This saves me a ton of time, daily. #### Cons Nothing! In all honesty, Trainual is the easiest program we have used, and we have tried several, including Wiki and Guru. We ditched them all for Trainual! #### Reasons for switching to Trainual Guru pales in comparison. It's great that we can test our team members and track their progress with training. Trainual has solved the issue of having scattered documents because everything we need is centralized, and everyone uses the same information. It's fantastic being able to know who is engaging with the content. I appreciate the capacity to include presentations and YouTube videos, which was initially tricky but ultimately very useful. The platform also allowed us to update our training library with pre-recorded YouTube materials, making everything easily accessible. Overall, the training sessions were highly productive, and the setup was quite smooth. Our Team uses Trainual on a daily basis as it has the playbooks that our various Teams utilise for everything that they need to know or learn more about. I also love that you are able to share other department playbooks with everyone so that Teams have a clear overview of everyone's responsibilities and what is expected of them. Trainuals customer service and community is super helpful and I regularly find myself reading through what other people have posted to learn more about the features we have access to. They implementation Team is always looking for new ideas and very happy to take on suggestions from the users. #### Cons Sometimes the mobile app is a bit slow and it doesn't have all the features that the computer version has - we have a lot of Team members on the ground that use the mobile app and rely on it for information while on sites. #### Reasons for choosing Trainual Trainual's technology fitted very well with our tech as a Proptech company. Trainual has enabled us to do this in a way that engages our audience much more. It has received great feedback from our new hires during the onboarding process. #### Cons Although it's still a new feature, I've encountered some personal issues with uploading a video directly to Trainual for hosting. It will say it may take up to 10 minutes, but do not go anywhere. Its been an extremely great experience. I have had [sensitive content hidden] who have helped me get implemented on trainaul and then after implementation the follow ups have been great. Trainual is very user friendly and allows you to manage your employees training and onboarding in one place. The AI is a great feature to being able to ask a question and have the AI pull from all published content on Trainual is very useful and it even links where the employee can find the content. #### Cons Importing documents, require formatting. Somethings are harder to get on than others. Though I found some work arounds that make it easier. Content types you could create were limited, management of access & users was mediocre, and wasn't very helpful or easy for end-users. I can't think of a time where they rolled a new feature out that was lackluster or unhelpful. #### Cons I don't like how difficult it is to reset group progress on specific Topics, as well as some of the individual date tracking is lacking. It also provides a great way to get people to complete training before being eligible for raises and promotions. I like how I can track the progress of my team, and quiz them to ensure comprehension, as well as the different media I can implement to help drive home certain points. #### Cons The pricing model that does not include all of the features unless you pay the premium right off the bat. It takes a long time to get all of the systems into Trainual, and I am not able to release it right away to my team so I didnt want to pay the premium if they were not going to be able to access the features right away. I will probably upgrade to the premium later on and revamp my lessons, but I am a bit conflicted about having my team go through re-training at that point just to see some flashy new features that I would have liked to implement at the beginning. #### Reasons for choosing Trainual It seemed to be the best fit for our company and it was recommended by moving companies in another market that use it. #### Reasons for switching to Trainual Because of the ability to track and quiz applicants and team members and make a more user friendly portal for them. #### Vendor response Hi Wade! Trainual creates this foundation for best practices/playbooks so that the founders/leaders are not bottlenecks as "walking SOPs". Instead, we have one place that houses critical knowledge that is easily accessible by the team. Training can be consistent and documenting them makes us stronger in our processes which helps identify and solve issues quicker! #### Cons Quizzes show answers after first attempts, causing the quiz taker to copy the right answers instead of referring the content and committing it to memory before retaking. The user directory is a nice feature and would be even more powerful if admins could add additional fields, custom or standard (i.e. Phone #2/work phone, etc) #### Reasons for choosing Trainual I read [sensitive content hidden] book, Business Playbook. We absolutely love Trainual: as a company, a team, and a product. It has become the foundation of our company and the place that we are working so hard to get all of the information. As we build this plane while flying it, we appreciate how easy it is to write down what we are doing so it is easier next time. Prior to Trainual, sometimes I felt like MacGruber holding things together with a paperclip and a gum wrapper based on my memory or other team member's institutional knowledge and now we can capture it all, sometimes in the moment. We plan to be using Trainual indefinitely. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros There are many things that I like the most about this software that have to do with features, but I think the features would not be useful if the platform wasn't designed with a foundation of a solid understanding of how small businesses function and scale. So, to start with, I love the philosophy and approach of Trainual as a company and the team as humans. Trickling down from there, the platform is designed that way - it is clear it is flexibly designed, but kept intuitive, and thoughtfully updated with feature requests that have the greatest impact across their users. The organization of the content makes it easy to jump right in to get something created along with the template gallery helping to streamline it all. #### Cons I have two suggestions that are specific to how we use the platform, and I have submitted these are requests so I know they are in the hopper: 1) make the directory accessible through the mobile app. Often times when we hire new people, that is what we want them to be able to access and they are doing everything from their phones before they are in our workplace. 2) update the time stamping to track each time a subject/topic/step is completed for each employee. More Specifically, when you have to provide documentation to the department of labor for unemployment claims they may request evidence of the days/times that you asked someone to complete and then review a policy. In trainual, only the reviewed date is saved so you lose the evidence of the initial completion date. It makes onboarding and training quick, easy and less stressful. #### Cons The sections could use some flexibility for customizing for our company reference areas. SOP's vs. Policies vs. Training vs. Documentation. It gets confusing where to put all of the stuff. I also don't even know much about some of the features in the Trainual from this survey. Finally, if you want to become an absolute invaluable resource that we can NEVER live without, then assign a rep that we can work with to maximize and assess usage and direct us on how to manage, organize and leverage the tool. I would pay extra for a year or two of support/success service with an assigned rep that gets to know my business. #### Vendor response Hi Sonja! On the content organization customization side, you can actually rename the "Company", "Policies", and "Processes" sections to any names that make more sense for your business. To do that, go to "Account Settings" from the top navigation, and then scroll down to "Custom Terminology". From there, you'll be able to rename the Trainual terminology to anything you'd like. In regards to having your own representative, for Scale accounts that are over 50 users, we do assign those customers with a dedicated rep that is there to help you get set up for success.
