DocuSign Software

DocuSign is a cloud-based electronic signature solution for organizations of all sizes and most industries. The platform can be used to sign various types of documents including business contracts, school permission slips, agreements and approvals.

Value for Money

Pros

DocuSign took the leg work out of getting important paperwork signed and processed, including contracts, time/duty sheets, and contract amendments. The program is incredibly convenient and you will be surprised at how helpful it really is once you start using it. No more faxing over documents and waiting hours or even days for it to be returned with a signature. Use the free trial offered on the website for a taste of the good life.

Cons

The user interface can be a little daunting for people that are not tech savvy and there are not many additional or special feature to note. Also, the pricing is a bit much for what the program can do. You get a good deal if you pay for a full year in advance.

There has to be a better way to get forms more presentable than spending hours to get them perfect. Right now, modifying form fields is too painstaking. Maybe a zoom feature would help or a feature that recognizes lines or boxes on a document and can click in place a fillable field.

Pros

I like the ease of sending a form to an employee. I also appreciate being able to replace a document but it is only easy if the document is already divided into sections.

Cons

Trying to update a form and get the fields exact is very frustrating. As one who wants the fillable fields actually on the line of the document, it takes precision and is not user-friendly trying to be precise.

Pros

DocuSign takes the hassle out of obtaining signatures on important documents. I love that it can all be handled via email and saved electronically as well. It saves on processing time for transactions and contracts.

Cons

I have not used this product long enough to find any cons. Guess I'm still in the honeymoon period. However, if I run across any, I'll be sure to update this review! :-)

Pros

I like that you can indicate where one should sign and date just by dragging and dropping. Not only that, but you can indicate which party signs where which is very helpful to the recipients. The dashboard itself is very user-friendly, clear, and easy to navigate.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that there is no pop-up tutorial when first signing in, at least for institutional users.

Definitely worth the cost of membership.

Pros

This product allows multiple parties in different locations sign a contract without requiring the documents to be printed multiple times. Signing a document can occur in seconds no matter where the parties are from a phone, tablet, or computer.

Cons

Once the document is completely signed, it is sent to all parties, which is great, however, it would be nice if the email showed the distribution list so each recipient knows who else has already received the document.

My company recently began using Docusign for all major contracts (Service Agreements, Franchise Agreements, etc). It has taken the headache out of a normally painful process.

Pros

Docusign is very easy to use, and simplifies the process of completing contracts to a great degree. By increasing turnaround time and cutting out shipping costs, the product pays for itself. Added bonus: positive environmental impact!

Cons

There really aren't many negative aspects I've found utilizing Docusign. I'd imagine that it could influence certain users to speed through a contract without fully reading each section, but that's up to the user.

I love using Docusign. I wish we would have used it sooner. It saves money, reduces our paper and printing costs, and is better for the environment. If your company uses signed documents, you need Docusign. Plus, once the client signs, you have the signed document immediately. No more waiting for it in the mail, or fussing with faxes.

Pros

Docusign saves on paper and printing costs. It makes file storage much easier and more convenient that traditional file storage. Your customers will appreciate the electronic form over paper.

Cons

No cons that I can think of. It will take a little effort to set up your documents, but that's to be expected for any new system.

Great all around product, has everything you need in a digital signing software and is very user friendly and intuitive to use.

Signing documents from anywhere, with just a tap on my phone - what's not to love? The interface is simple and intuitive. I wish that all products were as easy to use.

The pricing structure. As an end-user (I've used it as someone signing, and someone seeking signatures), you don't see this side, but I'd greatly prefer being able to pay by the document/signature, rather than monthly/quarterly.

Reducing the time that it takes to send out forms to receiving a completed forms has been reduced significantly.

Pros

DocuSign is easy to use with a pretty simple user interface. Document creation and submittal is pretty smooth. Clients are able to receive and open with no issues. For the client to complete and submit the documents it is simple and quick.

Cons

I would not mind if DocuSign had an auto remind feature for the recipient. This would be a generic message asking them to either review documents, if they haven't opened the file yet, or remind them to complete the document if the recipients have viewed but not completed the forms.

The ease of use is just stellar. Putting together a template was easy as pie, and I loved all the many options of sign, date, initial, etc. After writing our offer letter, we simply uploaded it and added in the places for the new hire to input their info. Now it takes me mere minutes to add the recipient, and send it off.

Efficient electronic document signatures.

Pros

DocuSign is efficient for working on contracts or anything where you need to have a digital signature. DocuSign enables you to efficiently email documents to people who are "signers" and it provides reminders if a person misses a signature spot. Documents will not be forwarded until they are completed. When they are signed they are automatically emailed. The software is easy to set up. DocuSign can be set up to be emailed to the same address for two different people to sign. This is helpful when two people share the same email address.

Cons

The software can take a little bit to figure out as some of the training videos are not the best. It is important to remember that you cannot edit a document until you have an email address that it is going to be sent to. DocuSign can be set up to be emailed to the same address for two different people to sign. This is both a positive but is also a negative for security purposes to verify who signed the document.

Pros

I like that you can make documents essentially "error proof" when sending to clients. Once you have the initial and signature areas set, it's pretty much guaranteed that clients will correctly and completely sign the documents (which is not always the case when you send someone hard copies to sign).

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve so it is easy to make some missteps when first using it. For instance, not fully understanding the settings pertaining to the order of signing and sending a document with requirements that a particular person sign first without realizing it.
