Does one thing - but does it extremely well

PROS

It's just one of those pieces of software you never knew you needed - but shows enormous value once you start using it. We use BlogIn at our company to keep everyone on our distributed team on the same page about milestones, policy changes, plans, and company culture. There might be alternatives (like managing your own Wordpress site or corporate grade intranets) but the zero-maintenance factor and ease of use is what sets BlogIn apart from the competition.

CONS

If you're looking for complexity or a tool that does everything, BlogIn might not be the right choice for you.

Easy to implement and maintain, great functionality and amazing customer service

PROS

Easy for anyone to add posts, even less technical people. Easy to implement for the users. People like the option of getting emails or just using the site. The ability to comment easily, and to like without commenting has helped engage our entire employee base, including a significant number of virtual people. We've only had a couple of problems in the year we've been using it. The customer service is amazing when we do need it. Whether I've used chat or email, they are quick to respond.

CONS

The search functionality could be better. As our site has grown, it's harder to find specific posts. We haven't used the Wiki option very much yet, but it doesn't appear to have good visibility over what's been changed or added and by whom. Good revision tracking, but when just reading, you can't see updates easily.

It is great for storing videos

PROS

This site makes it easy to navigate and upload videos, all while controlling who sees them and maintaining privacy/publicity of various content material. I also really like how easy to follow the website it, and I always know where to look.

CONS

While I do love this site, it's not always relevant. I don't upload videos too often, but when I do, this is my go-to site.

an intuitive WYSIWYG company blog

this may be good to help start-ups with their knowledge base, company announcements, etc. but one can only go so far with this site.

PROS

straightforward interface, new users will be able to move inside and start working on the blog right away. menu items are color-coded, so it's easy to identify each menu item. While editing the blog page, copy-pasting formatted items - not much problem (links not incuded, though). love the youtube/video site embedding, inserting new paragraphs in-between items has a guide, so editing and updating is much faster. you can also mention other members of your site with the usual @ sign so they can be notified. rss feed for the posts are also available.

CONS

finding a way to make employees open the company blog can be a pain, this may be good for HR to post company events/activities. i'm afraid other bigger software may also be able to offer this as an add-on/feature. exporting your posts to another site/format/document is also not available.

Blogin is a Great Internal Resource for Any Company

PROS

Blogin is like a company bulletin board for us. Any information about new product releases, company events, or promotions, etc. go on it. I like the ability to tag people and use emojis in my posts. You can also insert images, gifs, or anything embedded really. The biggest benefit of Blogin is having a place where all company announcements are stored, but also the like/comment buttons. The like/comment buttons keep you from receiving the dreaded "REPLY ALL" emails from everyone commenting on an email. Blogin is set up to have all of the interactions kept within the program and seen by everyone there, similar to how Facebook is.

CONS

Blogin could use a few more features than it has. It's just very basic at this time, but it gets the job done.

Blogin is a great tool for fostering company engagement

- Better internal communication - More internal engagement - Easy to Use - Promotes cross-department collaboration

PROS

Blogin has been crucial in our efforts to drive engagement among internal company efforts. As someone who works in marketing, it has been a bit of an uphill battle to effectively communicate internal announcements and updates. Email just wasn't getting the job done. Blogin works like a social media tool, allowing myself and my team to easily publish new statuses and more effectively reach everyone in the company without it being missed. It's also been a great platform for getting engagement for internal initiatives like upcoming events, parties, surveys... whatever you want. It's an excellent tool overall. I have no complaints.

CONS

I wish there were more integrations with platforms like Microsoft Teams. I also wish I had a better idea of knowing upcoming features and enhancements on the roadmap.

Not my cup of tea

my overall experiance wasnt terrible it just didnt live up to my expectations

PROS

the availability of the plugins was what originally drew me in as well as it being a popular source for running blogs.

CONS

It to me seemed alot harder to figure out how to set up a site comparable to what I was currently using. It was harder to figure out how to go about creating and organizing the way i wanted everything to look.

Simple, easy to use tool

Able to centralize a number of other communication tools while letting our employees create content without a lot of overhead.

