## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.6/5
- Total reviews: 1,774

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.6/5
- Customer support: 4.9/5
- Value for money: 4.5/5
- Functionality: 4.4/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 1,202 reviews (68%)
- 4 stars: 523 reviews (29%)
- 3 stars: 41 reviews (2%)
- 2 stars: 3 reviews (0%)
- 1 star: 5 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- Its familiar PowerPoint workflow helps me build and revise courses efficiently, while the assessment and simulation tools support realistic practice. Although I would welcome more creative control, it is a reliable and accessible authoring tool.
- I've used it to develop onboarding programs, operational training, process training, and interactive learning experiences for franchise owners and employees.
- iSpring Suite stands out for its seamless PowerPoint integration, making course creation fast and intuitive even for non-technical users, while still offering a solid set of features like quizzes, dialogue simulations, and built-in video recording.

### Most mentioned cons

- I have experienced various bugs when uploading the SCORM packages into my LMS, such as letters disappearing from interactions, interactions not working correctly. As I become more advanced in course creation, I would also like more customization in the interactions.
- The main downside is the pricing and the limited advanced customization options for more complex e-learning projects.
- So most of the time, I had to contact the help center, and even though they are very helpful and responsive, I still lose time because I have to explain my problem, and they need time to look for the documentation before sending it to me.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

iSpring Suite is a helpful tool that enables me to assemble quick learning videos, longer interactive learning modules, engage my learners in a little friendly competition, and is easy to use. Their customer support is very helpful. Today, [sensitive content hidden] was instrumental in helping me get my iSpring tools all set up with my new laptop in about a minute.

#### Cons

As is the case with many LMS systems, you do have to move files around a bit more than I'd like but that is the only down side.

#### Reasons for choosing iSpring Suite

Price, availability of extra options, integrations, but overall their customer support team far outranked everyone else.

#### Vendor response

Loved the integration with PowerPoint for course creation. Love how easy the platform is to navigate. The level and timeliness of support we receive from support agents help keep projects moving forward.

#### Cons

Wish there was a monthly pricing model, as we only offer training/do course creation for about 3-4 months out of the year so with it being an annual pricing model, it makes it a hard sell to continue with our subscription.

#### Reasons for choosing iSpring Suite

iSpring is much more user friendly, the platform was less technical to use, and it made our course creation more streamlined, allowing us to meet tighter deadlines.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

iSpring Suite operates the same way as PowerPoint - so all of your PPT skills are immediately transferrable to author a course. It looks professional and is seamless in uploading directly to iSpring LMS. There are user guides for many of the things you aim to do in course creation or short videos in the iSpring resource library. Customer support is also very responsive and helpful. Finally, once again, the price cannot be beat.

Overall I believe iSpring is the perfect program for a beginner in course creation. The plug-and-play style interactions are easy to learn how to use and you get a decent amount of color and slide customization. However as I progress in my career as a course developer, I do find myself feeling restricted by the customization limitations found in iSpring.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like how user-friendly the program is, especially for beginners. I am able to create more interactive courses without a huge learning curve as a creator. The interactions are great for online courses to engage the learner.

#### Cons

I have experienced various bugs when uploading the SCORM packages into my LMS, such as letters disappearing from interactions, interactions not working correctly. As I become more advanced in course creation, I would also like more customization in the interactions.

#### Reasons for switching to iSpring Suite

iSpring is more beginner-friendly and quicker to create courses.

#### Vendor response

Hi Logan, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with iSpring Suite! It’s great to know that you find it user‑friendly and that the interactions help make your courses more engaging. We appreciate you pointing out the issues with SCORM uploads and interaction bugs. That definitely shouldn’t be happening, and our technical support team would be happy to take a closer look at those cases. You can reach them anytime at support@ispring.com. It’s also great feedback about wanting more customization options as your skills grow. What specific types of customization or control would you like to have in iSpring Suite? For example, are there particular interaction designs, layout changes, or player adjustments you wish you could make? Thanks again for your thoughtful review. We’re happy iSpring has been a great starting point for you, and we hope it continues to grow with your development journey!

