I don't think there is anything in particular that is wrong with it at this pricepoint and stated use.

Simple to implement, meaningful website insights for all those more interested in how their website is used rather than personal details about their visitors. A more pleasant experience for developers, website owners and visitors.

Refreshingly straightforward to implement, GDPR-compliant and informative, Simple Analytics allows website owners to obtain meaningful insight into their website usage while respecting their visitors' privacy. Not having to implement a cookie consent notice (for web analytics at least) is one less obstruction and also means that the analytics reflects a greater proportion of website visitors than with other cookie-based systems where data is only collected for consenting visitors. The statistics are also more readable than Google Analytics and easy to share with the website owner. The ability to include simpleanalytics from one's own domain to avoid ad-blocking is an added bonus.

Usage and implementation is very straightforward. To be clear, Simple Analytics cannot replace the full spectrum of more detailed analytics tools with integrated advertising conversions or purchasing funnels (though custom events can be tracked), but for the large numbers of users who just wish to gain general insight into the website usage, it's a perfect match.

In case of questions or ambiguities, the Simple Analytics team is always available to give a clear answer.

The tool is basic and very easy to use. As a result, it is not possible to analyse or collect data in detail.

Very good small team. Quick customer support. Easy to use software with very little learning curve. Just enough data to be useful without the headache of GA4.

Solid website analytics software that's simple to use, ease to implement, and most of all it respects the users privacy. Doesn't use cookies so less likely you'll require a cookie consent banner. Compared to GA4 it is less resource intensive so faster page load times which helps as a signal for SEO.

The team are working on releasing new features so the only con is that I am impatient for these.

Very nice to get insights in my website statistics, without "sponsoring" Google or Facebook or providing them with info about users. Besides that it saves a lot of time from staring at those GA stats. I have a professional view on my work, the content of my site is the most important thing to get visitors. Since I left Google Analytics and deleted Facebook, my website is still visited very good and I feel I have not lost any visitors. And no boring cookie message anymore!

No cons so far. I hope more people start to use Simple Analytics.

Having analytics on the website without all of the unnecessary tracking

The ability to track what you need to and easily understand business KPIs. Simple and easy to use interface and UI experience. Not having to put Cookies usage warnings on the site.

Less features than more robust analytics software. Lack of ability to better customize and create more visual ways to display data.

I don't think k that there's something like that, unfortunately, simple analitics needs few other features to be implemented, but they are working on them for sure, we are finding big updates in the platform from now and then!

Easy to use, support is quick (and often not needed - because it's very easy to use). Love the dark mode too - can't believe sites still don't have this as standard.

As Google Analytics requires user consent, we needed a consent-free analytics solution to measure our real traffic. Simple Analytics provides just that. It's super easy to set up including custom events and the API integration allows us to upload all data in our data warehouse and combine it with other KPIs in our custom dashboards.

I have no real complaints except that maybe the usability of the dashboard could be improved.

We had a small issue with some events initially not getting tracked, which turned out to be related to the document structure on our site. Simple Analytics' support was super responsive and worked with us to ready a fix on their side in record time, which was a great customer experience for us!

Cookieless analytics are not as powerful as their GA for example, but it's a good tradeoff to make for the added privacy.

It is the easiest to set up, privacy aware alternative for the big "tracking giants." I don't want to spy on my website's visitors, I just want to know they were there.

Privacy-first is the main reason we chose SA so it's reassuring to know we are capturing as much data as possible. I love the simple UI that is a welcome break from other analytics tools. Helps me to speed through my tasks without having to deep dive into docs. It's also really easy to develop locally using dev only scripts and overwriting the domain name. These features are very important to me in my day to day work.

One feature that is missing that would be useful to my job is more visitor data types that can be added to the dashboard. For example: the screen dimensions of visitors.
