ClearCo Great ATS for Paylocity

Overall, ClearCo has been great to work with over the course of a few years, with the customer support we had for implementation and integration to join forces with Paylocity a key factor for why we continued to use it.

I really liked the ease of navigation in using the ClearCo Dashboard, helped all of us that had access in our Recruiting and HR team to at a glance see candiate process across all posted roles. It was nice to have workflows and notes to track candidates through the interview process for quick updates to leadership team. The integration and value for connecting with our HR System in Paylocity was crucial for us to have.

Cons:

I wish it had onboarding integrations with Paylocity, this would increase process automation for us to a necessary level with our company's size and volume of onboarding.

Reasons for choosing ClearCo

Was more cost beneficial to go with ClearCo and had better developed dashboards and ATS then Paylocity offered at the time.

Reasons for switching to ClearCo

ClearCo provided a much better ATS system and dashboard navigation for ease of use to our recruiting team. We loved the candidate process and job postings, which really helped us improve our workflows not only internally but also more timely with candidates.

Most intuitive and functional applicant tracking software yet!

I have used other applicant tracking software solutions before but they were often cumbersome to use or never had quite the right functionality that I wanted. I love ClearCompany so much because it truly has everything I need in an easy to use system. AND just when I think it couldn't be better they come up with new enhancements! I have, and will continue to recommend ClearCompany ATS to anyone who has recruiting responsibilities, especially if they are a government contractor!

Very intuitive and user friendly to use. Various ways to access information and sort information to see what you need. The Clear Company team is extremely responsive to providing help but also listening to suggestions for future improvements. Their support is top notch - from online training videos, to online chat and a customer success manager who not only cares but follows up (and not like other companies who will reach out when they want to sell me a new feature). I also attended their 2017 Talent Conference in Boston, which was really a great learning opportunity as well as to connect with my

I would not say there are any cons, but we live in a time where instant gratification has become the norm and expectation. There have been times when I have waited 30 - 60 min for a response to my online chat request. There are new reports I would like to have, but I know their reporting function just went under an overhaul and I am working on moving to the new platform soon, so I am excited to see what the new reporting capabilities are. The only other improvement I could suggest right now is to make this highly capable software to be better suited for a global company. We have business in India and ClearCompany has helped us to utilize their system for our recruiter in India, but there is still opportunity to improve the system for a company doing business overseas.

We were lucky that ClearCo did not mess with the way we track employee ownership

When we had several users working in shared excel files, it was very difficult to keep everyone using the same formula or version of a file. In addition to managing employee vesting, ClearCo manages the 409A valuations and compliance documentation so that leadership does not bother me about those things. The fact that they included a "valuation slider" lets them at least get an idea of what their options are worth.

Pros:

To be honest I am quite surprised ClearCo did not fail. At least the dashboard seems to show us all our grant information and vesting schedules correctly and did not blow up. I also got a nice response when I called \[sensitive content hidden\] from the on-boarding group to fix some set-up issues. All of my excel spreadsheets are gone. It gives good security and makes team collaboration easier.

Cons:

On the main page where they display the company's stock price they only show it as a two digit number after the decimal. However we need to see this value out to four digits. Therefore I currently can not see the actual value of our shares. They took away personal contact support by changing their support to a generic email box. When creating internal management info system (MIS) reports, they are inflexible. Even though there is a report generator built into ClearCo, if you want your audit reports formatted in a particular way, you will still have to dump everything back into an Excel spreadsheet. This defeats the purpose of using ClearCo in the first place.

Cons:

Integration into HRIS system. Can be a little difficult to to setup integration and get started but once everything is setup it is a very smooth system.

Pros:

For a company our size, it has helped in not only automating approvals and over all managing our quarterly bonus and annual merit cycles. It allows us to bring in additional data points from other systems (ie, performance ratings). While we desire to have an all-in-one platform for our people needs, we are not in a place that we can do so and CWS has been a huge improvement to our manual processes as we continue to want to evolve our programs.

Cons:

The single sign-on continues to be an issue. Every cycle we have multiple people that get locked out of the platform.

Reasons for choosing ClearCo

We had a consultant that was familiar with the platform and spoke highly of it, the pricing was something we could afford and the implementation time was reasonable for us.

Reasons for switching to ClearCo

The tool had no functionality, it was intended to be an interim (1 yr) solve that extended beyond that. The customer support degraded too. The SSO wasn't working either.

ClearCompany works as it should

I now have the ability to view the calendar and know who will be out before I plan my own vacation. I do not have to call HR to ask them to send me my previous pay stubs because they are already available in my account. It allows me to complete my performance review without opening up 5 different apps.

Here I sit with a now cold cup of coffee and found out that this time the Google login really did work without resetting my password. Not a bad idea having everything about me (salary & docs) in one place.

Cons:

I am able to locate my tax documents (W-2), which is nearly impossible to do in ClearCompany and I normally spend 20 minutes searching every year for this document. In addition, I hate the monthly security code that you need to enter into your account. It is very repetitive for something that doesn't seem to serve a purpose. My "Stuff" tab has been blank the entire time I used Clear Company and it appears to be broken.

Pros:

ClearCompany is the best ATS I have seen. It does what we need it to do, is reliable, and provides a great platform for different team members to collaborate and productively add new employees to the company.

Cons:

Sometimes the integration we have between ClearCompany and our HRIS misbehaves, and we have to call it in for support. Because these are two different organizations, sometimes there is a little tail chasing, where one company says the problem resides with the other, and we get advised to troubleshoot with the other party. Eventually the problems always get solved, wherever they lie, but sometimes support is a little eager to delegate away when in reality they could help us if they took the time.