iSpring Max is an intuitive, easy‑to‑use authoring tool that makes creating professional eLearning content fast and enjoyable. Its seamless text‑to‑speech, customizable designs, and built‑in quizzes make course creation effortless, and publishing to any LMS is smooth and reliable. A fantastic all‑in‑one solution for modern training needs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

iSpring Max has quickly become one of my favorite eLearning development tools. From the moment I opened it, the platform felt easy to use, intuitive, and incredibly well‑designed. Even without extensive training, I was able to jump right in and start creating polished, professional content. One of the standout features for me is the text‑to‑speech conversion. It’s remarkably smooth and natural‑sounding, saving hours of recording time while still maintaining a high‑quality learner experience. Paired with the ability to add interactive quizzes, it becomes effortless to build engaging courses that keep learners involved and boost knowledge retention. Customization options are another major win. iSpring Max offers flexible design tools, templates, and settings that let you tailor every piece of content to match your brand or training needs. Whether I’m building a quick refresher module or a full multi‑lesson course, I always feel in control of the final output. Finally, publishing and uploading couldn’t be simpler. With just a few clicks, I can export SCORM‑compliant packages and upload them directly to our learning management system without any compatibility issues. The process is fast, seamless, and dependable. Overall, iSpring Max is a powerful, user‑friendly, all‑in‑one solution that makes course creation not only manageable but enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to build professional eLearning quickly and effectively!

#### Cons

The iSpring project folder tree creates pain points. The tool generates a large, cluttered directory filled with numerous subfolders, each containing assets, media, and configuration files. While this may be necessary from a technical standpoint, it’s not user‑friendly. Managing or moving project files becomes unintuitive because everything must stay in its exact folder structure for the project to remain functional. Accidentally moving or renaming a folder easily breaks links or corrupts the project. For teams trying to organize many courses—or store them in shared directories—this rigid folder tree introduces unnecessary complexity.

#### Reasons for switching to iSpring Suite

Enterprise license was too costly and therefore switched to a more affordable solution that fully met our needs

#### Vendor response

Hi Krisin! Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re so happy iSpring Suite has become one of your favorite tools! It’s great to know that it helps you create professional‑quality training content with ease. We’re especially glad the interactive quizzes and seamless LMS publishing make the whole process smoother. Thank you for your feedback about the folder structure. We understand how important file organization is, especially when working on multiple courses or collaborating with a team. The current folder hierarchy is designed to ensure stable project performance and preserve all linked assets, which is essential for reliable SCORM output. This setup helps maintain the integrity of your course once it’s published and uploaded to an LMS. If you ever run into any technical issues, please reach out to our support team at support@ispring.com. We'll be happy to help and find a solution together. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for being part

#### Pros

iSpring Tech Support Specialist, [sensitive content hidden], was extremely responsive and followed up with me when I missed an email. His speed, patience and accuracy is actually why I'm writing this review! iSpring's narration features are some of the best I've worked with, and the UI is clean and largely easy to use, especially for the quizzes and interactive learning tools. Course creation is a snap compared to other tools like Adobe Captivate.

#### Cons

Their AI Assistant is laughably bad, as it often gave instructions for phased out features, even after specifying only to search through documentation for Suite 11. It was frustrating to waste so much time on it when an email to their support team solved my issue in minutes. There is room for improvement for the tool itself, such as being able to specify where to put line breaks for subtitles and have it carry over to the export (I wasted a lot of time trying to troubleshoot why the subtitles were exporting on a single line). The Slide Properties window is also one of the less intuitive interfaces iSpring has. Ultimately, the cost seems to be high for a PowerPoint plugin but is competitive for the other instructional design options on the market (or lack thereof).

#### Reasons for switching to iSpring Suite

Captivate has a terrible interface and user experience and poor support.

#### Vendor response

Hi, Thank you so much for your detailed review and your kind words about our tech support team. We’re thrilled to hear that their responsiveness, patience, and accuracy made such a positive impact. It’s wonderful to know that iSpring’s narration features, clean UI, and quizzes help you create courses faster than with tools like Adobe Captivate. We completely understand your frustration with the AI Assistant referencing outdated features, subtitle line break controls, and the Slide Properties interface. Your feedback on these specific workflows is incredibly valuable and helps us prioritize future improvements. We truly appreciate your time and trust. They mean a lot to us and help make iSpring even stronger.

