Easy to use, top tier customer service!
The level of service our team gets from Kangaroo is out of this world. From setup to ongoing support, they've answered our questions with patience and ease. [sensitive content hidden] has been of the top examples of best customer service I've seen across all of our vendors.
CONSNothing yet! Some features were "wishlist" and they've already delivered on some and are looking into implementing others.
Reasons for switching to Kangaroo
Kangaroo offeres more advanced loyalty programs. SlickText only had SMS campaigns where Kangaroo offers Push & Email as well.

Fast-growing platform with great native integrations
Kangaroo had the native integrations we needed. Without this platform, we would have had to build a costly custom API integration from scratch to connect our online platforms. The customer service team are also very dedicated and put a lot of hard work into getting our loyalty program live.
CONSTook a lot longer to set up than our account manager originally estimated; however, customer service and tech support were very happy to assist at no extra cost.

Very positive, would recommend to others.
PROSVery quick communication via email and the process of setting up an app went smoothly. Everything we wanted to be included in our app was made possible. [sensitive content hidden] was very friendly, patient and helpful.
CONSThe time it took to create the app was a little longer than expected, but was understandable as we also had API integration with another company which caused some of this delay.

Kangaroo review
We love having an easy loyalty program that is really good. I like how we've been able to customize it for our slowest day (Wednesdays) to give more points. I am able to reach someone quickly in customer service when I need to.
PROSNo app is required! This is huge to customers and has encouraged many people to join it. I like that it is based on phone number as well because I think that is easier for people to remember than an email. I love the features with the text/email blast options.
CONSWe have been integrating this into our new point of sale system from our old point of sale. We've run into some issues with points/settings not correctly transferring over. I also wish there was a more efficient way to show points on the receipt- right now points are only shown if you replace the notes section in the point of sale. This is more of an integration issue that I hope can be worked out.

Great Loyalty Program with App
A powerful loyalty program with robust marketing and an exceptional app. After going through covid, it really highlighted a need to add a digital component to offer the best experience for our customer base and the ability to communicate and market directly to our customers. Now customers can make a reservation, view our menu, order online, earn rewards and learn about our promotions and new products. I'm very happy and the team at Kangaroo is exceptional in making sure that we were completely satisfied and ready to launch.
PROSI chose Kangaroo Rewards to power our loyalty program because I can create custom rewards and offers, target and market via SMS text and email to my customer database all in one platform. The custom app that they built for me, enables my customers to make a reservation, order online, refer friends, view our menu, browse offers and promotions, market events with custom banners and, track their progress. It's professional and the QR code, let's customers scan in really quickly.
CONSIt's a strong program with a lot of options, so there's a bit of a learning curve. Their support team is really great and I had my team trained up in 1hr.

Comunicating with my customers
We will be communicating better with our customers once we start using all of the features available in the app & the people at Kangaroo have been easy to work with
PROSIt integrates with Lightspeed and I needed a rewards program & a way to communicate with my customers
CONSI feel it is rather expensive, partly because I don't have time to set up and use all of the features I'm paying for. I think the Lightspeed app is expensive also but I need something to run my business effectively and these apps work well together

I like everything about the system. They did good work putting it together.
CONSNot being able to set our customers up with a default PIN when signing into the Loyalty App for the first time.Our customers currently have to email Kangaroo support in order to establish their PIN when using the Loyalty App for the first time.

Easy to Use, Excellent Support
Overall it's been a very positive experience with Kangaroo from setup, to implementation and use.
PROSI like Kangaroo for the ease of use. Scheduling out messaging makes life easier. Customer engagement is high with this program. The customer support team is very helpful and easy to contact with quick response times and resolutions.
CONSAreas of improvement would be having to pay for extra texts if you go over your monthly allowance. I would prefer to just send texts out and then be billed for them instead of trying to figure out how many more I need to purchase in order to cover my monthly messaging.

Kangaroo is used with the Franchise I own. I could have chosen my own but I like the functionality of this one.

Kangaroo is Great!
Overall experience (from initial contact to using the app) was exceptional.
PROSKangaroo has the amount of customization we were looking for from a loyalty, promotion, and marketing package. We have used other loyalty programs and for a similar cost we were able to transfer to Kangaroo successfully and our customers love it.
CONSThere was a bit of a learning curve, but after our employees learned how Kangaroo was integrated into our POS system they love it.

The flexibility Kangaroo offered well exceeded our previous Loyalty option.

I chose Kangaroo as a means to launch a loyalty program. To date, all efforts have been on setup and training. We will launch to the consumer in January.
PROSThe software is very easy to use for the consumer at the store register and makes onboarding more likely. The support team has been very good so far.
CONSThere are some bugs in the mobile apps that are being fixed.
