It was nice to have workflows and notes to track candidates through the interview process for quick updates to leadership team. The integration and value for connecting with our HR System in Paylocity was crucial for us to have. #### Cons I wish it had onboarding integrations with Paylocity, this would increase process automation for us to a necessary level with our company's size and volume of onboarding. #### Reasons for choosing ClearCo Was more cost beneficial to go with ClearCo and had better developed dashboards and ATS then Paylocity offered at the time. #### Reasons for switching to ClearCo ClearCo provided a much better ATS system and dashboard navigation for ease of use to our recruiting team. I love ClearCompany so much because it truly has everything I need in an easy to use system. AND just when I think it couldn't be better they come up with new enhancements! Various ways to access information and sort information to see what you need. The Clear Company team is extremely responsive to providing help but also listening to suggestions for future improvements. Their support is top notch - from online training videos, to online chat and a customer success manager who not only cares but follows up (and not like other companies who will reach out when they want to sell me a new feature). I also attended their 2017 Talent Conference in Boston, which was really a great learning opportunity as well as to connect with my #### Cons I would not say there are any cons, but we live in a time where instant gratification has become the norm and expectation. There have been times when I have waited 30 - 60 min for a response to my online chat request. There are new reports I would like to have, but I know their reporting function just went under an overhaul and I am working on moving to the new platform soon, so I am excited to see what the new reporting capabilities are. The only other improvement I could suggest right now is to make this highly capable software to be better suited for a global company. When we had several users working in shared excel files, it was very difficult to keep everyone using the same formula or version of a file. In addition to managing employee vesting, ClearCo manages the 409A valuations and compliance documentation so that leadership does not bother me about those things. At least the dashboard seems to show us all our grant information and vesting schedules correctly and did not blow up. I also got a nice response when I called [sensitive content hidden] from the on-boarding group to fix some set-up issues. All of my excel spreadsheets are gone. It gives good security and makes team collaboration easier. #### Cons On the main page where they display the company's stock price they only show it as a two digit number after the decimal. However we need to see this value out to four digits. Therefore I currently can not see the actual value of our shares. They took away personal contact support by changing their support to a generic email box. When creating internal management info system (MIS) reports, they are inflexible. Even though there is a report generator built into ClearCo, if you want your audit reports formatted in a particular way, you will still have to dump everything back into an Excel spreadsheet. I do not have to call HR to ask them to send me my previous pay stubs because they are already available in my account. In addition, I hate the monthly security code that you need to enter into your account. It is very repetitive for something that doesn't seem to serve a purpose. It was easy to learn, and it's easy to make minor changes to templates and forms when needed. We have a dedicated account manager whom we can contact when we have to escalate issues, and they also have an online chat feature with customer service. #### Cons Sometimes the reporting is not consistent with results after you run a query, and the applications sometimes get submitted in different formats based on the method the applicant uses to apply. No incentive was offered From the Onboarding/Recruiting prospective, CC has been wonderful. We would have never been able to do what we do with the old system we had. We were able to have the onboarding and recruiting staff work remotely with ease. In fact, we have been able to keep the staff in remote work situations past the worst of Covid and have found our productivity has increased. #### Cons It would be nice to sort all of the requisitions by title. It would be nice if the career site could be posted by location then the candidate could click a city/county and be able to narrow down those positions. Recruiting and keeping track of candidates has made my life so much easier when before I would have to log everything on a spreadsheet. I find the benefits of onboarding is great. again everything is one location, accounting gets a completed packet with nothing missing prior to their first day. Also creating a checklist of items that need to be completed internally for each new hire helps not to miss anything. That I can upload files like Caliper tests, emails and additional info to a candidates profile and the same for employees. Like union cards, intern confirmation letters to name a couple. #### Cons So I don't like that I don't have an overview in the dashboard of what internal packet items have not been completed. The employee name and percentage is listed on my dashboard but it would be great if I was able to see what has not been completed and by who. I feel I would be able to stay on top of it more. Right now the only way for me to see what is not completed is to go into each employees internal packet to see who owes what. Due to the pandemic I had to schedule a lot of virtual meetings through Microsoft teams since ClearCompany does not offer that option. So being that