Ispring has been my choice for online course development for the last 6 years. It's very easy to use, and it has a lot of useful conversion tools to make the course workable with most platforms.

### Excellent course creator integrated into PowerPoint, for a price.

The tool is fantastic. It's easy to use as it adds more options to a PowerPoint presentation. Quiz questions can be created in an excel template and loaded all at once. There are a lot of features I didn't use just because our content is simple, but the features I did use were great. My only complaint is the pricing, if you have limited users who don't access the content very long, you're paying for months of access which are never used.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Having it as a PowerPoint toolbar is very helpful as creating slides with animations already works. It's easy to add quiz questions and interactions. There is a lot of customization options for the player which runs the slide set within it. The interactions allow text wrapping around an images (while PowerPoint still doesn't). The help/tutorial documentation was also created well, emailing help with questions was responded to in a timely manner.

#### Cons

In one word, Price. We didn't like pricing where we are paying for 12 months for the maximum number of learners on our plan, even if we only needed to give individuals access for 4 months. They did give us a discount for being a non-profit, but the price increase was too much for us.

#### Reasons for choosing iSpring Suite

The pricing at the time we signed up which doesn't exist anymore. The easy of use of the software.

#### Reasons for switching to iSpring Suite

Avilar got way to expensive, and we had to send the course files to another person to update. We had it for so long, but the learner report tools looked like they were never updated from the 90s.

iSpring is a very practical solution for anyone who wants to create interactive, professional eLearning quickly without sacrificing instructional quality. The combination of iSpring Cloud for AI-assisted content creation and iSpring Suite for building interactions inside PowerPoint works extremely well. You can go from a rough idea to a functional, interactive module in a very short amount of time. It’s especially well suited to consultants, instructional designers, and organisations that already rely on PowerPoint and want to elevate it into something far more engaging.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

- Seamless PowerPoint integration (very low learning curve) - Strong interaction types: quizzes, steps, tabs, accordions, role plays, branching - iSpring Cloud AI is genuinely helpful for drafting lessons and assessments - Flexible publishing (SCORM, LMS, web, iSpring Cloud) - Great for SMEs, consultants, and fast-paced projects

#### Cons

- AI content still requires review and refinement - Visual customization is solid but not unlimited - Best suited to structured learning rather than highly experimental designs

#### Reasons for choosing iSpring Suite

Price and easy of learning in comparison to other products.

#### Vendor response

I've used it to develop onboarding programs, operational training, process training, and interactive learning experiences for franchise owners and employees. The built-in quizzes, interactions, and dialogue simulations make it easy to move beyond static content and create more engaging courses. Overall, I enjoy using iSpring Suite.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

As an instructional designer, one of my biggest priorities is creating effective learning experiences while managing multiple projects and deadlines. iSpring has been instrumental in helping me do that. The reason I initially gravitated toward iSpring was its ease of use. Because it's integrated with PowerPoint, I didn't have to spend weeks learning a completely new platform. If you can build a PowerPoint presentation, you can begin creating eLearning courses in iSpring relatively quickly. What stands out most is how much time it saves. Instead of spending hours troubleshooting complicated development tools, I can focus on instructional design and learner outcomes. This has allowed me to develop and deploy training programs much faster while still maintaining quality and consistency.

#### Cons

Advanced customization options are somewhat limited compared to more complex authoring tools and some interactions could offer additional flexibility.

#### Vendor response

Hi Jennifer, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It’s really good to hear that iSpring Suite has been a helpful part of your day-to-day work, especially in managing multiple projects and staying focused on what matters most. We’re especially glad that the PowerPoint-based approach helps you get started quickly and saves you time, so you can spend more energy on instructional design and learner outcomes rather than technical setup. We also appreciate your honest feedback about advanced customization and interaction flexibility. Also, are there any particular interaction types you find yourself trying to build but currently cannot achieve easily in iSpring Suite? Thanks again for sharing your experience. iSpring Suite integrates seamlessly with PowerPoint, so there’s virtually no learning curve if you’re already familiar with PPT. It’s very user-friendly and easy to get started with. Additionally, their customer support is responsive and highly reliable.

