to make multi-event assignments. There are issues in rendering of messages well. You think you are typing into a WYSIWYG editor, and then once you see the message you realize it was a WTHETWTP editor.
Finally, don't report any of these problems. Because al their customer support does is ask stupid questions about what browser you are on, and suggest that the problem lies somewhere else. And then they quickly close out the tickets as "SOLVED" so they look good to their management who are in so far over their heads.

Sorry to hear that, Steve. We did change the app a while back so that it takes a little longer to load up front but should be snappy once you get past that. We will pass all this feedback along to the product folks.

This is a great product, it save time. Can send group emails, chats. full schedules and reminders. i use it for softball teams.
Mary from Sports team
This software is so easy to use to set up all games and practices. Everyone will love the ease of use
Just like any new software it takes a little to get used to. But give it a chance and it will get easier
The ease to add members to a class or event is very easy and they are able to see what they signed up for.
Christine from Self Employed
I love that the schedule connects to my icalander. Changes update automatically. No more digging through dozens of emails. Everything is in one place!
I can¿t think of anything. I love TeamSnap! Everything works smoothly with my iPhone but Other phones seems to have troubles with photo features
Peter from Consulting services
Managing practice and games. It keeps it all in one spot, so it's good for members. Fairly easy to use.
The accounting feature from a Manager perspective is not great. It only works if everything is perfect, which it never is. If someone overpays and therefore has extra money in the system, you can't easily apply those funds to future fees/payments. All they need to do is add ability to "apply" money in an individuals Team bank towards a new fee.
Kirsten from Storm Soccer FC
It is easy to use, very intuitive, and extremely helpful. We love that it syncs calendars and makes communication easy among a team.
Vince from Colorado Storm Soccer - 04 Elite
The ability to send out mass communication to several different team members is huge. The ability to track scores for games and stats is a bonus as well.

Everything in one place - it streamlines communication, organization, and scheduling.
Great way for team managers, coaches, parents and players to communicate. I love the tracking option on here. It is great for collecting tournament papers and making sure you have everything. The roster functionality allows you to include pictures, videos, and stats. The chat feature lets all our parents talk and ask questions in one place. It is a lifesaver. We can also live score games and it sends reminders for me, saving a lot of time. they are always working to improve it and add more features. I wish I would've known about it years ago.
Andy from Union Pacific
saved time and allowed players, parents and other family members to receive the same information.
Ability to select practice and game schedule (together or separate) has the greatest benefit to me and my parents.

Benefits to small fitness business: ease of fitness class scheduling in a list view, ability to keep accountability and see registered participants.
The ease of adding participants from a roster to a class or event is extremely easy. I love that Participants can see what teammates are also signed up!
I dislike the most that everyone there is a class added or changed emails go through to the team; it has been a source of complaints from users.
