Pointless waste of my life

No benefits - I am forced to use this products and given ANY other choice I would use a different product.

PROS

Nothing. The only reason we use this product is because one of our vendors requires it. I am grateful more vendors don't use Icontrol.

CONS

Set up is confusing and disjointed and watching videos is a waste of time and most of the invoices during this time extended had to be written off to bad debt because the vendor and Icontrol could never iron out the issues.. The fully automated lack of a live person is frustrating to no end. The process itself requires too much set up and not enough accountability on behalf of Icontrol. To process or search for an invoice/po/payment is not a logically condusive process to the lay-men but rather requires watching another video (wasting more time) to not often result in a correct answer. There is no 1 point of contact to explain an issue to and getting shipped from dept to dep once more wastes time. I cannot just train staff and trust they will be able to use this EFT platform as I can with ALL other EFT platforms, so I just take time out to do it myself.

Solid Alcohol ACH program

very positive. Before we had access the same process with lowes foods would take 45 minutes per day to process thei money orders, record the payment in quickbooks and post the payment. Now that can all be done in about 5-10 minutes.

PROS

Ease of use. The most commonly used features are front and center on the landing page and my every day users don't have to spend tons of time in antiquated menus. The reporting features on this system are very clean and easy to understand, which makes monthly reconciliation a breeze.

CONS

Some of the more complex rarely used tasks can be cumbersome, but as we use them VERY infrequently it makes it less impactful.

Brewery iControl Review

I do not like it and only do it when a customer I deliver to uses it and refuses to use an alternative like Fintech or COD.

PROS

I like that it sends me an email to confirm payment.

CONS

I do not like setting up new customers on it. I have to contact customer sertvice to help me. It is very difficult to look up part invoices. It is cumbersome to input invoice information.

I didn't, I have to use iControl for certain customers. If it were up to me, I wouldn't use iControl

An underrated platform that deserves more attention!

PROS

Once we received guidance on how to use the platform to it's full potential, we found that it was more useful than other platforms we had been using. With easy set-up for retailers, quick support and ease of payment processing, This platform is one that we will be recommending more in 2022 to our retailers.

CONS

We would love to see iControl develop a Bank Activity Report that lists daily transactions. We would also like to see an easier way to create an invoice on the platform should we run into user issues prior to submitting payment requests.

WBD iControl overview

Our payments are always on time now and it's less we have to chase down.

PROS

iControl is extremely easy to use and easy to navigate through. No problems with implementation at all.

CONS

I haven't found much i'm disappointed with. I'm sure we could utilize it more than we do, but, for what we do use it for it has worked perfectly.

PROS

Web interface is simple to use. Integrated with our software with no issues.

CONS

Editing invoices in their web portal is sometimes difficult. Invoice info does not fit on page and will not scroll horizontally.

Not My Favorite Beverage Payment Software

Would like to be able to call customer service directly.

IControl is an easy program, but not cost effective.

It's seemless and a great program, but we have to pay per invoice, and it was not our choice, we were forced to use it.

PROS

Paying per invoice is too expensive when we have an alternative, FREE plan we offer customers.

CONS

Paying so much per invoice. We offer an in house free alternative.

Poor. This software is a bad copy of Fintech.

PROS

The email confirmation is the only mildly useful feature.

CONS

The file submission format is time consuming and error prone. The website is uninformative.

We get on time payments from customers so that our delivery team doesn't have to wait for payment at the time of the delivery.

2022 Working Distributors Review

Overall, I am pleased with the whole system. It saves me time on a daily basis and is simple to navigate.

PROS

I like the ease of processing payments. It can be done quickly.

CONS

I do not like having to look up past invoices. I think trying to get the exact information I need can be confusing.

Using iControl for payments

For those customers who do choose this payment method, it has been very easy to use and there really haven't been any problems with the payment part, which is what I use weekly.

PROS

The ease of use, though I only visit the website to print out payment reports. Integration was easier than we expected.

CONS

What I am not sure about, is how to offer this service to our customers. Where would I direct them to get signed up? What is the procedure? How do I even tell customers about this payment method, I do not know where to direct them for sign up. Is the sign up procedure easy for both the new customer and for me?

iControl Software Review

I have always been able to get through to someone if I had an issue. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

PROS

Ease of use. It takes me 10 minutes tops each day to upload and download my invoices and payments. I can count on my hands how many times I have received errors during either that wasn't of my own making.

CONS

Reporting. I wish the reporting capabilities were more at your fingertips.

iControl software review

We've been "forced" to use this software after Lowes Foods switched to electronic payments a couple years ago, and while it's certainly better than having to wait around after a delivery for them to cut a money order at the Customer Service desk, there are tons of user interface improvements that seem like they'd be a simple addition to the software that would make things much easier.

PROS

It's faster than having to manually have checks written for payments, but otherwise, not a whole lot.

CONS

Would love to be able to easily import a CSV or exported report from Quickbooks, instead of having to manually create invoices one at a time. Not sure how that's not a feature available to all users.

Not great. Bugs when entering invoices that require exiting and searching for an incomplete invoice, no auto-fill for pre-entered UPCs or items, not able to edit an invoice after submission (within certain time frames).

Not terrible, but not great

It's okay.

PROS

quick processing, customer service is fairly quick

CONS

there is no option to review the file for errors before processing. And, since the account is assigned to one email address, if I have someone help out and process invoices, they have to wait until I forward the confirmation email.

Reason for choosing Alcohol Payments

One of our wholesale accounts switched over to iControl, so we had no option to but to use iControl if we wanted continue doing business with the account.
