Great ATS and More!

I've enjoyed working in the product, and the team has been nothing but helpful and responsive since Day 1. I would definitely recommend Loxo to anyone looking for a combination of intuitive ATS features and sourcing capabilities within one single platform.

PROS

I found the ATS functionality to be very intuitive and robust. It's very easy to source candidates in Loxo or add them manually into the platform, and then assign them to a particular job. With the ease of tracking candidates' activity, logging call or email notes, and moving them throughout the pipeline, Loxo does a great job of making the recruiting process more efficient. This is definitely appreciated, especially at a reasonable budget for a small team like ours!

CONS

Although not a major complaint, I sometimes found the sourcing function to be less than adequate, given missing profile information for candidates. That said, they recently completed a major update and the databases should be more accurate and up-to-date now, for more reliable sourcing.

Modern, Efficient, and Easy to Use. Loxo is TOP NOTCH Recruiting Software!

A+ from Customer Service to the functionality of the software. It does everything as described and then some! The migration of data went much smoother than I anticipated. I was nervous we would lose notes, activities, contact information, resumes etc. Everything has gone perfect and the learning curve with our 35+ associates was much smaller than I expected and planned for.

PROS

Managing the pipeline and stages is easy to use and organized. It is at least 3x faster than our previous CRM / ATS. Searching for candidates within your database has never been easier.

CONS

Nothing much at this time. It would be nice is 3rd party phone / VOIP services could be integrated so our calls / texts are logged automatically. However, it sounds like Loxo will be upgrading their internal phone system in the near future.

Reason for choosing Loxo

Loxo seemed to check all of the boxes. The Loxo Outreach email campaign is easy to use and allows us to spend more time speaking with candidates. It is modern, aesthetically pleasing, and seems to be ahead of the competition in terms of service offering and consistently bring more value.

Reasons for switching to Loxo

We were looking for something that was more modern and could improve efficiencies. The Loxo software has a beautiful way of creating reports that can be prepared and sent to a client for search updates in a matter of 1-2 minutes. After 20 years with our previous CRM, it was time for us to upgrade and invest in our future.

Overpriced and Under-delivers

I've realized no benefits using this tool and my clients did not like the interface so didn't use it and it didn't provide any value to me in terms of data. It's basically a warehouse for my resumes for now until I migrate out. I'm disappointed in myself for picking Loxo and should have done more homework. After vetting several ATS systems I chose them and sorry I did. Learned my lesson. Going to buy out of my contract and switch.

their resume parsing technology isn't bad.

CONS

Not only is Loxo more expensive $119-198/month than other ATS out there. I thought I would get more robust functionality but it's hard to close a job and have it show up in reporting as closed and it doesn't track fees in the pipeline as promised. No Linkedin integration. Integration of my data from previous ATS took over 8 weeks instead of the 3 that was promised and once complete it was a mess. I spent about 8 hours cleaning it up. Come to find out a college student/intern was doing it. I was led to believe the Company was much bigger than it is. Less than 15 employees. I thought I was signing a month to month contract but found out after it was a year which I take ownership of -not reading fine print. I requested to get out of contract after 90 days post implementation and they refused. I asked again and they refused but gave me a 30% monthly discount but then turned off half the functionality unbeknownst to me because of the discount. Awful.

Reason for choosing Loxo

I thought I was getting a better client interface tool and the ability to integrate with Linkedin as well as text chat with candidates. I got none of that.

We invest an incredible amount of our resources and energy into fostering a world-class user experience, so when someone has a poor experience we do everything we can to understand why learn, and improve. While we understand you had a poor experience and your desire to share that, we wanted to make sure we pointed out any false information that could misdirect other customers. We do have reports for closed-won jobs and placement fees. Your data migration took 6 weeks which falls within our standard timeline. The migration was done by a professional data engineer. The contract states "Annual Contract Billed Month to Month," we do not have this hidden in the fine print and try to be as transparent as possible with our customers. Your poor experience is very rare for our team and we sincerely apologize. We hope you find a good partner moving forward.

Loxo - An Outstanding Solution for Recruiting Agencies

Our old ATS could barely automate communication. Candidates were slipping through the cracks and being left in the dark. They felt jaded about our service and did not want to work with us. We were also losing time due to a terrible and outdated UI. Loxo allowed us to automate 90% of our communication, and it was much easier to work with. This freed up our time to work on higher impact tasks.

