I’ve lost count of the number of times that I’ve recommended it to other people in the same business activities as me. I signed up for a trial intending to use it for a few clients as a test and within two days had migrated my entire business to use the product. Since then, I’ve remained impressed, particularly with the responsiveness of the SortScape team to issues, and the commitment to developing and improving the product. Cons: There are a few interface things that can be fiddly until you work them out. I still sometimes forget to update the date of a job when intending to create it for a future visit and this can result in me forgetting to do a task for a client. Reasons for choosing SortScape Price, ease of use and integration. At time of choosing SortScape it was a scheduling product and met my needs without introducing lots of bells and whistles. The SortScape team are very responsive and always do their best to help with any questions. I also like that the team are making regular updates and improvements. Being based in Australia is a big plus too. Cons: \- There has always been a bit of low level clunkiness in different aspects of the app. eg: dragging and dropping visits into different runs isn’t as smooth as it could be. Dragging something to an area that is off screen, ie; you are using the visit to make the screen scroll up or down, requires me to shuffle my thumb back and forth to make the screen move. Seems unnecessary. - The tags, while helpful for visual queues, don’t offer any actual functionality. I’m hoping that this changes over time, to enable searching for properties using terms other than suburbs or names. I group my clients by zones, of which I have 8. Each zone has many suburbs, so it would be a great time save to be able to search by a certain tag description (zone in this case) - im not sure if this is even possible. It would be fantastic if we were able to transfer an entire run into Waze or Google Maps, so that the entire day’s route could run continuously. As opposed to clicking in to get directions after each job. Reasons for choosing SortScape Price and functionality. SortScape seemed easier to implement too. We love the addition of the day notes and look forward to future developments in the software. Great to keep the guys organised and on track and also pickup the loose jobs that sometimes don’t get billed for. It’s been invaluable in justifying costs in our fixed price maintenance system because the data speaks for itself. Would be great to link up with a customer portal so keep them in the loop and also allow requests but again perhaps I’ve not explored those avenues in the software as yet Cons: Could have a slightly clearer day list when you have multiple teams. Is there an option to only show certain crews so it’s not as busy. We’d also love a news feed showing the pictures and works from the day. It would help me keep adrift of information added instead of having to dig into each job. We’d also quite like an auto track feature which would save us having the van tracking or even work alongside it. The team is invested in the system, and generally care about their clients. It's great for all crews from a single operator to a multi-crew, multi-divison business which we now have. The routing system allows me to organise jobs to minimise drive time, the mapping system allows me to see all jobs for the week and the areas for optimisation, and I love the fact that I can move an entire day with a single click, and send quotes/invoices from point of contact. The support is second to none, and I have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours trialling systems to find a solution for our business before landing on Sortscape. Cons: Overall, it's a great system; every time I find something not working or suggest an improvement, it's fixed. It's not as customisable as some of the other systems out there, but the run management outdoes this small point.
