About SumUp

We believe that every business should have access to affordable, easy-to-use payment solutions, no matter their size. Back in 2012, SumUp was founded by a small team with one goal in mind – to create a world where small business owners can be successful doing what they love. Today, over 3 million businesses rely on SumUp to get paid. We give access to financial services to the millions of businesses that are considered too small for most providers. They’re as much as 10 times smaller than the smallest businesses that would be targeted by banks and traditional providers. What started out as one card reader has now turned into a range of readers, multiple remote payment solutions such as Invoices, Gift Cards, Payment Links and so much more.

SumUp, the best to sell and make money.

My experience was in the ads I saw on TV, and I decided to find out more, it was in 2018 that I saw that interest rates are low, starting with the excellent service for sale and after sales, delivery to my residence was fast, without any problem, and I have been using the device for 2 years and sales have grown since then, very good, well worth it.

PROS

I liked the software because you can earn good money on it by selling, usually people arrive at the store and have no money but she knows that there she accepts card machines the customer can buy, fast, practical and safe.

CONS

I never had any problem with SumUp, excellent service.

Revolutionised our business pretty much

Very happy - this is a very versatile and powerful product.

PROS

The slick integration between EPOS and card payments, stock control, goodeats and reporting. The customisation options and intuitive interface are a lot slicker than other systems we've used.

CONS

We've found that some of the custom payment and cheque options including custom service charge amounts is slightly clunkier than other systems we've used.

Reason for choosing SumUp

integration with ResDiary, front end and customer facing aesthetics, customer support.

Reasons for switching to SumUp

We moved to a cashless system during the pandemic and required an online payment option for customers to pay safely whilst social distancing at our venues. Our previous card reader supplier was also incredible stressful and unreliable.

Great often but not every day

A great way to accept credit card payment with my shop when it's working. The support is long and not really helpfull for a lot of demands.

PROS

easy way to pay with cash register .netEasy way to pay on a shop when it's working well

CONS

often it works but sometime it's so long to do a payment with a client, loading, disconnection, error, no connection... and you don"t know why and when it will arriv.

Reason for choosing SumUp

promotion on payment terminal, no more difference at the time.

Sum up good for card or remote payment links

I've never had any issues, occasionally a connection issue but a simple reset sorted it.

PROS

In my business the sumup card reader is critical as students and parents all naturally assume card payment facilities are available and setup for bank transfer etc was very straightforward

CONS

It seems certain cards (mainly amex) take quite a few days for payments to clear. No idea why

Good value and a no-brainer for offline trading

PROS

The physical SumUp is sleek and looks good on display. I also like that there is no recurring subscription / service fee - you pay upfront for the card reader, and they deduct a reasonable fee from any transactions that are processed through their platform. Inexpensive and good value for even small traders. The battery also lasts a very long time on a charge and doesn't deplete even when left for longer periods.

CONS

The card reader will sometimes connect to other SumUps in the area. Not a huge problem since it will ask you to confirm whether the ID number is correct before you proceed, just a bit annoying when you have customers waiting.
