Essential to bringing a practice together

Training progress are so supportive with setting up and continued training with their platform. Any glitches have been sorted out quickly and they continue to improve it.

PROS

Training progress turned into the bible for the practice, bringing all sop's, protocols, and how to guides to one place for everyone to access. This gave everyone the resources and confidence to do their jobs independently. It also made it easy to transfer this across to branch practices so the standards we set were met.

CONS

It is quite a job getting all your protocols on to TP but it is a good chance to check them all and make sure they are current before getting staff to read them and sign off. So although a lengthy process it was worth while.

Lots of useful functions

The initial implementation was easy, the team and their customer service is great. We are still in the process of building up what we use on the system and this will take time but we were aware of that before we started and it is just a matter of having time in practice to get these things done.

PROS

I love that you can keep a record of everyone's training and monitor when people have completed things. The function to remind users to refresh their training is really important and it also reminds administrators to review the relevance of any training as well. It all help ensure the training material is kept up to date. The ability to delegate training and assessment out to other team members really helps to take the load off the management team when keeping training up to date.

CONS

The backend system for setting up new training, adding documents etc could be a bit more user friendly but it's ok when you get the hang of it. I would like a little more functionality in the editing areas but they are adding new feature regularly so this is ever improving.

Reason for choosing Training-Progress

Veterinary specific package, and the ability to delegate training down through the team and monitor and review easily.

A great addition to our practice!

PROS

It’s extremely user friendly. Plus the customer service has been extremely helpful when setting it up and throughout the process of learning how to make the most of the platform.

CONS

It can take awhile to get used how to set up everything, although that’s where I would recommend contacting them to help you. Once I got the hang of things, it became fairly straight forward. I have found when I go to search for an element we’ve previously uploaded, I can’t always find it, but I feel this maybe be a user error as there are till teething issues. Nothing that can’t be fixed with help from the training progress team.

PROS

I like how everything can be in one place and is easily accessible - vital in the veterinary industry. I also like how even if something is not required specifically for your job you can still find the documents relating to it easily. The record of training is also extremely useful especially when it comes to inspections. The customer care is also exceptional.

CONS

There are a few areas where it would be easier to have it in one spot - however this was brought up and training progress are working on a solution.

Training Progress review

TP solves the problem it sets it to do: recording training. I would prefer a revamped interface in an app format with instant 'smartphone access' and a more intuitive way of organising information and staff and a more modern/easier way of setting up training and managing team members' training. I like that support is second to none and that development seems to be constant. I hope that development will head in the direction of making TP into a piece of software that is "beautiful to use", and thus, indispensable.

PROS

It solves the problem of recording training and assessment and reassessing as appropriate. Support from [sensitive content hidden] and team is excellent and proactive. I like that quizzes are available as part of assessment.

CONS

It is clunky to access, probably because it is not yet an app, which means it is not used as a "ready reference" for the team. Set up and creation of training and differentiating staff roles and ascribing training to team members is not very intuitive yet.

I love the product and have used it in several occasions with a multitude of clients with great results.

it's flexibility to adapt to all different industries. it's a great training tool and document management tool

CONS

I find some of its features confusing such as the area where to add new people. I don't find that section very intuitive.

Easy to use and create new SOP’s for my area of responsibility. I liked being able to search and find other SOP’s to avoid having to ask others

CONS

Most admin tasks can feel a little tedious and some areas were repetitive but I understand the need for this.
