Has met all of my needs and so much more!!!

Prior to Rose for Square, we did all of our account management via excel spreadsheets and balances were figured at the end of the month by hand. We have been using Square to process all of our credit cards and an old register to process our sales. We love Square and did not want to leave it, but there was nothing that seem geared toward consignment that integrated with Square. Rose has solved those problems and we are able to now use Square for all sales, which gives us a better picture of our business. We also no longer have to maintain our account balances at the end of each month manually. This has saved us many hours if not a couple days of work that we can now dedicate to growing the business. The support that we have gotten for the software from our executive has been phenomenal and I could not ask for a more engaged and eager person to work with to improve the product. He is very open to suggestions and has many future improvements that are being added all the time. If you are looking for a program to meet the needs of your consignment business, then I would highly recommend this system!!

I love the integration with Square, and the ability to process non inventoried items sold via Square.

CONS

This software has met all of our needs and has not disappointed.

Promising - but be prepared for development pains

If I say it is wonderful that is clearly the Stockholm Syndrome effect. I think it is heading in the right place and hope for better printer and report interfaces, but get the feeling the development staff is a limited pool of personnel and he is deeply involved in other aspects of the program as well as life in general.

PROS

It is a known price with a relatively low bar for entry and it is scalable for starting up a consignment store.

CONS

Development is ongoing, showing up mostly in printer interface for the one printer on the planet approved for use - an out-of-production model Dymo brand thermal - which is capable yet the interface is downright arcane. Between this and the program's reluctance to allow me to cycle reports that are meaningful to myself, my accountant, and my consignors without screen scavenging and "Paste Special" tricks in my spreadsheet program, I am glad it manages consignor splits, taxes, fees, and inventory fairly well.

The best solution for consignment sales and inventory

"Sensational" best describes the service and commitment of this company.

PROS

We inherited a disaster of a consignment business. The Rose developer worked tirelessly with us in a patient and professional manner. We couldn't be happier with the ease of input of stock, inventory control, and integration with Square for Retail. And most of all, the support is always available: very understanding, dedicated, and trustworthy staff at Rose. Our vendors love the ability to view their accounts online 24/7. We are the only outlet that offers that feature for our vendors- Thanks Rose!

CONS

Wow. Nothing to report in a negative way. We only wish every provider could emulate the high quality of service and product that we've experienced with Rose for Consignment.

We wanted to abandon the ancient POS and inventory system we were using and experience a dedicated program for consignment with incredible support.

I really wanted this to work

It doesn't do what it says it will do.

PROS

I was excited about the integration with Square POS and inventory. The interfaces seemed smoother than square's inventory item input. (It has not worked at all) It was supposed to be a time saver. I liked that the designer gave me a walk through. Customer Service is the most important thing, but you have to do it, not just say it.

CONS

I am on the free trial. I have sent emails for a week with no response. I haven't been able to use the program at all because the software doesn't save or just spins out. I have a video of me trying to make anything work for over 5 minutes. There is no information from the company, no answers to emails. If you give someone a limited free trial, you have to communicate. I noticed red flags, and these are huge. Beware! I can deal with a program that has some lags occasionally. This has been for days with zero communication. I am a small business that needs to be able trust the software that I am using, or it will hurt my credibility. I am very sad that this didn't work, I believed it would do what it said int the advertisement. I now have to start over.

User friendly, great for new or veteran consignment businesses

I have had a great experience with this product and have and will continue to recommend this product.

PROS

I absolutely love this product. After shopping around I decided Rose was the program for us. The tech support is excellent. The product is easy to navigate.

CONS

The isn't really anything I don't like, I just wish I was able to transfer ownership of expired items more easily rather than have to go into each item and manually change ownership. Also before you post sales I wish there was a way to know if the sold item is expired and be able to deposited the funds into the store account.

Saved our consignment business!

I am very happy with our overall experience with ROSE. It has made running our business so much simpler and I am very thankful to have found it.