PROS

The UI/UX is intuitive and clean. As a former software engineer, I felt very comfortable navigating the various features. It allowed me to self-learn without having to get support on the phone every day. The various customizations helped us a ton. It allowed us to tie automation to the job stage on a per-candidate basis. This helped us automate almost all of our communication which resulted in a tremendous candidate experience. No one got left in the dark, and we were able to employ a robust nurturing process as a result. We also utilized the google chrome extension a ton to bring in passive candidates to the system. We could then easily put those candidates on a drip campaign via Loxo Outreach. This handled our passive outreach almost exclusively. When we needed support, they were lightning fast. I cannot stress this enough - the Loxo customer support team is by far the best I have ever dealt with for a SaaS product. They were incredibly accommodating and prompt. There is a live chat feature where the team is always ready to go.

CONS

For our very specific use case and the future direction of our company, we needed to get more out of the API. We are rolling out a recruiting SaaS product, and the API was not robust enough for us.

Big fan of this product!

My experience has been great, and I have enjoyed working with their team on a regular basis. They are very accessible, friendly, and helpful, and have made it easy and enjoyable to get set up and continue working within the system.

PROS

The best part about the product is the customer support team. They are extremely accessible, very quick to respond, and always extremely helpful. This has been extremely helpful in the initial set up phase of the system as that is generally one of the hardest parts of getting used to any ATS/CRM, but the Loxo team has made this a much smoother, easier, and enjoyable transition. This is a very feature-rich application. From the built-in sourcing tool, to the all-in-one ATS/CRM, to the AI searching capabilities, along with texting, email, and even calling outreach capabilities this system has so many features that allow for teams of all sizes to take advantage. I also really like the UI and the way the system is setup. Although there are so many features, they do a great job of keeping it simple and user-friendly. I have used other ATS systems and reviewed or demoed several others, and Loxo is by far my favorite.

CONS

The only con I can think of the results on the AI search results aren't always returned within the same search parameters, but that depends on how remote the location is.

I ultimately chose Loxo because of the features that were offered including the all-in-one ATS/CRM, and also the UI and simplicity of use, which is a huge factor for me.

Reasons for switching to Loxo

RecruitBPM is a solid product, with a lot of features, and is very budget friendly. The learning curve on getting set up with all of the features within the system is where I struggled, which is one of the biggest reasons why I made the switch.

Best in Class

I run an in-house talent acquisition company. None of the in-house ATS's wanted anything to do with us so our options were limited to "agency" ATS's. Loxo's ease of use, data enrichment features and modern interface are far ahead of the others in this category. HireScale aims to blur the lines, and Loxo is a great tool that's helping us reach our goals.

PROS

Loxo is easily the best agency based ATS on the market. For my business, I find the data enrichment features extremely useful. Whether I'm using it to track customer data or for the candidates, it seamlessly syncs with my email and offers quick ways to log, tag, track, send bulk email, customize templates and launch reqs. The feedback I get from candidates is always pleasant. It's easy for them to apply and no barriers for entry so our conversions rates are outstanding. I also like that they're continually launching helpful improvements and new features. Finally, the staff is responsive and genuinely cares about the customer. Compared to other products I've used, it's best in class by far. Loxo is simple, reliable, clean and always improving--what more could you want out of an agency-side ATS?

CONS

I would like to see more co-branding features, but this is pretty specific to our business model and Loxo is one of the only platforms I've found who offers any co-branding features so we're able to make it work.

We looked at SmartRecruiters and a few others. They seemed to enterprise like for my style, and required a lot of manual entry, data management, etc. After having a poor experience with Bullhorn, I relied on my referral (a highly reputable source). He was right. The ease of use and data enrichment features makes tracking a breeze so I don't have to spend a huge amount of time on required fields, managing the data, sorting, filtering, etc...

Bullhorn was buggy and we got a referral from a credible source--they were right on target and I highly recommend Loxo now too.

Amazing ATS

I had an outstanding experience with Loxo and I am excited to use them again when the time comes - I recently joined a dream company as an internal resource so that is the sole reason I am no longer going to be using them, otherwise I would intend to use this platform as opposed to the other ATS/CRM systems out there. Great price and does more than many others that I have used before.

PROS

I really enjoyed how user friendly this platform was in terms of integrating data from LinkedIn as well as moving through the different steps of the hiring/interview process. It was very easy to find candidates and input notes on every conversation. I will use this platform again when the time comes that I have my own business and I've actually already recommended it to various recruiting firms.

CONS

I think the platform was amazing overall but of course there could always be improvements, perhaps the AI sourcing tool could include whether candidates are on active or passive but this would be difficult to make happen as most the data is coming from sources like LinkedIn regarding the skillsets.

