A good service overall
It's been good overall, but I wish they would fix a few things with execupay.
PROSThis is a pretty good product, super user friendly and you don't need too much support usually. The team was good about setting it up with relatively few hiccups.
CONSThe payroll they sync with (execupay) does things relatively last minute which is pretty frustrating. We received and had to mail the 1099's on the same day, they didn't send it to the IRS on our behalf, etc... They also do not understand how to set up individual HSA's which is super weird.
Reasons for switching to GoCo
Benefitmall payroll was the absolute worst payroll out there.

Disappointing. Should have stuck with Zenefits.
I'm optimistic that Goco will continue adding improvements and additional staff until their product is as strong as Zenefits. I'd just hold off signing up until that happens.
PROSGoco promised a lot - everything Zenefits offered (since it was founded by former staff of theirs) - plus MORE! Unfortunately, in my opinion they haven't delivered. The pros are that this is basically a free software if you don't add any bells and whistles, and it is WAYbetter than managing an HR system on paper or with spreadsheets. The onboarding process is great on the new employee side. The staff have welcomed my feedback when I give it, which I appreciate.
CONSAs soon as we switched to Goco, we entered a nightmare. We were charged for things the sales rep said we wouldn't be (the company executives sent a very nice apology about that misunderstanding), the functionality did not live up to its promises and has lots of annoying little UI issues, and it is like pulling teeth to get a response from my account rep (I received a separate apology directly from the exec about that). From my perspective, Goco is suffering new-startup syndrome where they overloaded their staff and make promises they can't possibly deliver. I do believe that my Customer Service rep and all the staff are genuinely trying their best and that the company has simply bitten off more than they can chew.

GoCo Does Everything You Need Easily
Overall it's by bar the best program and service of its type!
PROSIt's extremely easy to handle every I need to accomplish in terms of tracking and managing my employees. Everything from payroll, to time off, and really ant facet of employment can be easily accessed and quickly handled
CONSThere isn't anything! I have not had any kind of issues in all the years I've used it. Their customer service is fantastic if I ever have questions or need help.

Good Tool, Great People
We started using GoCo when we joined OneDigital. It's been a great partnership for us. I appreciate that GoCo includes support and not just a platform.
PROSGoCo is a light weight HRIS platform that has a nice set of features that are perfect for our size of company (less than 35.) Benefits and open enrollment are much easier than the previous paper approach. And Goco sends the reminders, not us! Same thing with time off management and approvals. 95% of staff use it consistently and appropriately. Onboarding new hires is much easier when they can review material and benefits prior to day one. Best of all, though, are the people. Responsive and pleasant.
CONSI'd like to see more change control features that include explanations for why we are making a change. Did I change vacation because--someone made a mistake or because we gave someone a vacation day for performance reasons?

GoCo
Goco has made my life so much easier! It streamlined my onboarding and time off process.
CONSThere's not a lot I don't like. I had a bumpy intro with payroll but I was in the beta program. I feel like they take feedback well and are constantly making adjustments!

Mostly great. The app itself and its functions are very helpful and convenient.
PROSEase of functions. Very convenient for a company that employees work on multiple locations.
CONSI have an android phone and the app seems to crash often. Apple users do not seem to have the same issues. I have to uninstall and reinstall.

Streamlined and Efficient
Go Co has an intutive and user-friendly platform. It is easy for administrators and for employees to track their time and benefits.
CONSGoCo is not as agile with changes to the program. We could use a two-part approval process for time track and that is not available at this time.

Great product
We had a good experience implementing the product and continue to enjoy using it for our staff. It gives them access to their files.
PROSOnboarding is much easier. New hires complete offer letter and all new hire paperwork. They also have access to all our benefits management. It makes open enrollment simple.

User Friendly
During Covid, GoCo really made it easy to send needed documents to staff quickly.
PROSI like that GoCo doesn't require too much explanation to new staff because it's so user friendly.
CONSI would like to be able to pull more specific reports, such as only February birthdays or anniversaries. As opposed to pulling all birthdays & anniversaries.

Great Product
GoCo has been a great addition to our HR department. It does a nice job of holding employee information, payroll, benefits, employee handbook and notes can be entered, as well. Customer Service is very helpful. I also receive emails when an employee has made a change to their account, from address to bank information.
CONSSometimes, GoCo gives me emails for changes to be made and are not correct. I then need to double check if the information is legit or not.

Easy to navigate and wonderful customer service
I found it easy to use since day one. Our employees also find GoCo to be very user friendly. They also have wonderful customer service. They respond quickly and area always helpful.

CONSI cannot think of anything at this time. I know they have features we do not use, but I am happy with the features we do use.

Great paperless hiring for small business - FREE
First, this software is completely free! I was amazed because it is a great product for nothing. They are open that they'd like to set you up with their benefits provider. They did call once, but it was no pressure and they were quick . You can start a hire from start to finish here and it sends them an email letting them know they need to fill out paperwork online. It really streamlines my process. Employees can also update their direct deposit and request vacation days here. It has a very modern look and feel and customer service is AWESOME. They get back to you so quickly. Great product that syncs with Slack, PayChecks, ADP and Outlook calendar.
CONSI am waiting for more functionality. I'd like to be able to retroactively add current employees with ease. Currently, I'd have to enter them individually. But the software is free and streamlined my onboarding so I'm happy.

Great HRIS System
Great! I really enjoyed working with the team. They were all very helpful.
PROSI loved that it was very customizable and the implementation specialist were very knowledgeable about all aspects of the software.
CONSThe time tracking data didn't work well for our company. We are a union contractor and unfortunately needed a more detailed system.

Broker Use
There are some issues that create a ripple effect for my client which is very unfortunate. I do like the platform and the service is nice to speak to someone, but the issues just keep popping up.

CONSThere seem to be, with my client and i, a lot of back and forth on correcting items after implementation.The same issues seem to arise and we are unsure where the disconnect is.

Great HR and On boarding Solution
Very easy to use. Great way to manage our on boarding, PTO and HR needs.
CONSDisappointed that GoCo has gone to up-charging for functionality when they swore they wouldn't do that like Zenefits did in the sales cycle.

Useful platform for PTO/Vacation and benefits management
GoCo has simplified and improved HR-related team management. The interface is clean and easy to use. Overall, it's a great tool. I'd be interested in trying more of its features if my organization decides to adopt them.
PROSAs a team lead in my organization, GoCo helps me easily manage my team's PTO/Vacation time in a well-designed interface. I also enjoy having my benefits in one central location on GoCo.
CONSThere are not necessarily any features that I dislike about GoCo, although I don't think my organization is using all of the features such as the time tracking. There are a number of menus on GoCo that I simply don't use, and thus they end up being clutter.

All-in-One HR Platform
GoCo is a user-friendly HR system that allows employees and employers to connect real-time easily.
PROSI like how uncomplicated it is to plot time-off requests and how easy the managers can approve them.
