A Game Changer for ISP Companies

At Upper, efficiency is not just a promise; it's a reality. One of the standout features we appreciated the most about Upper was its ability to streamline our technician's routes, making them more efficient than ever before. As an Internet Service Provider (ISP), our needs are unique, requiring a solution that can adapt on the fly. With Upper, we found just that. Gone are the days of haphazardly planned service calls. Upper allows us to import addresses needing service and then optimizes the route based on our specific settings. The result? A significant increase in the number of service calls we can handle in a day. Before Upper, we were limited to 2-3 service calls a day. Now, thanks to Upper's route optimization capabilities, we can efficiently manage 7-12 service calls daily.This transformation has not only boosted our productivity but also enhanced our customer satisfaction levels. In a competitive industry where time is of the essence, Upper has become an invaluable tool for us. Its customization options and route optimization functionality have made it an indispensable part of our operations.

CONS

After encountering an issue with the SMS alerts, we reached out to Upper for assistance. Their prompt response and effective resolution not only fixed the issue but also improved the functionality beyond our expectations. As of now, I cannot identify any drawbacks of using Upper.

Upper works for us

It’s worked well for my small company in planning and effectively assigning routes.

For the price it can’t get much better

PROS

It works well for the most part, the features of photos, notes and time logging stops is wonderful.

CONS

Sometimes it randomly changes routes and it’s not efficient at all and makes no sense why there was a change when no stops have changed. It also doesn’t always show the address properly and takes us to an entirely wrong area.

Upper is the only one that has photo, notes and optimization that wasn’t hundreds of dollars per month.

Easy to use. Extreme time saver. App operates quickly.

Overall very impressed. My only request would be the size of the buttons and the clickable area on the buttons could be larger so it doesn't have to be so precise when going through the route. happy to explain further if you're interested.

PROS

We love that it is easy to set up, optimize and modify the routes. If a job is for some reason in the wrong spot you can move it on the map to resolve the situation. We use the duplicate route feature constantly. Once our routes are set up, its set for the season. The tech support is extremely responsive and answers questions in a manner that is very simple to follow and understand. We only use the service for the winter seasons, and is still affordable for the year.

CONS

I wish you could undo a delivery status to put it back on the route. (I have check complete by accident by double tapping) Would be nice to integrate with geocoding. we are clearing snow from driveways and are going on and off of a property until the driveway is clear. Would be nice if the time on site was automatically started the first time you cross the geofence and stop after the last time you cross, automatically setting you up for the next property. (Followsoft does this).

Sold Characteristics that were then removed without notice

PROS

Inexpensive. That was the main selling point compared to other softwares.

CONS

I do not like that when we started we were able to text our clients with a time window for delivery, and then, all of a sudden, without any notice at all, UPPER removed this functionality unless we paid more money. I find this dishonest.

The pricing was the best for us, we are a small compnay and do not have a budget for 400 euros + a month.

Upper Route Planner: Efficiency Redefined

PROS

What I like the most about Upper is how easy it is for me to use. It has been of a lot of help to me and when teaching the drivers how to use it, it is easy for them to understand.

CONS

There are some features that need some improvement. For example: when the information of a client is saved, the phone number always has to be updated because the number does not get saved in the right format.

Overall Great Product

My biggest beef with the app is not being able to resort stops when a new stop is added after the route has been saved.

Decent app to plan routes

I love that you’re able to upload a CSV file or a spreadsheet if you have multiple stops

Great Service, Easy to Implement

Great.

PROS

I liked that there were no extra setup costs, their route planner took the excel sheets I used before and made upload seemless. The responsive customer service is helpful.

CONS

Learning a new software can have a learning curve that is always challenging. Which ever solution I would have chosen, learning the new system the first few times is a challenge. But the customer service walked me through each step and even came for a site visit to show us tips to setup properly

Highly Recommend Upper Routing Software

Our biggest hurdle is missing data which doesn't happen often and it can be due to older cell phones, poor signal strength, etc, but beyond this issue, Upper has continued to add features to make it one of the best driver software apps out there. Our customers want POD an Upper provides this with up to 5 photos!

Helpful with our needs.

Hoping to see some QOL improvements down the line but for now it's doing what we need it to do - plus the customer service is very attentive and helpful!

PROS

Route plans look great, routing itself works well for us automatically 90% of the time.

CONS

Routing choices can be odd and need to be fixed manually by us, and not having a more thorough combination of both stops AND contacts would be incredibly helpful and time saving.

Review On Upper Route Optimization

It has been great so far. If things change I will update the review.

PROS

Things we liked are the route optimization, being able to send email and text notifications to all our stops on the list.

CONS

The support could be a little better than just a chat window, but overall they helped with everything and any issues we had were solved.

Reasons for switching to Upper

Route 4 me was much more expensive than Upper. It did have a couple features we liked, but overall the savings out weighed the features we lost.

Up and coming product

Overall, it was a nice service to use and very functional for routing. We would have kept it but it was not compatible at the time to integrate with our other programs.

It was very nice to be able to digitize our route. We went from everything on paper to using this service. What an improvement!

Lacks the ability to put in an address and locate a route nearest to the address entered. Lacks the ability to drag and drop a location from one route to the other.
