The schedular has a great calendar with drag and drop capability. Everything is integrated so nothing falls through the cracks. Our customers have also enjoyed using the software. The software encourages customers to leave tips when making payments. Where we weren't getting many tips before we now get lots of tips. The software has more than paid for itself just in tips! Cons: Since we pay our employees by the hour including travel time between visits we would like to see the tracking of travel time integrated more automatically into the software. I needed to be able to KNOW for a fact that employees were at a client's home on time, not leaving, and have pictures that show both myself and the pet owners how their pets are doing. It has taken away the fear that someone could be taking advantage of this job. I have said from the beginning that it must be a team of people who have run a pet sitting business or been a pet sitter before to intuit exactly what we need in the business. Scheduling with small, precise windows, report customization options, and the client communication (whether it's push notifications, emails, or the chat area) are the top things we love about Time To Pet. Cons: There's always areas to add on to, but I think for the cost, it's fantastic and they are always adding. My main desire would be to have an easier way to share the calendar with sitters so they can see who else is working and can switch shifts if they want. He made you feel your question or comment was most important to him - now they seem to be stock answers from the service department making you feel more like a number than a client. Ratings Breakdown 3 Ease of use 4 Value for money 5 Customer support 3 Functionality Pros: Ease of Scheduling for subcontractors/employees on the road via the app or in the office on the computer. As well as generating subcontractor/employee invoices/pay - very little effort on admin to complete these tasks. Customer Service is very quick and responsive. Invoicing to the client is effortless - unless you do not keep up with the scheduling! Cons: Like most dog walking companies or businesses, we use sub-contractors - so basically self-employed individuals. These sub-contractors have access to information that I do consider confidential. I understand the basics of subcontractors seeing the client name, address, entry/alarm code - otherwise, they would not be able to perform the job they were hired to complete - but if I am having a conversation with a client who has asked questions, made comments, etc this information should not be able to be seen by the subcontractor or employees. Yet it is if that particular individual was assigned to that particular client. Imagine your surprise when a client sends you a note on the lack of performance or how anything negative about your subcontractor/employee and that said person was able to read the entire thread! Con #2 - We do pack walks that vary day by day - every client in the pack walk is in conflict with each other according to the schedule. It would appear the scheduling aspect of the software is set up for an individual at specific times. Not such a big deal as you just have to override it but a bit of a pain when doing mass scheduling. Con #3 - When a client submits a request for service and they are a client that does not get invoiced you can not accept the request without generating an invoice. The option not to invoice is not present on client generated service requests. Reasons for choosing Time To Pet We choose Time to Pet as we thought it was one of the only ones out there to service our particular requirements and the reviews. They are constantly taking feedback from their users and are always actively improving the product, adding amazing new features, and staying ahead of the competition. There's just no other software on the market that does with TTP does, nor do they have the TTP team backing it up. With staff and quite a few clients, this software ensures nothing is ever missed and that our clients enjoy an app for themselves as well. Cons: Due to the sheer number of customizations, the program can be daunting at first. However, it is completely worth the time to learn it. I had to think outside the box a bit to ensure the program could be tailored to the specific needs of my company which can be scary at first. TTP has never let me down and I've always been able to use the features and options to tailor the program to be exactly what I need. While there are a lot of documents explaining how to do things, more video instruction would be helpful however TTP's customer service is the absolute BEST. If you can't figure it out or can't find the answer you're looking for, their team is always knowledgeable and quick to respond. Reasons for choosing Time To Pet TTP contained the greatest ability to tailor the program to my companies needs. It has such a variety of customizations, I feel like it was built just for my business. Coupled with their customer service, I took the leap and I am so glad I did. I couldn't imagine running my business with any other pet sitting software. Reasons for switching to Time To Pet Power Pet Sitter started to feel like it was a step behind. Updates were not made quickly, if at all. Complaints fell on deaf ears, and the system felt like it was from the 90's. It helps me take care of many admin tasks easily and quickly. It helps me with onboarding new clients, booking and scheduling, sending reports and photos to clients, invoicing, sending saved, scheduled and auto replies, financial reports, tracking pay and hours and most importantly making sure that we never miss a visit. A new feature is added every couple of months and support is quick, friendly and helpful. Cons: No cat in logo even though there are just as many cat owners as dog owners who receive updates through Time to Pet. Reasons for choosing Time To Pet At the time (end of 2017), was the only pet sitting software that had an app that was up and running. Was also most popular with other pet sitters with reports of strong reliability. I found this to be true once I was using the software. Also has a really good facebook group for users. It takes a couple days to get things set up the way you want them, and you’ll tweak things as you go, but once it’s set up it saves you SO MUCH TIME! As a pet sitter you are always on the go and trying to juggle all of your clients invoices and reservations, while ensuring accuracy, can be a daunting task. I’ve tried over 30 different softwares, many of them pet-sitter specific and others that aren’t. TTP is by far the most customizable, user-friendly, attractive UI. Ratings Breakdown 5 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 5 Functionality Pros: TTP is already very comprehensive and includes everything you need to run your business, but they are constantly improving and adding new features throughout the year. Reasons for choosing Time To Pet I spent time setting up an account with each of these softwares and more. I added dummy clients and fake services to test out all the features. There was 1 or 2 that were way too advanced and were more appropriate for large pet sitting companies with 5+ employees and hundreds/thousands of clients. But as a solo pet sitter I was looking for something comprehensive but also with a simple and intuitive interface. TTP was by far the most customizable, especially compared to Scout (which I loved the UI, hated that there were almost no customizable settings). So, I’m able to set TTP up to follow the policies of my business in terms of billing due dates, holidays and extra pet fees, clients are automatically asked to approve the service agreement when logging in and will be prompted whenever I update the terms. I could not have expected something to have such a profound effect on my business. I implemented the software just before our busiest period being the Christmas season and it was by far my most stress-free and smooth sailing one to date and I'm absolutely certain 90% of it is because of TTP. Previously I was using a custom built database that I needed to be on front of my computer to do anything with. This was EXTREMELY time consuming and left a huge lag from client request to action. Now with TTP, I can action client request instantly and that's only if they choose not to do it their self. I can easily and effortlessly stay in contact with clients and vise versa and my clients now have added piece of mind with the visit report, time tracking and GPS function.
