Great product for a Small / Medium Business

Once we pass the initial challenges from the initial implementation, it does have become an invaluable part of our daily operations.

PROS

We are using this CRM for some time and really have become a critical tool for our commercial team, it has great lead tracking capabilities that allowed the reduction of the time needed for closing deals. Customizing reports anyway we want is a great tool in managing our forecasts. In addition, we were able to integrate it with several tools with no problem.

CONS

The investment in this tool is high since NetSuite was acquired by Oracle. Third party integration can be challenging if you don't have a specialized support team. We did have to spend some time training our associates.

We did a cost / benefit analysis and NetSuite CRM had the highest score.

We needed a more robust and flexible tool to improve our commercial capabilities.

NetSuite SuiteCommerce is Powerful But Pricey

We liked the interface and capabilities of SuiteCommerce, but we did not enjoy the costs associated with ownership. SuiteCommerce may have been too aggressive of a platform for where we were in terms of eCommerce presence and sales as we were trying to build it out. Other platforms may have been a better option in our case, but SuiteCommerce is probably a better fit for a company going all in on eCommerce and is ok with the up front spend to get it going.

PROS

SuiteCommerce offers all the features you need for a successful eCommerce implementation.

CONS

The price to purchase and implement, and the cost for 3rd party developers can add up very quickly. A proper assessment of ROI is needed to see if other options may be more viable.

We had little option but to agree to implement SuiteCommerce for the division it was to be used for.

Reasons for switching to NetSuite

We were kind of forced to make the switch to NetSuite SuiteCommerce for our US division as it was selected by the person over-seeing those operations. We probably would not have selected this platform for where we were in our eCommerce presence.

NetSuite: Powerful but complex all-in-one business management software

NetSuite is a powerful and comprehensive all-in-one business management software that offers many benefits to businesses. With an integrated solution for managing all business functions, NetSuite provides real-time visibility into all business operations, enabling decision makers to make informed decisions based on accurate data. The software is also scalable and can adapt to current and future business needs.However, NetSuite's cost and complexity can be a drawback for small businesses, which may find the cost prohibitive and implementation difficult. Large enterprises may need additional resources to manage and customize NetSuite to suit their needs. Despite the many advantages that NetSuite offers, there are also disadvantages to consider. I like the fact that NetSuite is highly cost-effective.

I think NetSuite is an invaluable tool for managing projects and accounting. It offers efficient billing and payment processing, and its user interface is easy to navigate. With a few modifications, it could be even better.

PROS

One of the things I like most about NetSuite is its automated billing system. This feature automatically charges customers for subscriptions and invoices, making billing and payment processing quick and easy. Additionally, it keeps a record of customer accounts and their payment statuses, saving me time and effort.

CONS

However, one of the things I don't like about the software is its lack of customization. While the software does offer some customization settings, it doesn't offer the same range of options as other platforms. This means that I can't make adjustments to the software as my business grows and changes.

Overall a great accounting software for medium-sized businesses

Overall switching to NetSuite transformed our Finance team from data entry people to auditors. With most menial tasks automated or semi-automated, it freed up more time to audit our data and be more proactive with our accounting in general. Revenue management, which used to be a 100% manual, line-by-line nightmare, is now almost fully automated. Human errors were greatly reduced. Our sales opening process is almost fully automated thanks to the seamless Salesforce integration. Overall we are very satisfied with our switch.

PROS

The Revenue Management feature is amazing, a bit tricky to understand but once you get the hang of it it saves a ton of time.Multi-subsidiary and multi-currency work extremely well. We have 8 different subsidiaries in 3 currencies and it's made our lives so much easier to have them all in one place, with automatic currency conversion and automated end-of-month eliminations.Having automations like monthly postings to our GL, amortization calculations for our numerous IT purchases and monthly subscriptions, and the great reconciliation tool has saved us a ton of time during month's end.Integration with Salesforce was a breeze with an out-of-the-box connector.Support is generally very knowledgeable, problems are quickly fixed and answers quickly answered. There is a great Help tool (SuiteAnswers) where we find an answer to most of our problems, as well as a very active Enhancements Requests database.

CONS

Some features lack flexibility, like revenue recognition posting, but there are workarounds.User adoption can be slow because the system is very different from most mainstream systems, with it being so automated.Sales taxes management for Canada isn't totally adapted since they replicated American functionalities with Canadian codes, but there are also workarounds to this.

Reasons for switching to NetSuite

We used to keep our accounting in four different software, with subsidiary eliminations being done totally manually. It wasn't scalable anymore and we needed a tool that would allow for more automation and less data entry as well as easier reconciliations between subsidiaries and currencies.

"Revolutionize Your Business with NetSuite: A Comprehensive Review"

My overall experience with NetSuite has been very positive. We have been using the platform for several years now and have seen a drastic improvement in the efficiency of our business operations. NetSuite has enabled us to streamline and automate many of our processes, which has allowed us to dedicate more time to providing higher-quality customer service.NetSuite has allowed us to significantly reduce manual data entry and paperwork and has helped us to better manage our inventory and financials. Pros:1. NetSuite Software is very user-friendly and easy to use with a great user interface.2. One of the cloud accounting software automates for Business Owner

My overall experience with NetSuite has been very positive. The platform is easy to use and understand, and the user interface is straightforward and intuitive. The features are comprehensive and allow for a wide range of customization and automation.

I liked the fact that NetSuite is an all-in-one business management suite that is designed to help businesses streamline their processes and manage their data in a more efficient manner. A way to facilitate the work of our team

In my personal opinion, we can say that this product is of excellent quality, in addition to the fact that it is easily accessible from any computer anywhere, and it is very easy to customize a report to later be able to run it monthly, quarterly or annually, so we We can say that it is a great tool.

