## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.6/5
- Total reviews: 2,243

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.4/5
- Customer support: 4.4/5
- Value for money: 4.5/5
- Functionality: 4.5/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 1,569 reviews (70%)
- 4 stars: 574 reviews (26%)
- 3 stars: 88 reviews (4%)
- 2 stars: 9 reviews (0%)
- 1 star: 3 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- I use it for everything in my company -- from organizing our very large annual conference, to running several seminars, to publishing books and journals, to managing our contacts.
- I enjoyed the switch to be able to flip back and forth between grid view and gallery view on the swap button, so my older guys could see how they would go with it in a practice setting.
- Listings, client data, and follow-ups were kept at the forefront and up-to-date, project collaboration was improved with clear deadlines, and agents were able to rapidly re-prioritize and transfer, losing fewer opportunities and gaining greater client satisfaction.

### Most mentioned cons

- It can be challenging to connect directly with a support representative, as most assistance is handled through email, and in some cases, additional support may come at an added cost. While the platform offers powerful features and automation capabilities, some of these functions can be complex and nuanced for users to navigate.
- The mobile app needs some love, as it takes a lot of taps to get to the data/tables you use most often — let me favorite tables! And most of all, the inability to merge fields is a huge blind spot.
- Airtable is clunky and hard to manage large amounts of data.

Overall I'm very satisfied with Airtable. My team and I all use it on a daily basis. It allows us to integrate all of our types of data and functions into one place, making it much more powerful. We also integrate Airtable with Zapier, Documint, and other platforms when needed.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

We use Airtable for a huge variety of functions, like data management, project management, content management, CRM, and more. Airtable is extremely customizable.

#### Cons

I don't have many cons. Occasionally we bump into an advanced function that we would like to achieve that Airtable doesn't support. That said, there are usually ways to work around it and they are continually adding new features.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

We used a variety of tools, none of which were easy to customize for our specific needs. Airtable allowed us to unite everything on one platform and create powerful applications without extensive coding knowledge.

### Airtable is a great multi-functional project management tool

I use Airtable as a project management tool that serves many purposes, including as a central repository, data visualizer, and connector of disparate pieces of information. Would definitely recommend!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Other than the intuitive navigation, what I like most about Airtable is the ability to connect information. I use it as a project management tool and, as the projects get more complex, having something to help align different resources/information is a great help.

#### Cons

Sometimes I experience lag when working with larger datasets. This can be frustrating when it happens, but thankfully it doesn’t happen often.

### The Pros and Cons of Airtable

I would give Airtable a 7.5 out of 10, just because it is a complex software system that requires a lot of trial and error, which can be extremely time-consuming and cumbersome. I believe that if their support team were able to give better advice on how to fix simple issues, ie: having a quick call to discuss, a lot of my troubles would have been solved much sooner.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Airtable is an excellent tool for project and task management because it presents information in a way that is easy to understand, visualize, and follow. Its automation features allow teams to efficiently communicate updates to key stakeholders, reducing administrative work for project managers while keeping the broader organization informed and aligned on project progress.

#### Cons

One area where I believe Airtable could improve is its customer support experience. It can be challenging to connect directly with a support representative, as most assistance is handled through email, and in some cases, additional support may come at an added cost. While the platform offers powerful features and automation capabilities, some of these functions can be complex and nuanced for users to navigate. I believe Airtable could enhance the user experience by making automation setup more intuitive and user-friendly, as well as simplifying the way levels are structured and how records are duplicated. Additionally, when users seek clarification on specific issues, support responses often consist of follow-up questions or references to help articles that do not always address the original concern. More direct, personalized support would help users resolve issues more efficiently and maximize the value of the platform.

### Powerful Data Platform

- Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: January 2026

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I have become an Airtable evangelist after my organization had adopted the platform as our source of truth. As a relational database, it allows organizations to store large amounts of dynamic data in organized, reliable ways. The fact that it can be used as a no- or low-code tool makes it easily adoptable. And, with the right architecture, automations, and even scripts, it can become a powerful collaboration and project management platform.

#### Cons

The Airtable team keeps growing its features, but there is still room for growth in the types of data and visualizations that can be seen in interfaces. More complex form features, like matrices and advanced conditional logic, could help it replace other survey tools at my organization.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

My organization needed a more reliable way to manage our data.

### Good software but pretty expensive so not for everyone

As we are remote based workers, the tool eliminates us constantly messaging each other through the day asking “what’s the status”, the status is available in the base. The data replication from our existing tools is also simplified and I am not forced to enter the same information twice (which wasted hours of my time prior). It has provided value to the marketing team as they now have a centralized location to house their creative assets so they’re not drowning in an ocean of emails.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The forms worked better than expected at automating data intake, so I don’t have to type everything in by hand and I’m grateful for that. The ability to view both a timeline and a board view give me a visual of the disaster that we have going on as far as our schedule goes without having to ask the five different people involved what’s going on.

#### Cons

The mobile application feels stiff and upon clicking links from an email they do not open within the app and instead load forever making me want to simply throw the phone. There seems to be an ease in over engineering the entire system and subsequently no one will know how to use the system as we’ve created it to be too complex due to the excessive amount of fields.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

Smartsheet is very expensive, but Airtable is more affordable while offering the same features.

