My favorite email solution

I've tried a lot of email marketing services and this is by far my favorite. Their team is open to suggestions and it's not uncommon to ask for a feature and see it implemented a few months later. They also have regular webinars that teach you not only hot to better use their product but also how to improve your email marketing overall.

Pros

The value for the money and the fact that the team keeps improving the product and has been loyal to their early adopters by grandfathering in their pricing. Their support is amazing.

Cons

There have been a few glitches over the years, but they always take responsibility and make it right. There have been deliverability problems in the past, but they've improved and are now one of the top companies for deliverability.

Decent email software

Pros

This is an economical email marketing software that allows for automation and facilitation of email and marketing campaigns. The lite version provides most of the basic functionality you need to get it off the ground.

Cons

The "lite" version is watered down and unless you are a very early stage business, you'll need the full version to unlock the full potential of the software. Some features seem to be there to "check the box" when comparing this to other options, but seem a bit half-baked.

It was great when it fit our needs

Love the product and would definitely recommend it to companies who's needs match what they can offer.

Pros

The price is great for the number of subscribers it offers. The features were great especially unlimited number of emails sent out. If you really want you could backdoor it but once it hits 10,000 subscribers as a limit, you'd have to send it out multiple times if you have more than 10,000 which is time consuming.

Cons

Again the price was great but if you have more than 10,000 subscribers then this isn't for you. The price is lower than Mail Chimp but Mail Chimp offers an unlimited subscriber option. It costs more but if you have that many subscribers then it's worth it. MailerLite was good for us but once we exceeded that number it wasn't a match any longer.

So Far I Love It

Pros

I am fairly new to this software but so far I am really enjoying it. It seems easy to use and intuitive which is key for email marketing systems. There are great features, even for the free version, such as drip campaigns, tagging, segmenting, landing pages, etc.

Cons

The only thing I haven't liked so far is that they just increased the rates. They took away some of the features for the free version and honestly I cannot blame them for it!

best FREE email software

I like how PRETTY and professional the templates are, and the drag/drop is so easy to use. However, with Mailchimp now offering many of the same features in their free plan, I might look into switching back... as they feel a bit more reliable in the long-term.

Pros

Not only does MailerLite let me send out beautiful newsletters, they also offer email drip-campagins (sequences) as well as landing pages/thank you pages for FREE.

Cons

The software has been buggy at times, where I go to send a newsletter and it can't access my list of contacts. Customer service always gets back to me quickly, to let me know that they are working on fixing the issues, but it happened more than once, so I'm worried about the long-term reliability.

Great tool with awesome customer support!

Nice tool, with very good price/quality-ration. And their support is just great. So in my opinion: maybe they are not the biggest and the best known mailing-app out there, but they definitely are worth a try!

Pros

Customer support is awesome. Next to that, the tool is just great and easy to use. It has already quite some nice features, and it seems that their team is very eager to add new features regularly.

Cons

Some nice-to-have features are missing, but I have the feeling that they will follow in the near future.

Difficult to choose, but this has great functionality!

Pros

Simple, but effective! Everyone out there just uses Mailchimp. Up till now I haven't decided if this is any better, but their integrations, popups and landing pages are definitely nice to have! Pricing also looks great, in fact, much better than the example I just mentioned. Would definitely recommend trying it out!

Cons

Nothing really, maybe better onboarding, with making sure, you actually end up completely setting up the software. But it's also nice to not have something shoved down your throat and they let you explore yourself.

A Mailing Service that makes their competitors look dated

I will continue using MailerLite. They leave competitors like ChailChimp in the past.

Pros

I love MailerLite and I use it for years for my company's newsletters. They are easy to use and offer any feature that you might need at far better price than their competitors.

The pricing of MailerLite is probably the best in the field. It allows you to send unlimited emails to your list. You pay per subscriber, not per email, which is quite convinient for companies with 5000+ subscribers.

Another thing that I like is their current design layout, dozens of premade templates for the holidays and how easy it is to setup everything by yourself without having to read complex guides.

Cons

I really feel that their support can and SHOULD be improved. In their live chat often times I feel like I am speaking to the little sister of the support guy. They need like 20 minutes to even understand my question. When they finally get it, they inform me that smeone with the required qualification will email me in a few days with a solution to my problem. This has happened several times already and such a great product deserved better support squad.

Simple but powerfull email marketing

If you are looking for affordable solution that offers same functionalities as MailChimp, you found one great alternative. Because competitors are strong, MailerLite is trying to keep with their pace adding lots of new features making them the best email marketing solution for all your needs.

Pros

New MailerLite drag and drop mail editor is amazing! There are tons of block available for you to use. If you need header you just select header from dropdown menu and you are greeted with few general block. Every block is then easily customizable with tons of options which will certainly make your emails special. Recently they added quick survey block so you can ask your subsribers how much did they like your email on a scale from 1 to 10 so you no longer need to use any external source.

Cons

Custom fields are available but they offer only basic functionalites. I miss image tag and field desperately because I often send some personalized images and with MailerLite I need to use some other provider which offers that custom field. Also, their automation is not the best in the world. Few times some emails were sent when they souldnt be so I needed to apologise to my subscribers because folks at MailerLite screwed something up. I contacted their support and they didnt offer me nothing in return, just apologise.