PROS

What I like the most about this tool is that it has many customization features that allow our team to constantly improve processes and make everything more visible, plus you can also access the system from anywhere, Netsuite is very flexible and easy to use.

CONS

Since we have been using this tool, we have not found any fault with this product, rather we can say that we are comfortable with it, because it is dynamic and precise and it adapts to our business needs.

One of the top-performing ERP systems globally.

PROS

Netsuite stands out as a top-performing ERP system that excels in organizing and managing diverse business transactions and policies. Its customizability allows for tailoring records and transactions to suit different business requirements, while its purchasing cycle, integrated with accounts and inventories, adds to its practicality.

CONS

Netsuite is a useful application, but there are areas that require attention. For instance, it does not comply with certain countries' policies and laws, such as Jordan's use of three decimal places for currency, as the software only allows for two decimal places. Moreover, finding learning resources for Netsuite online can be challenging due to limited availability.

Small Retail and Internet Businesses Beware

On paper things looked good. Two years down the road and I am running the company by gut instinct and need to overview every order to make certain it is covered. Inventory is a mess. Projections are not available. And COGS are often zero. ACS is a ripoff- most jobs were not completed within a quarter- and we still have hours remaining. Job not done? Too bad. Use ACS for install only and then bite the bullet after the first year. Their hourly charges are ridiculous. I am uncertain if Netsuite even remotely cares about small accounts- this is an 80K program. And it is costing us approx 200K yearly including lost revenue due to inventory, additional staff, and lost productivity. Language has been an issue. Even our quote from netsuite for renewal has needed careful overview. Finally we were instructed by netsuite to hire an outside party to get the jobs done that someone else could do. At $145 per hour. Fingers crossed. Netsuite assumed zero responsibility for anything. So, if you are a small business that is growing and changing reasonably quickly I would strongly urge you to seek another program. The program has kept our company dead in the water. For at least 18 months. My experience with Dynamics, which also has difficulties, was better with high functionality within 12 months. Needless to say, we are signing the contract with Netsuite but will switch once it is expires and we are more prepared. They simply do not provide adequate service to smaller businesses.

PROS

I would assume it would be good if it worked. AS is the only functionality we have are additional integrations. Ones that cost 9K.

CONS

Customer service is pretty awful. Jobs simply were not done. It was similar to playing the game telephone. While our rep is sympathetic they have little or no power to do anything.

Lots of Potential for Large Businesses, but Not a Good Fit for Small Businesses

For small businesses, I would not recommend Netsuite. The licensing is very expensive, and you ideally need a certified Netsuite professional on staff in order to utilize the software to its full potential. The customer service experience was also lacking, but that tends to be ubiquitous across most platforms of this genre. For big businesses that can dedicate staff to the maintenance and configuration of the application, there are endless possibilities, and you are likely to find everything you need all in one software bundle. For everyone else, however, I would suggest a more economical option.

PROS

Netsuite has seemingly endless business uses and integrations, and can perform a wide variety of tasks from basic accounting to project management. The system itself is very customizable to meet your specific business needs, with a variety of different service add-ons available for and additional fees. When used correctly, Netsuite can potentially be a one-stop shop for all of your primary business functions, and is adjustable to accommodate virtually every user role possible.

CONS

Netsuite is very expensive, even for its basic feature package. The licensing fees increase each year automatically, and there is little room to negotiate with your account manager. In my experience, customer service has been less than satisfactory, and you are constantly tossed back and forth between departments whenever there is an issue. The customization process for the application is also extremely complex, so if you do not participate in formal training program for the software, you may have a difficult time setting up your desired features.

We switched from QuickBooks online over to Netsuite to gain access to more services, but then eventually switched back to QuickBooks because Netsuite was too expensive and complex.

One source of truth

Our move to Netsuite was very smooth and allowed for us to transition with no downtime. Support has been outstanding and the ability to customize ourselves has been invaluable as we continue to make it our own.

PROS

NetSuite provided our once disjointed business with one single source of truth. All users now have access to an all around view of our customers making business decisions easier and allowing information to be readily available real time.

CONS

The standard inventory module is very standard - while allowing for multiple warehouse locations, item/bin location reporting can be tricky to create without advanced module.

Netsuite could be a single source of truth for us - and met all of our business needs in one package.

Reasons for switching to NetSuite

Our systems were not integrated which required a lot of duplicate entries and mismatched information. Out teams only had part of the picture.

Good ERP for Medium-sized Businesses

Our company switched to NetSuite from using QuickBooks for years. NetSuite is a much more robust software, and what drew us to it was the reporting capability. So far, after 18 months using the product, it's been a challenge to extract the reporting we were sold on. It seems like a classic disconnect between the sales rep and the technical team and/or actual execution. Or, maybe our expectations were just too high.

PROS

NetSuite keeps track of our accounting activity well. As NetSuite will tell you, they were built with Finance as their first priority. The software is a single source of truth for the majority of our business activity.

CONS

There's a steep learning curve for getting the most out of the software, specifically around reporting. And there is literally no support from the NetSuite team unless you pay big quarterly fees for their Advanced Customer Support on top of the regular software costs. It seems like the NetSuite team would want you to be equipped to properly use the full functionality of the software, but they don't seem incentivized to proactively educate and/or support their clients. This is not to say competitors will do any better. In fact, I believe NetSuite offers the most value as an ERP to medium-sized businesses.

We out grew QuickBooks and NetSuite allowed us to automate some of our accounting functionality.