PROS

I like that the tool is very straightforward. It has the minimum feature set needed to help a team or small company collect and organize information. Team members are able to use posts to do long form communication that doesn't fit in our chat (and shouldn't be in email). We are also able to use the "wiki" capabilities to centralize our procedures, policies, and employee onboarding information. Having everything in one place makes it much easier than using a number of specialized tools.

CONS

The "wiki" feature is just a group editable post and it would be nice if it had the ability to create linked articles like a traditional wiki.

Excellent Customer Service!!

This software makes it easy to set up and run a private, internal company blog. We are a medium to large non-profit with almost 200 employees and all of them can use the blog. We are using this tool to increase interdepartmental communication and share updates.

PROS

There really is no other platform out there that compares to BlogIn. Its simple, easy to use, and exactly what we need to launch our internal blog.

CONS

I have not found any cons. I needed a special feature that was not included and the co-founder reached out to me and offered to design and implement that feature within a very short period of time. Like I said, great customer service!!

Blogin is an excellent tool but it yet needs to be polished a bit !

PROS

Solves most of our issues with internal communication and knowledge sharing. Enables us to store and conveniently find information that was shared, whereas previously, we knew it was somewhere, but no one could remember where or what it said.

CONS

- It would be nice to implement prettier URLs, it's rather universal today and the "/single-post.php?id=xxx" format makes the tool look a little amateur-ish on a tech point of view. - It would also be nice to be able to define rights (like writer) only on a subset of categories.

This system allows communication between groups of people who share a context.

PROS

It is very dynamic how to prepare different static pages of blogs with information that you want to share with your group of contacts. The group of contacts can grow or decrease if the administrator so requires. The way to establish a conversation among many who may be sharing the same office or may be in different geographical sites, is very simple, since the interface highlights the participations of each person. In addition, the administrator can keep a record in your email of the accesses and participations that other invited users have had on your blog. A truly useful tool to manage news, comments, discussions, in order to facilitate communication.

CONS

It can become a bit cumbersome for the administrator saturation of your email with all notifications derived from the participation of users to the blog. However, this in turn has advantages since this detailed record is preserved separately. Another disadvantage is that there are very few days that the trial version offers to test it, after that it is necessary to acquire the license for this competitive tool.

Fun Blog Site

Overall, I was looking for a site to manage my blog posts and try out. I only try out a few trial sites and this was one that I love so much. I like how I am able to go on it and see how everything is. I don’t like to have only a few days to try things, so this was really nice. This site did what it’s supposed to do and there are so many options in the setting area. I don’t like to have only one or two options. I like to have many. The options they gave me were really neat and not complicated.

PROS

I like how I am able to work with my team on the blog posts that I am writing. I also love how I am able to try this site out before doing more work on it. This is a nice site where I can add other freelance writers to this site and all they have to do is get an invitation from me. When I am working with other people I need to keep track on who is writing what blog post. This is very helpful especially when I have loads of people wanting to write. This is a quick way to get started and I love how I get to manage everything that is posted. I love the activity log option where I can see what is going on and who wrote what. I also love how I can set up each blog post in categories and I get to be in control of that. I get to write what category each blog post could possible go into. The usage status button is also creative and I am able to see the status on everything that is going on. I can add a new page to my blog site, so I can also add new topics on each page. This is very well put together. I can also add my company logo without a problem and the other options help me set up my blog with no issues.

CONS

The only thing I dislike is how everything seems a bit small and tiny on the unpublished page area. I know this isn’t the exact blog page area, but it would be nice if it was bigger. I would love if the whole page was really big. The options on the left-hand side are tiny and the words are a bit small. This would be cool if they had an option to increase it on the actual blog site web page.

We absolutely love BlogIn. We use it to spread knowledge and facilitate brief team communications

We use it as collaborative information sharing forum to help promote positive news/stories/events amongst our internal community. We also use BlogIn to share and archive our collective knowledge widely with the team.