PROS

Without ROSE for Square we would not be starting our fifth year running a successful consignment business. It made the process of tracking our consignors and inventory so easy and efficient, which is critical to our business. The helpful "how to " video clips and support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT] made it simple to get started. Also, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team our always available if we are having an issue. We are so thankful that we found ROSE and would HIGHLY recommend it!

CONS

Lately it seems that it is taking longer for the pages to load and it freezes quite a bit, which can be frustrating. I would like it if you could create a take-in using the consignors last name instead of the number. For instance, when I am creating a take- in, I usually will have to look up the consignors account first to obtain their number before I can create their take-in, which wastes time because it's an extra step.

Rose for consignment

Overall it’s been a lifesaver for our business and has really contributed to the success of being able to offer consignment.

PROS

We are a new business and the program allowed us to venture into consignment with low stress. It allows us to add, subtract, and alter consignors and their inventory with ease. The customer service is quick and helpful. We have not yet tapped into all the amazing features it has to offer us! Can’t wait to explore those options more this year.

CONS

The only issues we’ve encountered really were from being new to the system and not knowing it well. We do not have consignor access option, so when consignors as for their payout report, we need to remember to send it to them before we pay it out or it all gets lumped together with the rest of their paid out inventory or a list of everyone’s paid out inventory. But I don’t really see this as an issue with the system, more if just the way we’re using it.

Thrifted Bliss Consignment - Westfield, WI Review for Rose

Business problems we solved with Rose for Square are providing a detailed report of items taken it from the consignor, creating a detailed label for their take in, having a portal for the consignor to check their balance, less time doing paperwork manually keeping track of their balances. This software saved my life.

PROS

What I like most about this software is that it's very easy to use. I love the simplicity of it. It was easy to get switch from my own labeling system to this one. It has all the information I've needed thus far and could always add more.

CONS

The thing I like the least is how many times I have to re log in due to inactivity. I understand the security purpose of it just wondering if that could be changed? I also wish the sales reports would automatically remove themselves once "complete batch post" was clicked.

A great product that has transformed my business

It's been a great software that is easy to use and reliable. Hopefully they will find a way to integrate with Shopify so that I can keep this service.

PROS

I love the level of customer service. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his team are easy to get in contact with and they always solve this issues in a timely manner.

CONS

I wish that it integrated with Shopify. Square's ecommerce option is sub-par compared to Shopify, but since we use Square as out POS it makes keeping track of sold inventory difficult.

The monthly cost of just having a Shopify POS was way too much for me at the time. As a small business owner every dollar counts especially in the beginning stages. The customer service at Rose for Square will always trump Shopify.

Rose is #1 for consignment

I recommend Rose to anyone that is looking for customer management software.

PROS

I love using g Rose Consignor Connect because it easily integrates with Square, which I've used for years, making it easy to navigate one of the most important parts of my business.... the money.

CONS

I think the overall layout of the program is a bit outdated looking, but it functions on a high capacity, so it's not that big of a deal.

Reasons for switching to Rose for Square

Because they couldn't provide consignment management even after assuring me they could. Their customer service was horrendous.

Exceptional Software and Exceptional Customer Service

Fantastic! You will not be disappointed

PROS

After having a horrific experience with another POS system we switched over to Rose Consignment. We cannot rave enough about the ease of use of the system and the customer service! Although the issue is always on our end (user error) our Customer Representative, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], takes, with no exaggeration, no longer then 5 minutes to get back to us! He gives a solutions that are easily understood by us non-techy types. The videos attached are spot on. The vendors love the fact they have up to date knowledge on their inventories. Wonderful software and wonderful customer care and support!

CONS

Our only complaint is that we did not select them first!

Reasons for switching to Rose for Square

The system was as old as the antiques we sold. Constantly went down. The only way to make fixes was to have them take over our computer which could only happen at night as software/pos was computer based so going in meant shutting down our register. Would open in the morning and the issue would be fixed but fixing it created another so the process started all over again.

Rose is the Best

We are managing our inventory and consignors exponentially easier with Rose than any other system we have found. It is the perfect fit for our small consignment store.

