My Zoom Meetings Experience

Zoom is the most friendly online meeting platform I have used. The simple to use and intuitive interface makes it easy to use.

Pros

Very friendly and easy to use. I have installed it on my mother's phone for our monthly family meetings before and taught her how to use it. She quickly learned it quickly and was able to use it without any problem.

Cons

The only issue I want to see updated is the room feature. I want to access our chat room, files and documents even after meeting

Reasons for choosing Zoom Meetings

It's widely used with my clients in Africa.

Reasons for switching to Zoom Meetings

I wasn't getting a good experience with the interface and the product itself. I was getting the same information as the other reviewers but the interface was not easy to use.

Zoom is the standard for meetings now

Overall, zoom is wonderful!

Pros

The software is clean, user friendly, and has a wonderful suite of integrations that make meetings seamless and better than ever before. Screen sharing, meeting recording, and webinars/conferences are some of my favorite features. The video and audio quality is consistently better than other competitors. I use Krisp to increase the audio quality of my calls, especially when I'm working in a public/loud place. We also use Otter.ai to record transcripts of the meetings and create easy meeting notes for everyone to view!

Cons

Security and privacy could be a little bit better, but there are also things on the administrator side that can be done to maximize security and privacy in a call. I also wish the chat feature was a little more dynamic. Private messages from one caller to another are not easily seen by the recipient. Notifications would be really appropriate here. Also, if someone comments in the chat something inappropriate, the moderator has no control. The 40 minute time limit for the free accounts is inconvenient, but that's obviously purposeful. The Zoom subscription price point is pretty high, but you're getting a top of the line software.

Reasons for choosing Zoom Meetings

Microsoft Teams used to only be available for team members within the same organization, but now that is no longer the case. Zoom is still easier to use than Teams, which requires the creation of a Microsoft Account. Google meet is great too, and free! But not as sleek as zoom.

Very Good day to day use tool.

Never been disappointed with it. Fantastic experience.

Pros

The fact that i have been using Zoom from more than 2 years, it has become my most important tool to connect to my clients and internal teams. Almost everyone knows how to use it and those who don't get to it in a click or so. The app structure is very simple. Video/Audio quality is far good. Mobile application adds value. I usually use mobile app to connect to the internal meeting while driving and does not have to open my laptop every single min for any connectivity.

Cons

Easy to use and quality of the video and audio. Its launch time is very less and everything on the screen is pretty staring forward. Recording meetings is wonderful and it even notifies other users that recording is going on. Mobile app is my fav.

Reasons for choosing Zoom Meetings

It is was not that expensive and all my friends had a good experience with it. They recommended a good product.

A great big pain in the neck

Mediocre. Troubled. Frustrating. Case in point. One day out of the blue, the free version no longer worked. Sign up for the paid version or else. Little explanation or rationalization. Users were just non-functional one day. The user experience with Zoom is poor! Was this product designed by a gang of angry millennials? Seriously folks, look at your user interface. Do you really think it's that attractive? It reminds me of a 1970's TV-based video game.

Pros

Everyone in the world seems to know this product as the go-to solution. Hence, most users are comfortable with it.

Cons

The user interface is poor. Settings are buried. I have endless irreconcilable issues with sound quality. I have paid for several IT service calls and now I have to reset the sound daily or my clients get me as "Mickey Mouse" voice. It's cumbersome authorizing screen sharing for other parties. Even some of the print on screen is too small. Honestly, I wonder if this product was created for residential use and suddenly found itself a casualty on the pandemic where now they were a household world ripe with business users. I am so tired of Zoom that I am more than willing to be adulterous with Teams and WebEx.