PROS

BlogIn enables us to better communicate and collaborate across all of our markets. It replaced our e-newsletter and helps us to deliver timely news and content. One of the great benefits of BlogIn is that you'll feel like you know how to use it right from the get go as the format includes many features that are typically seen across different social media channels.

CONS

I would like more options to integrate with other services, for example with Slack. I was informed that Slack integration is already in development, so I am looking forward to that.

Exactly what we needed for internal communication

PROS

What I like the most is the ease of use of the whole platform. The interface is simple, clean and intuitive, uncluttered. Email and desktop notifications greatly help in keeping everyone in the loop and informed on what's new on the blog.

CONS

I would like more customization options, for example, setting up some custom colors for our team blog.

PROS

It's simple and easy to use. The layout is easy to read and finding old posts is simple. The tags you can add to posts are convenient and customizable.

CONS

Limits on the type of files that can be uploaded or linked to a post. There have been cases where customer support has "turned on" a feature or ability for me.

A great solution for our practice

BlogIn gave us the tools we need to easily communicate with all of our employees at the same time. The blog is simple to use, quite intuitive, and embraced by both administrators and users. In addition to weekly schedules, practice memos or educational articles, it was a critical component of our disaster preparedness plan and ensuring all of our employees can be easily reached in the event of an emergency.

PROS

BlogIn is easy to use and allowed us to set up an employee-only communication tool, which our practice has never had in its 50+ year history. With about 100 employees throughout 4 offices in 3 different counties, we can now reach everyone with the same message at the same time.

CONS

I don't have any complaints or recommendations for improvement. This software is user-friendly both on the administrative side and the employee-facing side.

It is the best digital implementation of a blackboard of new developments shared in groups

PROS

It allows us to generate web pages containing information of interest for groups of users, all in one place. Very efficient and easy to operate. Keeps the work team informed and connected to discuss a topic at any time that is warranted.

CONS

It is a very versatile tool, it is flexible in terms of the role that each user has within the group since you can assign certain permissions, some can manage the blog, others can only see the blog, others can see and write comments to the blog. I do not see any inconvenience to this application.

The best no fuss and purpose driven corporate blog platform available.

PROS

Email and Slack integrations ensure all users in our business are kept informed, regardless of their preferred communication medium. Provides an easy to use WYSIWYG interface that allows all users to create well formatted and great looking blog articles.

CONS

No image slider or gallery functionality, you have to add images etc inline. Single sign on is a bit clunky in that it generates users on BlogIn's side. ie. theres no way to add all your users, they have to sign-in for themselves. So it takes a while to onboard everyone. Slack integration sometimes doesn't sync comments back and forth. No bulk import mechanism to pre-populate posts if you are migrating from a previous system.

Thanks for the review. I just wanted to clarify that we do offer import of content from the existing/previous blog at no extra cost. We currently support import from WordPress (XML), Blogger (XML) and Jekyll (markdown) blogs.

PROS

I personally like that it's easy to use and that we can easily send out a message or post within a few minutes

CONS

I've had a little bit of trouble uploading some photos, but only occasionally. If there was a way to make it a little easier that would help

We've just made good experiences with Blogin. Very easy to use.

Increase of internal communication in a very smooth and easy way.

PROS

Blogin increased our internal communication. Through Blogin everybody stays in the loop and gets a good overview over all topics in the company. People can be divided in departments so we also use it for department internal news.

CONS

We are fully satisfied so far, there is nothing we miss from the feature perspective. It's easy to use, which makes it easy to get new employees onboarded.

Easy to use webinterface

PROS

what I like most about the software is the easy entry into using it. we us it as a wiki for our company and it does the job perfectly.

CONS

what I like the least about it is that in my opinion it should be easier to interact with images in the text editor. the integration with slack works alright, but you need to search a bit for a method to share the entries with non blogin users.

Not bad platform for internal blog

The previous software we used was too complicated. Blogin satisfies all company needs.

PROS

Our company uses it for the internal blog. We share our reports, news, work progress, ideas, etc there. It is simple and has a clear interface.

CONS

Blogin doesn't have any big problems or issues. At least we didn't face any problems yet while using it for less than a year.