It seemed better for my business needs and the AI tool was very interesting to me. It also allows me to reveal the numbers and emails of candidates from the extracted data via sites like DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo which was nice. It was also extremely user friendly.

Loxo saved us from Bullhorn... finally

The support team is US-based and responds either immediately or very soon. It's not like Bullhorn where you have to create a ticket and wait... They're on it and will do whatever they have to do to make things work. The support is probably the best of any company I deal with personally and professionally.

PROS

The product just makes sense for what we do as recruiters. Adding candidates and clients from LinkedIn using Loxo's Chrome extension is quick and seamless. Creating jobs, adding candidates to those jobs, and visually seeing where they are in the process via Loxo's candidate pipeline is amazing. Unlike Bullhorn, when you search in Loxo, you can be confident those candidates or clients will show up in the results. It's a night and day difference and in a different league.

CONS

That we used Bullhorn for so long before making the switch.

Reasons for switching to Loxo

Bullhorn was unreliable, overpriced, clunky and endlessly frustrating. Their "updates" to the interface were consistently terrible. Just an awful experience overall.

Sales and Recruiting

PROS

This software brings together the Sales and Recruiting with strategic reports that enable us to move the staffing business forward. We use it for our prospecting of new and existing clients, operational contact management, and obviously sourcing candidates for recruiting in a tight labor market that Colorado has currently. Shortens the sale cycle, helps us drive out non value, and increase our market share.

CONS

We didn't realize all of the benefits of a coordinated effort between Sales and Recruiting functionality. We where under utilizing this software to define the passive market from both a sales and recruiting perspective. They are a growth company and need to tout the synergy between sales funnels and recruiting funnels.

It does it all

It has been great. I get multiple emails each day from other companies offering me products and services that seem great. But I can always respond, "My ATS already does that at no additional cost."

PROS

Loxo is one of the most affordable ATS that I've run across. It does everything that our previous systems did and so much more. Also, it is cleaner, faster, and easier to use. Customer Service is always available. They are always rolling out new features.

CONS

I wish it was easier to bulk select candidates from a list of over 25 people.

Great software/Stellar support

Every one of my people is in Loxo hour by hour, minute by minute. We use it to track our core business, which is recruiting. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] called me a few years ago and we made the switch. We're thrilled that we did.

PROS

We chose Loxo because it looks and works great. We try to attract innovators and previous products felt like they were designed in the 90s. Loxo is contemporary, thoughtful, and highly useable. We also think the world of their support staff. They always go above and beyond every day!

CONS

The CRM (meaning biz dev tracking) functions are not very robust. I know they weren't designed first as a CRM and they've nailed the ATS piece, but would love for a more usable CRM.

Reason for choosing Loxo

Loxo was the best and easiest product that we tested. We looked at every option that can be used by a 3rd party recruiting firm like ours. I don't want to say who we switched from or who else we considered because I don't want to trash anyone. Also, I haven't looked at other options since we made the move, so those other products could be very different. BUT, know that we looked at everything with a very critical eye and Loxo outshone them all.

Great Product

It's a great candidate tracking tool and is extremely user-friendly. Great visuals and drag-drop features.

PROS

Ease of use, Intuitive functionality, and beautiful UI. The team at Loxo are fantastic at making software enhancements and customizing it to meet your needs.

CONS

The only con would be that it's not built out as well to support recruiter commission splits and contract recruiting models.

I like the product, but still has room to improve the UX

PROS

The Loxo chrome extension makes it simple to import profiles into the database. The software is user-friendly and here are a lot of helpful features, such as making outreach campaigns and reports. Instead of an installed program on the desktop, I like how the software is in a browser so that our team can always have access to it when on-the-go. They also have an extensive help guide and easy access to the support team if you need assistance.

CONS

Loxo continues to make updates, which I understand is well-intentioned. However, there have been multiple occasions when these updates have ended up setting our team back in productivity due to Loxo changing or removing certain features we have relied on. When reaching out to support, we are often told that they cannot revert these features back to the way things were, which ends up making the UX less enjoyable.

Easy to use + great features

I've looked at and used many other ATS systems before, this is by far my favorite. I've already recommended it to another boutique agency and they've implemented it.

PROS

Loxo is visually very pleasing; love the way it imports candidate/ company pictures and the look/ flow overall. I love you can keep track in real time of the candidate flow, how it imports the teams' emails to candidate profiles so everyone is in the loop, and even though it's only accurate about half the time, the "reveal contact info" is very useful.

