Great Software for a cultural transformation
We set out to gain visibility on that which we thought we saw each day. Before, we reviewed weekly production reports, mainly based on yield and units/labor hour. Issues would take a week or more to be surfaced, and solutions to fix them longer still. Today, we analyze each line in real time at the operator level, and if any metrics are our out of flux, our team can mobilize to fix the issue immediately and change the outcome for the day. This has empowered our teams significantly and unlocked tons of new capacity and lower costs.
PROS• impactful and yet light-weight platform that gave us instant visibility of our 11 lines in 3 facilities. • multilanguage support in-app, native • mobile first - made deployment easy • up and running in 2 weeks • enabled a focus on outcomes, rather than activities • improved communication on the floor • uniquely integrated for quality & maintenance as well as OEE
CONSNot necessarily a knock on the software, but for our legacy multi-generation family manufacturing business, there was a steep learning curve on some of the technical aspects of on-the-floor data collection. Make sure you have a strong IT infrastructure! I would like to see a special access "admin dashboard" that is in a browser and integrations with digital signage features on the cloud
Vendor Response
Thanks for the thoughtful 'full house' review, PJ. Your focus on the 'outcomes versus activities' is really insightful.

Despatch team leader point of view on using Redzone
We can now see the downtime reasons for the production line and both high care and despatch team are working toward improving line OEE instead in of blameing each other. It gets all departments involved and we are all connected.
PROSI find the Redzone software very easy to use and it helps us to track downtime easily, we no longer need to use pen and paper. We can make adjustments easily and the data is there easily accessible.
CONSSometim there are spots in the warehouse where I can not receive Wi-Fi signal and sometime the sensors can be mis leading , so the information display isn't correct.

Sandridge Review
The coaches and the team really care about changing behaviors and culture (particular callouts to [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]) and that is commendable. They are always willing to listen on how they can improve the product. We're generally happy with the product, but would prefer it if the system forced employees to perform the correct function. Our employees will miss CCP checks and the system allows for this. We're working through it, but would like more functionality from the system on this.
PROSI like the productivity module's focus on visual real-time feedback
CONSThe SPC module is difficult to use effectively and the Compliance module's inability to enforce checks to be completed has been a concern. Also, the Redzone TV's are constantly updating and not working properly. Not sure if this is a Redzone issue, but it's caused us to minimize the use of the TV's.
Vendor Response
Thanks for the review Christopher. I'm sorry that you have some issues, but hopefully the 7 out of 10 ranking reflects that the pros outweigh the cons.

Great tool and it provides great factory insights, voice of a shift manager
before redzone, i used to run around the factory and ask each team leaders on their performance and whats the top downtime at the time. now with Redzone, i can have an overview of all my lines and it provides instant feedback from the production lines. i can easily go the worse performing line and give support to the line leaders, and line leaders find it much easier to report the line managers as all the data are available on the ipad.
PROSi like redzone becuase you can have an overview of whats happening to my production lines, on the condition that people are trained properly and what they are entering is correct information. if they enter bad quality data then we will be seeing bad quality data and therefore make we can loose track easily.however the system is easy enough to use and we can easily identify where the bad data is and give the right training to the right person.
CONSwe still need to make sure the line leaders are trained properly on the system and some of our new starter will take extra time to learn the system. The system only support a few language and not all of the languages are supported.

Area manager experience on using Redzone
We recently just did a kaizen project using redzone and it's very easy to use and able to help us to identify where the problems are and we can easily allocate task the the right people so the matters can be deal with easily.
PROSFrom an area management point of view. it provides very detailed and accurate data and this helps massively when we are tring to resolve daily issues. The systems helps us to interact with others in real time, a simple high 5 can mean a lot to the team.
CONSi honest can not think of any areas where i dont like the system. i feel with any new system, it just takes time and practice to master the skill and using it daily. so far it's been a very pleasant journey and the system helps us to react to problems very quickly