#### Cons

There are a few bugs that still need to be resolved. The platform also has some limitations, for instance, the player is fixed and could benefit from more customization options. The pricing could be more reasonable given the current feature set, and the overall look and feel is quite basic and could be made more visually appealing.

#### Vendor response

Hi Prashant, Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts! We’re really glad you find iSpring Suite easy and intuitive to use with PowerPoint, and that you enjoy creating courses and adding interactive elements like role‑plays and quizzes. It’s also great to hear that our customer support has been helpful, responsive, and reliable for you. Your feedback about the player’s customization options is very valuable to us. Could you share a bit more about what you mean by “more customization options”? For example: Which parts of the player would you like to customize (colors, layout, controls, branding, etc.)? Are there specific types of courses or situations where the current player feels limiting? We really appreciate your comment on pricing. We see it as fair for a full year of iSpring Suite, including regular updates, support, and the full feature set, and your input helps us refine the value. Thank you again for taking the time to share your insights!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I really liked how iSpring Suite offers great value for money compared to other eLearning authoring tools. The interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate, even for beginners with limited technical skills. Course creation is quick and efficient, especially with the PowerPoint-based workflow that saves a lot of time. The interactive learning features like quizzes, simulations, and dialogue scenarios are highly engaging and effective. I also appreciated the clean and professional user interface, which makes designing content feel smooth and organized. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I needed guidance. Overall, it’s a reliable tool that makes creating high-quality training courses simple and enjoyable.

#### Cons

While iSpring Suite is very capable, I found that some advanced customization options are limited compared to more robust authoring tools. The design flexibility can feel somewhat restricted if you want highly unique or complex layouts. Occasionally, larger projects may slow down PowerPoint performance. The pricing can also feel a bit high for small teams or individual creators. Some features, like advanced interactions, require a bit of a learning curve to fully master. Additionally, collaboration options could be improved for teams working simultaneously on projects.

### Reliable for Quiz Banks and LMS Reporting

- Overall rating: 5/5

Overall, it has been a dependable tool for building interactive training and managing assessments. We use it regularly, mainly for quiz creation and structured online courses that need to report to our LMS. It has helped us standardize how we build and deliver training, and it keeps everything trackable for compliance. It is not perfect, especially with large or complex projects, but for day-to-day course creation and quiz management, it does what we need it to do without unnecessary complexity.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The biggest advantage is how easy it is to build structured online courses and quizzes directly in PowerPoint. There is very little learning curve if you are already comfortable with slides. For our team, that made adoption simple and practical. The quiz features are strong. We can create question banks, randomize questions, and build interactive assessments without overcomplicating the process. Publishing to SCORM is straightforward, and it works well with our LMS. For the amount of functionality it provides, it feels like good value, especially if your main focus is course creation and assessments.

#### Cons

As projects grow, organization becomes more manual. Large quiz banks and multiple versions of files can be difficult to manage, particularly in a team setting. Some customization options feel limited, especially if you want more control over the player or layout. When something does not publish exactly as expected, troubleshooting can take time. It is usually fixable, but the platform does not always make the issue obvious. A little more clarity in error messages or guidance would improve the experience.

#### Vendor response

Hi Fallon, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re really happy to hear that iSpring Suite makes course and quiz creation straightforward for your team. It’s great to know that features like question banks, randomization, and SCORM publishing have been working well with your LMS. We really appreciate your feedback about project organization, customization, and troubleshooting. That's incredibly helpful for us. Could you tell us a bit more about how your team manages multiple course versions or large quiz banks right now? We’d love to understand what makes that process feel a bit too manual. You also mentioned wanting more control over the player or layout. Are there specific changes or design options that would make your work easier? And if you remember a time when publishing didn’t go as expected, what kind of message or in‑app guidance would’ve helped you resolve it faster? Thanks again for choosing iSpring Suite. Your input helps us make the product better.

#### Cons

In one update, the user buttons in iSpring's Talkmaster were set to extend the entire length of the screen, which cuts off valuable screen space for me. I hope they make that optional.

Both the support team and our account manager were always available whenever we needed assistance — fast, friendly, and knowledgeable.
