Because our programming is therapeutic in nature, but designed to be implemented by non-clinical staff, it is imperative that we test each staff candidate for emotional intelligence and cognitive abilities in addition to job-specific skills like Microsoft Office. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up our account and get started with testing. When I had questions about which tests we should use for the roles we were hiring for, my account rep was knowledgeable and helpful. The post test reporting surfaced insights that absolutely helped us narrow down the candidate pool, so we didn't waste time and money interviewing the wrong people. So far, the money invested in using EmployTest, has saved us thousands. It makes it much easier for candidates to access this product from where they are. Testing has become much easier on our end thanks to employ test. Lastly, we are fans of the instant test results that are sent via email, this has helped us become more fair and consistent across the board. #### Cons The least favorite thing about this software is that fact that sometimes it takes candidates a while to catch on how to navigate the simulation system. Also, the system will give candidates and incorrect answer mark if they attempt to complete the task via a "shortcut" in the software. I also like how comprehensive the assessment reports are. #### Cons I have had candidates reach out to me who have had issues with the Word-Excel-Outlook 2016 test. The platform does not accept shortcuts, so it is common that candidates do not know the formal process of a function in Excel and miss points on the question because of it. #### Vendor response We appreciate your comments, Kalyssa and thanks to you and the Aria team for using EmployTest for almost 5 years now. The system does accept most shortcuts, especially the common ones, but it is a simulation of the program (not the actual program). Simulations provide the best overall experience without the test taker needing MS Office installed on their computer, but there a few limitations here and there. The assessments help me to identify candidates who meet the qualifications. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros The variety of assessments is very important because the types of positions I recruit for is varied. #### Cons The function of sending out the assessment letter to candidates is confusing. I think the letter itself needs to be cleaned up. #### Reasons for choosing EmployTest On doing research, the assessments from Employtest appeared to cover a braod variety. Love the broad scope of testing available from behavioral to skills. #### Cons As a prior user I used to dislike not having access to all tests and that has since changed which is wonderful. #### Vendor response Hey Rhonda, thanks for bringing us to the new company where you now work!