I've used Airtable for the last 6 years at two different companies and have loved working with it. It is easy to use, highly customizable to specific outputs, and continues to grow its features over time.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The level of customization with Airtable is unmatched with any platform I've used previously. Each base can be uniquely designed to fit the use case, and I've used to many different projects and tasks throughout my career. Each base can also be shared with specific people, ensuring greater collaboration for those who need it.

#### Cons

The functionality has become more limited on the free version; although the cost per user per month is a good value for what you receive in benefits, including the advanced features, interfaces, automations with emails, etc.

#### Reasons for choosing Airtable

The level of customization in the views, ability to easily create multiple views, email notifications

Our team operates one of the largest Airtable environments — possibly the largest — and that speaks volumes about the platform’s flexibility and capability. Airtable has been instrumental in helping us build a robust, highly customized infrastructure to support our operations. That said, working at this scale does present challenges. As our environment has grown, we’ve started to notice performance slowdowns on an almost daily basis. It's a testament to how deeply integrated Airtable is in our workflows — but also a signal that further optimization at scale would make a big difference. The mobile app, while feature-rich, has been less reliable in our experience. It tends to crash or close unexpectedly about a third of the time we open it, which can be frustrating in time-sensitive situations. Despite these issues, Airtable remains a core part of our system, and its potential continues to impress. We’re optimistic that future updates will bring even greater stability and performance, especially for enterprise-scale users like us.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I came to Airtable with very little coding knowledge, but it not only helped me accomplish everything I needed — it actually propelled me beyond basic programming skills. Learning to use formulas and scripts within Airtable gave me the confidence and tools to start thinking like a developer. What really sets Airtable apart is how it continues to evolve. New features and added flexibility are introduced regularly, keeping the platform fresh and constantly improving. No other low-code product I’ve tried comes close to matching its balance of power, ease of use, and adaptability. If you're looking for a tool that grows with you, Airtable is in a league of its own.

#### Cons

I know from discussion with the support team we have one of the biggest, if not the biggest, environments. With this massive infrastructure we have built it is almost daily we experience slowdown. The mobile app is undependable. I find it self closing at least 1 out of every 3 times i open it.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

* This was not a single product switch. We were using a product owned by our biggest competitor and still utilizing multiple tools. We wanted to have a tailored, all encompassing product to operate our company.

#### Pros

Airtable is offering amazing ways to organize and manage data. I've been using it for many mouths now and I'm completely loved to it. Unlike Google Sheet or Excel, there's almost less risk for me to messing up the data.

#### Cons

I don't like how it doesn't show who made the last changes. I can see the version history, but I'm not able to know who made it.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

Notion looks very much like Airtable, but it isn't meant for data asset management. It only offers a few MB for storage for the free plan, I would say.

### Easy-to-learn and great for sleek formatting

Positive! Learning Airtable was efficient. I appreciated the "drag and drop" capabilities to move text from an Excel format into a format within Airtable to export to PDF. Formatting headers and bullet point lists was a bit slow and laborious.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The design was intuitive to use- a coworker was able to show me quickly how to import data from Excel into Airtable and format it, then pull it out as a PDF. I used Airtable to format one-pagers that included headers and bullet point lists. All of this functionality worked well.

#### Cons

There is no equivalent of the Microsoft Paintbrush tool for easy formatting; you have to retype the text and reformat it how you want. This makes formatting time-consuming. There are, however, plenty of fonts and text options (bold, italics, etc.) so you have available to you similar functionality to the rest of Microsoft Word.

#### Reasons for switching to Airtable

Formatting hundreds of one-pagers in Word to then save them as PDFs was incredibly time-consuming. It basically meant hiring a temp for a month per year. Using Airtable, instead we could download qualitative (text) data in Excel and import it into Airtable for quick formatting to export it as a PDF directly Airtable.

Airtable makes managing data pretty and functional in ways simple spreadsheets simply cannot. With their multiple views, integrated data, and smart capabilities (not to mention the AI features!), it's a solid tool worth playing with.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the way the views of data are customizable to serve the specific needs you have at the time. Different teams required different components of the same dataset to be visible while accessing, and Airtable made it easy to create filtered views for each.

#### Cons

Airtable is incredibly customizable. It can be used for a variety of tasks, from project management, contact libraries, inventory tracking, grant-tracking, to-do lists, comms planning, etc. It is really a jack-of-all-trades product.

#### Cons

You have to set aside dedicated time to bring people on board to use Airtable, even as viewers. Some people may find it too complicated to learn to create their own tables.

Airtable makes it easy for us to stay organized with our production timelines, interviews, and media assets in a way that feels visual and flexible. And I like that I can toggle between a spreadsheet view and a kanban board, depending on where my project is at.

#### Cons

Scaling up with advanced features can get expensive and some integrations will require additional setup time if you want to functionally automate the task.

The enjoyment my eyes get on a well designed page. It's like Excel with a facelift. I can change it to suit my needs and have used it for several different ideas.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The free version is more than enough. I love the colouring and full customisability. Great across all genres.

#### Cons

Sometimes it would freeze when saving, but eventually it would work and no data was lost. Maybe the colour palette could do with more range.
