Love LinkPoint

We have used this for three years and chose it over the salesforce outlook integrator due to much better features and ease of use for different sales staff styles.

PROS

It's very easy to use and implement and has a myriad of ways to see, use, and connect information

CONS

I wish we could connect to custom objects somehow - not sure I would really classify this as a con but it would be great to have that capability!

Great way to efficiently save emails from Outlook to Salesforce!

We do all our email from Outlook, so LinkPoint Connect helps us effectively save emails to Salesforce. We love the Smart Record option, but also helpful to have the ability to tailor the approach for an individual email when necessary.

PROS

Love that Smart Record enables sending and saving simultaneously!

CONS

Seems to take longer to pop up the Record window and complete searches when not in the office on our network.

Well it works... Sorta

Having been a user of LP for 2.5 years now, it is an application that works about as good as you would expect other than the fact that it crashes outlook and causes bugs in my email screens It is an acceptable product for the $ we invest in as there also isn't many alternatives on the market

It adds my emails to SF when I expect it to

It won't add bulk emails segregated by name to SF It crashes my outlook and email screen It is slow and clunky It doesn't scale

Can not work without this tool!

My sales productivity has increased dramatically since using LinkPoint. I don't have duplicate information from Outlook to Salesforce - LinkPoint does it for me.

PROS

Totally integrated with Outlook and makes data entry easy to and from Salesforce very easy.

CONS

Absolutely none.

Great service and quick to respond. Not excited about the recent price jump, but it is the best product out there we've seen to work with our custom salesforce product. Our customers love it. Sometimes it does freeze upon start up and whenever it needs an update it tends to malfunction on about half of our user's PCs and we need to reinstall in some cases. Other than that, we are LinkPoint fanatics.

Overall easy to use; but more functionality would be helpful.

It's convenient for recording emails to our CRM (Salesforce) but it would be better to record the same email to more than one opportunity; sometimes the app randomly signs out and won't let me record emails. Luckily the company IT support we have has been helpful- it's just a bit annoying to have to spend time on it. It would also be nice to have the ability to record a call or set up a meeting with clients we're emailing with; also sometimes the contact info from the email signature doesn't transfer to the correct fields when I am trying to create a new account or contact (i.e. professional suffixes like PE show up as last names and last names are part of first names.) Overall, I'm definitely generally satisfied with how Linkpoint is used in my organization; it definitely makes things easier in managing emails related to our CRM records.

Great addition for a 16 person team

We recently switched to a new CRM system where the stock side bar was clunky and unreliable. LinkPoint has and will again be our go-to for a side bar as it is quick and reliable.

This is a great product. In a time where we have in-depth compliance rules, this software helps capture important data that we have to keep available at all times.

Can not do my job without this tool.

I work in sales. LinkPoint provides an easy interface between Outlook and Salesforce. With one button push - I can send the contents and attachments from an Outlook email to Salesforce. The is a big time saver - I don't have to retype the information from the Outlook message to Salesforce.

Excellent but uses too many API calls

PROS

Super easy to use. Training was a breeze since everything is easy to locate and use. It was also helpful for preventing duplicate records.

CONS

The amount of Salesforce API calls that it makes is outrageous. LinkPoint has been making nearly 100,000 Salesforce API Calls within a week. This keeps us at about 50% of our limit every day. Customer service hasn't been much help either. They keep saying they've never heard of the issue and suggest it is the users settings and don't offer any other solutions. We've tried just about everything!

Great Tool

LinkPoint Connect works great for our organization. Being able to choose templates you've already saved in Salesforce is great! No need to copy and paste. A few downsides: 1) Sometimes the merge fields don't work (and this isn't for the lack of choosing template values. They simply are not recognized), 2) Software needs to be restarted periodically to work, and 3) If you go over your API request limit somehow, software will not work until API requests are reset (usually within 24hrs). These don't happen often, but something to be aware of just in case they do. Overall this is a great tool!
