Essential to bringing a practice together
Training progress are so supportive with setting up and continued training with their platform. Any glitches have been sorted out quickly and they continue to improve it.
PROSTraining progress turned into the bible for the practice, bringing all sop's, protocols, and how to guides to one place for everyone to access. This gave everyone the resources and confidence to do their jobs independently. It also made it easy to transfer this across to branch practices so the standards we set were met.
CONSIt is quite a job getting all your protocols on to TP but it is a good chance to check them all and make sure they are current before getting staff to read them and sign off. So although a lengthy process it was worth while.

You are right that there is a fair bit of work in set up, but also that most of this is in reviewing and bring documents up to date. Training-Progress do offer additional support to upload content if it is ready to upload.

Lots of useful functions
The initial implementation was easy, the team and their customer service is great. We are still in the process of building up what we use on the system and this will take time but we were aware of that before we started and it is just a matter of having time in practice to get these things done.
PROSI love that you can keep a record of everyone's training and monitor when people have completed things. The function to remind users to refresh their training is really important and it also reminds administrators to review the relevance of any training as well. It all help ensure the training material is kept up to date. The ability to delegate training and assessment out to other team members really helps to take the load off the management team when keeping training up to date.
CONSThe backend system for setting up new training, adding documents etc could be a bit more user friendly but it's ok when you get the hang of it. I would like a little more functionality in the editing areas but they are adding new feature regularly so this is ever improving.

A great addition to our practice!
It’s extremely user friendly. Plus the customer service has been extremely helpful when setting it up and throughout the process of learning how to make the most of the platform.
CONSIt can take awhile to get used how to set up everything, although that’s where I would recommend contacting them to help you. Once I got the hang of things, it became fairly straight forward. I have found when I go to search for an element we’ve previously uploaded, I can’t always find it, but I feel this maybe be a user error as there are till teething issues. Nothing that can’t be fixed with help from the training progress team.

Review of TP
I like how everything can be in one place and is easily accessible - vital in the veterinary industry. I also like how even if something is not required specifically for your job you can still find the documents relating to it easily. The record of training is also extremely useful especially when it comes to inspections. The customer care is also exceptional.
CONSThere are a few areas where it would be easier to have it in one spot - however this was brought up and training progress are working on a solution.
