Eventgrid is a cloud-based event registration and ticketing solution that helps users organize conferences, seminars, festivals, shows, forums and matches. Key features include event management, ticketing and payment modules.

Eventgrid supports the creation of customized online event registration pages, multiple types of tickets and pricing structures, discount codes and professional barcoded/iPhone passbook tickets. The solution helps users organize, manage and track events and attendees using its proprietary analytics tools, and it can create badges for registered attendees.

Eventgrid lets customers view seating layouts and select seats, sell event merchandise and receive and process online payments via Stripe, Authorize.Net or PayPal. It also helps users market events through email marketing, customer segmentation and customer relationship management (CRM), social media integration, embedded custom widgets and affiliate marketing.

Eventgrid can be accessed on mobile devices and supports iBeacon and Passbook integration to offer auto check-in facility. Support is offered via phone and email.

The Only Event Software You Need (and maybe the only one that exists)

Pros

I've worked for nonprofits, marketing companies, and co-work spaces who all use Eventbrite. It's a must use if you are going to accurately track your data and visitors for your events.

Cons

I'm not sure what else the platform does besides RSVPs. I'm guessing they have other functionalities to help event planners or a similar role, but I've never used the platform for anything else.

Great for Events!

I really like Eventbrite and find it's a useful tool in steering our clients to our events.

Pros

I love the statistics you can get out of it. Page views and rsvps are great to measure traction with your event. It allows you to see how well your event is being looked at. I also like that you can set up events to recur so you don't have to create an event each time.

Cons

I wish there were an option for no ticket sales. We host a webinar every month and invite our client via Eventbrite but when they RSVP they are always sent a "ticket." We don't ever collect the tickets since it's all online and it can get confusing but I haven't had anyone complain. It just would be nice if they could RSVP only.

Popular for Good Reason

I notice that all of the local events in my town use Eventbrite for their ticket sales -- they tend to be small music venues, dance nights, classes, workshops and similar.

Pros

I like that this software is so often used in my area for small events like little workshops to large scale events like music festivals. I like that it feels like your getting tickets to something more private in contrast to ticketing software that is so publicly viewed such as Ticketmaster. I like that this is software that any person can use to get work out about their event, it gives it a very "local" feel.

Cons

Given the nature of the local-feel, if you are simply pointed to the site because you have an event you want to go to and the link to tickets leads you there, its great. But I think as a standalone app, its not an excellent choice for browsing events as a lot of the ones that turn up are not narrowed down by interest as much as other apps in its category.

Pros

I like how you can link your event and make it easy to share. I like how the platform sends reminders, you can buy tickets, and it has directions ready for you.

Cons

Creating an event can be kind of tricky because its hard to replicate another event like other links that seem easy. Would be nice to have a template type of events. Using this platform was okay.

A one-stop shop to purchase (almost) all your tickets

Been using on and off through the years. Always a great experience.

Pros

I can purchase and RSVP to thousands (even millions?) of events through their site. But most importantly: I trust them. Having used some shady sites and getting scammed, Eventbrite is a breath of fresh air.

I like that I can add the event directly to my calendar too.

Cons

I find their mobile web experience a bit lacking. That's all I can think of.

Good way to gather attendees for your event

Pros

Eventbrite makes it easy to set up an event and sell tickets. Their fees are a bit more than if you accepted payments yourself, even through a credit card processing company, but overall, they're generally reasonable. Since Eventbrite is also searchable, it can expand your event's audience as well.

Cons

It isn't set up to create more complicated event ticketing, such as selling group tables at a charity gala. That's not really what it's intended for, though, so that's understandable.

Customer service is very lacking

Pros

It was inexpensive and mostly intuitive.

Cons

When I've had problems with my account it's been nearly impossible to get answers from a real person. When I finally do get a person, they don't listen to me or read my explanation of the issue I'm having. They've been condescending, sending me to the help page I already explained I'd read through and it didn't pertain to my situation. This last time, my entire account has disappeared and I've been trying for four days to get answers about it, but no one is responding to my request. Guess small businesses don't matter to them.

All in all it's good when you need it and doesn't seem to have too many troubles. Only drawback is you'll need multiple of the same type of app as there are other players in the space

It does not take a long time to load the app and there are no issues between the web/mobile experience.

Cons

The only con would be that I don't use it that often. There are other services offering similar products so it isn't used with all events.

Manages your events seamlessly!

Pros

Very simple to use!
No delay with confirmation emails and electronic tickets.
You can almost immediately download your e-ticket into your "wallet" with iOS

Cons

Easy for the bored person

I attended a few food and beer festivals on facebook that used eventbrite. No issues.

Pros

It was easy to scan facebook events and get tickets ahead of time for interests.

Cons

Best and easier tool to organize events

My overall experience with Eventbrite has been very good so far as everyone can use it and have an event set up in no time even for people who does not do the event planning as an everyday job

Pros

Organize events is not part our day jobs, we just do it occasionally and every time, it was a nightmare and a task no one from the team wanted to do as it was usually time consuming. Since we discovered Eventbrite, it has become very easy and we get our events organized in less than half of the time.
The Interface is very straightforward so you can set up an event in just a few minutes and also manage all the ticketing/registration data in one place.

Cons

For free events it works perfect for us but when it comes to paid events, fees can be very high
Less important, but other point that can be improved are the customization options (font/colour)as at the moment they are very reduced which make the presentation of the events to look very similar one after the other
