It is being very useful for the company in terms of agility, and saves time taking advantage of its functionalities including automatic filling.

I love Wing Python IDE, i was able to code some thing faster due to all the extra help this software gives you.

Wing has an excellent debugger, with great code inspection and autocomplete. The ability to work on remote projects is great too.

Sometimes , it is difficult to understand and I think it is a little overpriced.

I like WingPython IDE due to its powerful error debugger and easy navigation through code.

Wing was right there for me allowing special setups providing an easy way to integrate those technologies into my everyday programming requirements.

Customer support is amazing. You can often expect an email response from the dev team within minutes of filing a bug report.

The support staff is great. I've made many suggestions and requests for improvement to them over the years and they've implemented many of them.

Mistakes should be able to be erased but backspace doesn't in the IDE which is a major turn off, it should be worked on.

Integration with various tool chains, (wx, qt, Vagrant, Jupyter and more)  & external tools such as pylint & various version control systems are both very good.

Wing python is the best python IDEAS there is. It is suited for both beginners and professionals equally.

A must have for python programmers, suited for all of your needs. It keeps getting better and is the must that you should have.

No spell checking of comments, docstrings & strings (it has been mentioned as a possible future feature).

Easy to use product,fast and easy comparing with earlier ide's for python, expecting to be better in future.

Very slow idle and no black  theme and no suggestions.

What makes Wing great is that once you import the needed libraries, code auto completion becomes so graceful and make the development very efficient and rapid.

Overall it's a great powerful tool for Python programming which provides a full range of features.

Editor is fast and responsive with good syntax highlighting, error & warning marking and good autocomplete, (but not too in your face like some).

I like how intuitive the software is for beginners.

A solid  product that will strengthen your efforts.

One thing that I missed in previous versions of Wing was the small set of palettes for coloring syntax.

Things I really appreciate about wingide (pro). The publisher 's have a civilized pricing and licensing approach.

It's quick and not so compute-intensive as competitive software.

Based on your code type an looping the debugger can cause a slow down. I'm not sure this is a problem isolated to Wing as I have seen the same thing when using PyCharm.

It's super fast, the auto-complete and debugging are amazing. You can use your license on multi-computers, and it's one-time purchase.

It's a wonderful software and it's fun to use irregardless of the cons.

I get lost in the full-functioned preference settings often.

Just about the best & worth every penny (Pro User).

Some feature missing or behind PyCharm. Not many plugins available.

The recent acquisition by Idera has given some pause to the community (there were a flurry of exits from long-timers as well) but so far it seems to be working out.

Pick it up and move it over. I can't emphasize enough how valuable these traits are in environments that do not have the luxury of time and money to continually retrain.

A lot of the power that Lansa delivers is hidden under the covers and this saved us a ton of money, time and hiring extra resources.

Web based interface make development much easier than on the green screen, plus RDMLX allows for greater field sizes and development tools.

It's flexible, intuitive, and can do make integration easy and FAST. Side by side, doing something in Lansa vs develop something in RPG or COBOL is 2-3x as fast and 10x more intuitive).

Visual LANSA has allowed our strictly iSeries environment to expand to allow web based objects into our integrations, as well as max field sizes beyond normal green screen.

Working with Visual LANSA has been great. It is so nice to use one tool for multiple platforms.

Not very much documentation or presence online when a problem occurs.

Ultimately satisfied our business and user needs.

As a programmer,  I like VL because it is easy to use.

The repository keeps everything organized and reduces code redundancy and the framework helps you get your application out rapidly by taking care of all the plumbing for you.

Sometimes task management can get confusing with objects checked in/checked out.

Used Lansa tools to solve new and or existing business flows and logic. Used Lansa to switch over from various legacy systems (G/L, order entry, sales etc...).

Poor Debugger, One must know the concept and language to use it, limited prebuilt wizards.

Can write as granular as needed for your specific requirements. Once that has been accomplished you can concentrate on UI design and coding.

Visual Lansa is easy for development and modifications, it is user friendly and intuitive software. It also allows interaction with various Microsoft products.

I also really like the developer friendly IDE and the fact that VL helps you with existing applications (as well as new ones).

To many ways to skin a cat with the options to tackle problems.