CONS

The contact info reveal could be more accurate, but that's really my only "complaint".

Even though it was a bit more pricey, I like the visuals, the AI matching/ internal database is nice, and the customer support is always quick with any answers.

Very happy with Loxo

PROS

Loxo is user friendly and easy to learn. I have not used another ATS so I may be biased but I love the functionality of Loxo. When other companies approach our team, we usually find that Loxo offers most if not all of what we need compared to other similar products. The support team is responsive and friendly and resolve issues quickly. The newer automation features have been a game-changer for us.

CONS

We would LOVE the ability to text from a cell phone. I use the text feature all day long and it is frustrating that I can't use this feature when I am away from my desk.

Loxo is the wave of the future for recruiting

Overall I am very pleased with Loxo and their staff - they offer an excellent platform and customer service. That is HUGE for me.

PROS

I loved my dedicated customer support person, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]- she walked me through the whole system to make sure I understood everything. Loxo incorporates Digital Marketing tactics with recruiting to make the process flow that of ease and eliminates a lot of the time consuming task in the push of a few button.

CONS

I don't have any cons for the software. Anything I couldn't figure out, customer service was there to help me.

Loxo is an excellent tool for Modern Recruiting

Responsive, smart, easy.

PROS

Loxo is constantly adapting to user needs and industry needs. The changes made are timely, seamlessly and smart. Loxo is a modern recruiting tool that I am happy to use daily!

CONS

Some extra steps are needed in simple transactions...like replying to a text. I'd rather be able to do that via email than going back into the candidate profile. I'd also like to be able to one-click reject a candidate from the pool of candidates.

We're glad we made the switch!

PROS

Great desktop/ web UI. Ease of use. Really like the searchability and the drag and drop. The Outlook extension was a nice add, as well as the Forms builder. Text feature is nice. The Chrome extension is probably my favorite feature.

CONS

Lacks integration with other tools, which sometimes requires a duplication of effort on our part. Some data was not easily exported when we needed to export to other tools. The mobile UI could use some work.

Easiest setup - hit the ground running with plenty of support

Great experience using the product and also solid support when you need it.

PROS

The import tools, including CSV and Loxo Chrome Extension, first got my attention. From there, it's so easy and user-friendly to both use and customize. It helped get a business off the ground with minimal fuss.

CONS

Don't have any complaints at the moment, actually.

Very easy to get started

I was able to hit the ground running.

PROS

The ability to add candidates to Loxo from LinkedIn. This saves a LOT of time. I also like the way I can quickly see where candidates are in the recruiting process on the jobs screen

CONS

Just a couple minor ease of use/efficiency items *Inability to update candidate workflow while in the people view *Would like to see most recent update in people view *Call list - would like to see what job person is matched to *Adding candidates from Loxo, add a 2nd Add to button at the bottom of the window, vs having to scroll down for the job and then back up to the top to add *When entering data in people record, you enter on the left hand side of screen (ie, like adding email address), but then have to go to the right to click save. *Need a field and report for Source. This is a huge asset in determining the most successful avenues for understanding which sources are most effective. Also great when communicating status to hiring managers on progress of their search/opening

Great platform, they continue to improve

PROS

If it's not available on loxo today, just give it a few months! They go above and beyond to iterate on the product to make it a more effective and efficient tool. The staff is lovely and responsive. The UI is good looking with lots of drag and drop options. It's the perfect tool for our business today.

CONS

In a perfect world, there would be more seamless integrations with social platforms.

PROS

Loxo helps keep us organized and allows us to collaborate with our clients to provide exceptional service. It has allowed us to work on more job orders, keeping us organized and making sure we are on top of communicating with our client and candidates.

CONS

The mobile app could be further developed.

PROS

Loxo is the best platform that offers a combination of applicant tracking & outreach/CRM

CONS

Reporting is not set up to be super usable. we have to export the data and create our own reports to use it effectively. There are also a number of metrics that aren't tracked that would be super useful

Loxo is a great software that helps keep my co-workers and I very organized and easy to search.

You are able to keep track of candidates progress, who is working with which candidate and easy to search.

PROS

I like that the customer service support is very responsive and helpful. I am able to add and take away notes, number and emails very easily. I also like how everything is documented properly so co-workers are stepping over each other.

CONS

When using a mail merge, it makes it very difficult to keep organized with this feature. If a person responds to the email, the bucket does not change. This causes confusion and disorganization.