PROS

We continually receive comments from our consigners that they love the consignor portal - we love that Rose tracks everything for us and makes it so easy to input items and manage our inventory!

CONS

It's not the sleekest of software, but it doesn't need to be. It is functional for what we need. There does not seem to be an easy way to import photos of items and integrate that with our POS but we could just need to study it further.

I love the ease of this product. We have a very strange consignment situation and it make life and buisness very smooth and fits right in with square.

CONS

There are certain features that are difficult. If anything is touched in rose inventory it is immediately wiped off our website. The toggles don't work which means more clicking around when i do payouts.

Great for my business

Very good! Tech support is very prompt. I’m thankful I found this software when I was starting my business.

PROS

Ability to print labels. That it is compatible with SquareFind contacts and inventory fast.

CONS

Having to sign in multiple times a day The price drop down is too sensitive. No need for it. Credit card fees are not shown in payout reports.

Great for having multiple artisans

It has been a time saver on figuring out monthly payouts to artisans and not having to input all their inventory for them.

PROS

This is a relatively easy-to-use software that integrates well with square. It is nice to give artisans a way to track their daily sales on their own and input their own inventory.

CONS

It would be nice to be able to enter your own skus/upcs as well as identify returns/exchanges.

Rose works great for my little shop!

Time’s Tin Cup Vintage is a multi-channel business offering consignment, wholesale gift items, online sales through our Etsy shop and rented vendor space. Consignor Connect finally has created a system that integrates with Square POS that allows me to keep track (with very little effort) of all my tracking, reporting and payout needs. LOVE IT!

PROS

Integration with Square's POS. Easy reporting for paying out consignors.

CONS

While they don't have Etsy integration yet, I am confident in their ability to add it as they have always been very responsive to my needs and feature requests.

Great software if the majority of your inventory is Consignment

The software is relatively new and for the most part is fairly easy to use and somewhat intuitive. Setting up the printer was probably the most challenging part. The customer service is however top notch! Rose is very good about responding quickly to questions and provides direction and assistance in a manner which easy to understand and he has always shown a great deal of patience, which is greatly appreciated.

PROS

The best feature about Rose is that your consignors can enter their inventory themselves and they can track their sales. Also, I love that it works directly with Square.

CONS

In order for consignors to see their sales, there is an additional step of batching each days sales and sometimes it can take me several days or even a week to do this as time permits. Also, I only have a handful of consignors at the moment. The software is really best for stores that have mostly consignors or at least 50% of the merchandise coming from consignors.

Very Satisfied Customer

PROS

The thing that I like most about Rose is how easy it is for my vendors to use. I have over sixty different vendors all selling their products in my store, and all of them have had absolutely no issues with Rose. That is very important to me. It is also really easy to deduct rent right from their sales, and keep track of who is selling the most, and who might need to change their display, or bring in new items. Keeping over 60 people happy is not easy, and Rose has done this successfully for me!!

CONS

One of the things that I do not like is that I cannot pay my vendors through Square. Most of them have Square accounts, so it would be so much easier if I could just transfer the money over electronically. I know it is in the process of happening, so I look forward to the release of that function.

Rose works very well with square!

My review of Rose consignment software for Square

PROS

Where do I begin? Let me start with their OUTSTANDING customer support. They are fast at responding, patient as they walk you thru solutions ( teach you as they do) and truly know their product features. Probably the most outstanding service I have received from any vendor. As for the software itself- OUTSTANDING! I feel like I could not run my shop without this software (and their support). It provides me with all the necessary features I need to make the shop run smoothly, informed and convenient. My consignors love it because it gives them access to their account 24/7.. and it saves me from having to answer phone calls about account info. It is right there for each client. I truly cant speak highly enough about Rose by Consignor Connect.

Works wonderful but FREQUENTLY goes down

For the money per month, it is not worth the trouble of attempting to add inventory and the site goes down. When attempting to complete vendor payouts, the site frequently goes out at least once. I am looking at other consignor software currently. Totally disappointing but the customer service is wonderful.

The website FREQUENTLY goes down, either for maintenance or other unknown reasons
