I like when I train anyone on the system, they immediately get it. The hiring system is really easy to use as well. We usually get some good candidates from the postings. There are also many ways to communicate through Bamboo which makes it easy for HR to get messages out to the company. #### Cons I know that they are recently making some changes, but I do not like how it is not as customizable friendly as I would hope. For instance. We wanted to change our performance review dates, but the system does not allow that. It only goes by hire date. We were using spreadsheets and a messy Google Drive folder before, and in around two weeks everyone had their profile set up and was actually using the system. The interface doesn't look like a typical enterprise software, which is important because some of our employees only log in two or three times in a year. Time-off requests work very well. Employee submits, manager gets a notification, and that's it. No more chasing people on Slack to ask if they saw the email. Mobile app is also useful for this, since some of our team are not sitting at a desk all day. #### Cons Price is the main issue for me. They charge per employee per month, and it gets expensive quickly, especially when you start adding Payroll and Performance as separate modules. It feels like every feature I really needed was behind another paywall. For a small business, you should really calculate if the total cost makes sense compared to using few cheaper tools separately. Payroll itself is okay but not amazing. We had some problems with tax filings in the first quarter and reaching support on the phone took longer than expected.
