It was better that what we were using but I know better products have to exist. Cons: The reporting features are inadequate. Apparently it cannot run on a fiscal year, which is problematic for accruing leave balances in a school environment. Excellent service, but it would be easier to get the same service representative for my account each time. The same rep is more familiar with the way we use TCP and saves me time and explanation with a different rep every time. I realize that that rep may not be available every time, but with most of my issues I can wait until that rep is available or it is ok to use a different rep when my normal rep is not available if I need immediate assistance, I found that all the reps are knowledgeable and good. You should consider assigning a "main" rep for each account and then a couple back up reps or just a random backup rep. It's relatively user friendly. The support team is responsive. However, they are very limited in what they can do. (They do not have access to your system) so when a fix is needed, they can provide direction, but you have to do it yourself. There are MANY times when the system goes down for maintenance from 9:00 pm - 1:00 am CST (at least one per month, but generally more, so it is not practical for business that have employees who work overnight hours. The geofence used to prevent employees from clocking in or out from outside of the work site is effective. Cons: Out implementation manager was grossly incompetent. The errors he made caused out rollout to be a disaster that it took us months to recover from. To date, TCP has not done anything to make us whole after this disaster other than apologize for all the errors that were made. It would have been appropriate for them to provide us a refund of all implementation fees and reimburse the cost of the first six months of service, but this was never even discussed as a possibility. Reasons for switching to TimeClock Plus AptaTime was not reliable. The app didn't work. TCP was recommended to us by another similar organization. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 4 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: The TimeClock Plus hardware is built exactly has it should be. Easy to use, easy to implement, ties into our existing badge system, and is fast. The best feature is the ability to mass remote controll, update, patch, and make configuration changes of all the clocks at one time. The web interface's ability to manage them is perfect as well. Cons: The only downside is some additional work our finance department is doing to get the data into our SIS/BIS. But this could be an issue with the department as there may be easier solutions for the integration. Reasons for choosing TimeClock Plus Cloud based, easy to use, could be integrated into existing badge system and it is well known in the K-12 space. The ease of use, the quick customer service, the ability to upload to the system mass data instead of manual entry saves us time, money and less stress. We really enjoy this system! It's simple to understand yet complex enough to handle our very intricate needs for our large employee groups. Customer service is top notch and they are very quick to answer questions and help with issues that arise. I would highly recommend this system to anyone who is contemplating switching their clock system. It is the best I've seen and I love using it. Cons: I wish that when upgrades happened to the system, there was better communication on what changes will be made. A lot of times the updates that occur mess with our custom system set up and cause issues how we run things without us knowing why it happened. Last, when we set up the system in our price, we were promised training videos for us to use with training our staff. What we got was a live recorded video from Teams that was unedited and not well put together. We ended up creating our own manual for the system for our staff as well as more professional videos ourselves. Felt that was not a good value for what we received in the price. Reasons for switching to TimeClock Plus They were going to force us to the cloud and charge us double the price, no longer support their system base. The system provides the tools we needed to combine with our HCM product. It feeds accurate time entry data with the flexibility of rounding time per location. While not the perfect product, it does a very good job of meeting our needs with minimal management overhead required. Working with the implementation team we worked through issues in a cohesive manner and resolved problems while we were able to learn how the TCP systems worked. They were with us at go-live providing support as needed. I was very pleased at how smooth implementation ran. The day to day support team is excellent, answering questions in depth and ensuring we understand the answers. The clock is easy to use, both the physical and virtual and the different time entry types are flexible to support our different location requirements. When our company researched the recommended products TCP was middle of the road in cost for product. Considering the actual end product I am satisfied we are getting good value. Cons: The reporting within TCP can use some enhancement. Although the preconfigured reports are valuable it does not provide all the data we would like to produce.