you already sync with outlook I don't understand why microsoft teams is not available through ClearCo. No incentive was offered I have found the ClearCompany recruiting and onboarding modules very helpful and easy to use. Coming from our previous manual system, they have saved me a great deal of time. The best thing about ClearCompany, though, is their excellent customer service. When I need help, I can call and get real help from someone who actually works there, usually my account manager, not someone in a call center somewhere reading from a script. They are always very quick to address whatever concern I have. We are an energy company with over 200 employees in several states. I'd like to see an integrated, easy way to sort applicants on our side. We get a huge number of applicants seeking all sorts of jobs we aren't advertising. We have two "General Consideration" requisitions set up to keep people from applying inappropriately for jobs that require special qualifications. I have not found the Talent Pool feature to be useful in sorting these candidates, so I set up many unposted requisitions that I forward those candidates into, based on what type of job they may be considered for in the future. This clogs up our requisition list, and takes extra time. It would be nice to have an assortment of buckets for these applicants that is seperate from the live requisitions, and with some automation as in the talent pool feature. For instance, they could be automatically sorted based on an answer to a screening question. 2. Also, it can take a while to get new forms built, or old ones changed. Sometimes they fix one piece on a form, and something else stops working. I would like for them to test the forms thoroughly to make sure they work before giving them to us. The overall experience was positive. When needed we pulled in the president to get things resolved in time for our implementation. Running our salary planning for the first time this year went surprisingly smoothly, thanks to the partnership in implementation. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros We looked at several systems to meet our global compensation planning needs and we felt TalentComp was the best fit. Not only does it accommodate salary planning in 12 countries, it is intuitive and allows managers to export their information to do their modeling offline and import it back into TalentComp, something they could not do with our prior system. Also, they can pull the comp statements at any time. #### Cons We had a lot of back and forth during set up with many things that should have been addressed up front. We also had to rework the comp statement several times with the implementation team to get it into the format we wanted because we could not modify it ourselves. #### Reasons for choosing ClearCo TalentComp met all of our requirements, is very intuitive and cost-effective. #### Reasons for switching to ClearCo Halogen is a bit clunky for compensation planning, not as intuitive as TalentComp. No incentive was offered So far we have really enjoyed our move to Clear Company. The implementation team have been so very helpful in getting us up and running very quickly. We have weekly calls to make sure things are moving along the way they should, and I feel like I always have support if I need any help. The whole applicant tracking module is very customizable, so all of our needs were able to be met without a problem. We are currently beginning implementation of the onboarding module, and the performance management module will be last. So far, we really like the applicant tracking module. Hiring managers have told me they find it easy to use, very intuitive and easy to figure out. I especially like the interview invitation piece, because it integrates with my Outlook calendar and the entire process is automated. No longer do I have to spend hours on the phone trying to schedule candidates for interviews... this system practically does it for me. I also really like the Scorecard feature, where I can route Scorecards with each application to the entire hiring team and have them review and score each candidate on their own. I can then review all of their notes and it helps me narrow down my search very quickly. So far I'm really enjoying the time savings that Clear Company has given me. #### Cons So far, there's really nothing I don't like about it. Again, we've only fully implemented one module, and have only been using it for a couple of weeks. But so far I really like everything about it. If I had to identify one con, it would be that there is an additional cost to add more than three customized forms in the onboarding module. Team was great to work with and VERY responsive to all our calls, questions and needs. There were bumps, yes, but that was to be expected. We did a deep dive into the issues right after we closed the process and were able to address all the issues in the next year's cycle. I would recommend for any company based on my experience. #### Cons The one thing that users have not liked is that the scrolling ability is slow. Executives don't like it for roll up purposes so we as an HR team have had to export to spreadsheets and track the changes made by executives and update the system. Still so much better than when we were functioning in spreadsheets only with 60+ managers and having to consolidate, etc. #### Reasons for choosing ClearCo We looked at several other options (don't recall what they were now) and TalentComp was more flexible in it's system and the team was much more approachable and could show us how it would look for us with 3 components to manage (merit, bonus and stock options). We do not have performance ratings so we do not use that feature and we turn it off and on each year for our comp planning cycle in early December.
