First, it was the connection with the sales manager. Then, i received the training and still the attention to answer all my questions. The software is very friendly user. One of the things that my customer's like is the steps when booking their vehicle. From step 1 to Step 7 when picking up their vehicle. The email they receive once booked. Also, the different language available to provide better understanding when booking,.

I think when integrating additional insurance and the rental charge. Two different transactions, and the confusion that creates when customer gets charged, and also the money not being sent to the correct account.

I used to use Rentcentric before , it has really good maintenance dashboard to use for repairs , but HQ software does not provide it , you will never know when you need maintenance. Thats make to many bad feedbacks from customers , you rent car with maintenance light on and its not good for company. Almost 5 month I am using this system , they haven’t fix this issue , I believe they don’t even understand that how works

Excellent service all around, no pushy sales tactics and very helpful. Support is very quick and responsive. Our first two support tickets were cleared within 1-2 hours for a low priority request.

We can everything and anything that we set out to do in this software from reservations to reporting and management.

It is complicated to set up on your own but they offer excellent support if you want to have them do everything for you. They also have an amazing documentation for set up to assist you. Barely a con.

I switched to HQ from a different car rental software that was more expensive and far less flexible. I have been so happy with HQ so far. Between the price (half of what I was paying before) and the functionality of the system, my work load has gone down and my rentals have gone up as the booking engine is better and it is easier for guests to book.

This software has fantastic funtionality. It can do everything needed for a well run car rental business, including a great online booking engine. I especially love the ease for the customer to book online and how it captures all the info I need from them. The system allows for near endless tweaks meaning I can set it up exactly how I want, including sending scheduled email and sms messages. This has been great for my car rental business as all of my vehicles are remote pick up so I have particular needs. Great Customer support.

Becuase the system can be so personally optimized, it is a big software. It takes time to learn. Out of all the softwares I have set up, this has probably taken me the longest to learn and remember where all the settings are. It does have a decent Help section which helps, but I think it could be improved for those who like to learn and do the set up themselves. Customer Support is extremely helpful and quick to respond though.

Once you adapt your self to the software you start to get the most of it. It becomes very helpful and let you add any time more options and integrations

The merchant partnership is good. However in this business when you process security deposits you must be able to capture higher amounts than authorized because of damages, fines, penalties, etc. Stripe does not give you that option so it's kind of frustrating and you might have to go with another merchant brand.

Overall the support and responses have been top notch from HQRS and we've enjoyed the product and would recommend it!

Sooooo many cool features. Too many to name here. I'm STILL discovering more! I love the ability to make reservations outside of the normal website. This helps me make reservations in person. I love the ability to add car maintenance and schedules. I like that there are payment integration options and email automations. This is definitely more than I even could've imagined. VERY user friendly and the help along the way is wonderful! My business has been much more profitable with this software!!!

It's hard to say what I like least. I suppose I will say the fact that I had to do my own integration for my website since it wasn't one they were able to do for me. However, they still offered step by step assistance with adding the snippets of code to my site. I did it myself, but it was pretty straight forward. I'm no engineer or developer and it was easy enough for me to understand.

HQ software is specifically made for car rental. I was using Checkfront and I was happy, but the additional features on HQ were critical. I was using a workaround to document mileage, inspection photos, etc.. With HQ, all of that critical info is part of the standard process and it’s documented on the contract. The app is great and streamlines the pick up/return process.

Additional percentage fee for using Stripe.No option for people to purchase gift certificates. Probably not used for most rental companies, but I need it for exotic rentals being purchased as gifts.

There are a lot of things that like to us. First, is a solution tailored for rent a car niche, and really fits all our needs and more. The help desk team is great, ALWAYS answer to our requests and ALWAYS there is a solution for our needs, and in our native language, spanish. There is a great iphone app that we use for our daily job and is highly customizable. In only 1 week the solution was really adapted to our needs!. Is stable, reliable and the price is fair.

There are not major problems at all. Of course all can be improved, like the iphone app with more features, but until today fits our needs.

The price for the credits. Some how when setting up this account I asked for it to be just like my other account and still some how used all my credits I purchased over $500 and now I have none. But I worked on the platform before needing help and said I need exactly like my other. It was still not exact so I’m tweaking on my own.

HQ has automated and standardized so many of our daily tasks. As the company owner it is now much easier for me to delegate tasks to our employees. And with the management dashboards I can monitor how the business is doing.

We offer short term and long term car rentals so a lot of the software solutions that we were comparing did not include all the features that we needed. With HQ we can easily manage both. One of the most important features for long term rentals are the payment schedules. Now that we have this up and running it's going to save us so much time and headaches down the road. We also really like the fact that our customers can sign for the Rental Agreement on a tablet device and then we send a copy by email, so we've stopped printing!

The number of settings was a little overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it and the system is configured you understand how much power there is in the settings.

It made easier the day to day activities for us, particularly when signing contracts and making some processes more efficient. The only desired feature I can think of is the improvement of the app, since we know it wont be exactly as the PC site, some features in the app could be improved.

I do like the calendar feature the most and the customer service. With the calendar I can see my fleet and manage it real easy from there. If by any chance I'm stuck then the costumer service on the web page it's fast and polite.

I was referred by my IT guy because I needed most of the features that your system offers. Also I was in need of an app that my clients could handle, to process their rental quick and easy. All I could say is that the app is nothing I was expecting and on top of that I will have to pay somebody else to make me an app and then try to sync it with your software. We performed due diligence on over 4 companies that provided rental software solutions and we selected HQ Rental because of its flexibility, depth of features and most importantly, its customer-centric support model. Their nimble software product combined with their attentive support and deep on-line knowledge base allowed us to bring our offering to market with minimal stress and complication. Once implemented, the use of reporting and dashboards, the flexibility tying into payment processors and accounting software to name a couple of their integrations, has allowed for us to make our rental business operational and manageable.

If I had to choose something to note as least likable, it would be the process required to fine tune forms. By no means a deal breaker, just know that this is where I would like to see some enhancements with future versions of this fantastic product.

In the beginning it was a time phase to get used to the system. But when we found all items, the pieces of the puzzle fell in place. No Freshbooks accounting software integration yet.