Great for creating email newsletters and shareable pdf brochures

Mailerlite is a Godsent, I think the export to PDF has a lot of potential. There are over 12 million WhatsApp users in Kenya, most of our clients and prospects, are more willing to connect us via WhatsApp than by email. The PDF brochures has become one of our biggest marketing assets as we can keep them updated about our projects in a more social way. The fact that the brochures are more shareable is a big bonus. However, It'll be good to be able to track clicks, which currently can't be done as it's stored as a draft in MailerLite. I know Mailerlite is an email marketing software but I'd love to be able to monitor the performance of newsletters turned into brochures the same way I can monitor sent campaigns. Even if it's something as simple as having a dashboard for draft campaigns and using Google Analytics to track clicks on it.

Pros

- I used Mailerlite to create email newsletters (Which any email marketing software can do) but most importantly I used Mialerlite to create sharable pdf brochures showcasing our past/current projects (My client was an Architecture company). These "brochures" are light size wise as the target platform was Whatsapp.
The images are clickable linking to the projects on our websites, this way when sent to clients/potential clients on WhatsApp they can know more about us without having to go to our website.

- Design Options: I've used MailChimp, Active Campaign, Moosend and pretty much any Email marketing software you can think off, but in terms of design flexibility and templates, Mailerlite has the best design options. My favorite is the "Featured Image" block

- Great Customer Support: Mailerlite is meant for creating email newsletters and not pdf brochures so it was a bit tricky working around that especially since the share to social media button wouldn't work since the newsletter I converted into a brochure wasn't technically an email campaign (I.e it wasn't sent to anyone/mailing list) but remained in my dashboard as a draft. I had a chat with them on how to arrange the elements so my brochure was 3 pages max, and how to reduce the size.

Cons

- My emails kept going to the spam folder which was very bothersome, so I contacted support and I was told I'm not the only one having the same problem and that it's an issue they're working on as they were blacklisted (Or something like that)

-As much as I love the featured image element, it renders differently on Outlook desktop app. Instead of appearing as one large image, the images appeared as a grid, with nine images of the same image taking the space instead of one large image. It was a bit disconcerting and there was no way around it.

Basics are straightforward, Advanced functions require more effort

Pros

The drag & drop builder makes it easy to design templates & campaigns that fit your brand and look polished. There's much less setup than required by some of their competitors. I've used a few different email marketing systems and have found MailerLite to be one of the easiest to understand & maneuver.

Cons

Creating automations, segmenting groups of subscribers, etc is not intuitive.

Friendly Outside, Harmful Inside

This company has not characteristics of an International company. Don't put your eggs on their basket. Avoid mailerlite!

Pros

When you start everything is friendly and welcoming, but anticipate unpredictable and contrary to agreement behaviour.

Cons

After two years of working as a loyal client and putting all of my company eggs in mailerlite basket, exactly after a week I paid them for the third year subscription, they shocked me with stopping my account. No description, No evidence!
I had developed all of my company email marketing solutions on mailerlite. My lists, contents, forms, graphics, staff training and much more had established based on them. The reason was clear, they have good interface and reasonable price.
But one day I noticed that they have closed my account while I had renewed my account a week before for one year. No reason, No refund!
I contacted their support and asked them for the reason many times. No reason except manager decision! I continued contacting with support, but after all they closed the doors of online chat to me, the only way of connecting them.
I tried to find their headquarters and discuss them the situation, again no address or contacting way to headquarters.
After more than one month, I am yet confused with their behaviour.
Thanks Capterra, I noticed that there are many people with same experience. And again thanks Capterra, after all I could satisfy myself with putting a review here and elsewhere in the world! I never forgive this company for its non-professional behaviour and will continue preventing people using mailerlite service wherever and whenever I can. Avoid mailerlite! One day they will ruin your developments and grab your money!

Quality Email marketing solution for a great price

Pros

Mailerlite is continuously updating, and it offers full-fledged automation for a fraction of the costs of comparable newsletter software. The interface is intuitive. Both the landing pages and forms are well designed and customizable. It integrates well with Woocommerce

Cons

It doesn't integrate with the better form builders like Gravity Forms and Formidable.

Rip-off merchants

They took my money then refused to send my campaign. Their 'Support Team' is a fairy-tail. It doesn't exist. Wasted hours importing lists and drafting campaigns only to be told that approval to send them was denied. Glad i only paid for a month. I'm not giving up on the fight for a refund though

Pros

the myth. good reviews, user-friendly interface, it all looks good at a glance

Cons

Pros

MailerLite is an awesome alternative to other autoresponders out there, it has great value for a fair price and the functionalities are awesome !

Cons

Easy to use email marketing platform

Pros

Using mailerlite have made creating emails and landing page easy for me. I love the drag and drop and already made templates in Mailerlite. You get to choose a ready-made template depending on your call to action.

Cons

Approving your account might take long and the customer service reach is not user-friendly. If you are on the free version and you didn't use the platform for a long time they will take away your approval.

You get what you pay for!

Pros

Honestly there’s nothing I like about this platform. I originally looked into working with them because I liked that they offer landing pages, but don’t let the price blind you – you get what you pay for here. The price isn’t worth the time and that their customer service is awful. Go with a CRM/ESP that provides great service and isn’t glitchy, even if it costs a bit more!

Cons

Their customer support is a joke. They only seem to return emails in the middle of the night which then leads to yet another FULL day of unsolved problems. Mind you I live in the middle of the US so it’s not like I’m in a wonky time zone. Then THEY failed to check my fully working site and claimed it’s “inadequate” (it’s a entrepreneurial blog with multiple posts and pages) so they put me on probation and limited me to 500 subscribers, while aware I have 4k+ I’m trying to migrate from a different CRM. It was a total circus and their incompetency just blows my mind.
