We do not use all the functionalities in the system, mostly because we use it in a slightly different industry than what Rentmans most users are workring in. But also since our economy system in separate form Rentman with manual transfer between the system, and since we have had to do some workaround in order to adapt the system to the way our industry works locally in our country. Rentmans support team is outstanding. Always there to help with a very humble approach and always with very detailed descriptions of functions or features. I would like to be able to book a simple reminder or enter a basic job so when on the road I don't forget when returning to work to complete a full job entry. Rentman has made a massive improvement to the way that we do our stock management and quoting our clients. The team is willing to listen to the client feedback, and will implement new features accordingly, could take a while, but they do eventually get to it #### Cons There are some bugs that take a while to get fixed, however, a message off to the support team will get these resolved normally in a short time. #### Reasons for switching to Rentman The system was not scalable, and we required having our own in-house terminal server so that each user could log in and work on the software. I never read much of the tips and tricks section, but after couple of hours use I was able to figure out the key functions. I like the amount of time it saves me in quotations and planning for resources. Especially I like the Crew Planner.. That helps a lot when booking people to gigs. Our freelancers are also happy with the Rentman App for phone. Web based service is also a very good thing for smaller business when the need for own server base and maintenance is eliminated. #### Cons I tried to think this quite a lot, actually. The only thing that really bugs me is the section of documents which takes in data from tabs (customer name, location, project number..) For me, and probably many other, who do not understand that much about coding,(think the section is using css?) that there would be a simpler way to edit the general data of the document. I also happen to know that what I just wrote, corrupts the very idea for the software to fetch the data on the section automatically. Document templates are a bit annoying to get "just right", but well worth it in the long run. One does need a specialist within the organization who is very "into" the software and wants to learn more, and train others, in order to make things run smoothly. It is not that simple, for most of the users. #### Reasons for choosing Rentman Based on a demo trial I figured very quickly Rentman to be just what I need. They get back to you as soon as they can. They have plenty of warning if their team is not available. They act fast in emergencies. most importantly, they listen. We have come to them with ideas of features that should be added only to see an update the next month with our recommendations/implementations. #### Cons The learning curve and functionality. The learning curve was difficult although [sensitive content hidden] and the plenty of resources they had made it go by fast. You really just need to learn the terminology and then you can almost use it however you please. It is very customizable in the sense that there are multiple ways to complete a task. IE schedule, book equipment, take inventory, check gear in and out, truck pack weight/power requirements. Just once you get 3-4 layers deep like editing a document template, or creating your own QR tags. Also the quick overview and online availability. The planning of material personnel and vehicle fleet becomes child's play. The organization of the material is simple and clear, as is the overall appearance of the software. Everything runs very reliably. Also the hiring of material is easy to do. The workshop module is clear and practical. This program is packed with knowledge and passion. The support is very fast and effective. #### Cons Little things in the mobile app. For example, you can not simply create a project quickly, with name and date and info. You can work out later in the office. That would be very helpful if you get orders on the way.
