In addition, I feel their program allows us to manage our contracts, stay on top of deadlines, and run reports needed to be successful. Since implementation, we have been able to ensure both locations have the most up to date documents on hand in the portal's document repository. We also solved the need for a shared calendar for all staff with the portal. Creating, editing and maintaining the framework is really easy and help is available anytime we need it. #### Cons One of the pros can be a con if you aren't sure of your vision for your site. Though the system is really easy to use it does have a lot of complexity to it to be able to offer the extent of the customization options. Learning about all it can do is perhaps for people smarter than me! We switched from Sharepoint because of the administrative overhead. #### Cons The lack of features compared to Sharepoint. We have also been able to put our entire Procedures Manual on our intranet. This has allowed us to save on paper for printing such a large document. I think the freedom to customize the entire intranet is what I like best. Having a lot of control to move things, create things, change colors, etc. means that we can create an intranet to fit the needs of our company. #### Cons The biggest con I have about OnSemble is that you really need to understand HTML codes to be able to do a lot of cool and up-to-date things. We had a communication problem because of Geographic Locations and this helps have one central hub. It has been relatively easy to use and with the new upgrade the Island has improved even more! The directory has also been helpful and we use the recognition island to promote our "One Team" mantra! #### Cons Sometimes the specs and layout options of the portal can be difficult. Either the specs aren't listed so it is a guessing game as to how big a picture should be or, let's say, the announcement island get's larger because of numerous announcements, then there becomes blank space next to it. The pages don't shift automatically to fit the changes in the announcement island sizes or anniversary/birthday island sizes. (if that makes sense). So there can just be some funky layouts. I also wish there was an option to have tabbed or colored announcements from different departments under 1 announcement island. #### Reasons for choosing Ncontracts OnSemble was organized in their presentation, friendly, had answers to all questions, and were confident in their ability to create a great central hub for our team members. #### Reasons for switching to Ncontracts We needed something with more capability and functionality. It is safe to say, I feel a lot more comfortable now than I did 2 years ago. Something may break, but tech support does an amazing job of reaching out and resolving it for you. If the problem cannot be resolved through email, they have no issue with hopping on a call with you to resolve it. #### Cons We are not on the most updated version right now. However, going forward I feel that the portal could use a more modern look to it. The OnSemble support team is absolutely excellent. Their response times are usually same day, and everyone is friendly and helpful above and beyond the minimum to get the customer off the phone and out of their hair. When you pair that wonderful support experience with the functionality and flexibility of their actual software product, no other intranet I've experienced compares. Our portal allows us to create a website-like experience for our users, increasing engagement and giving us a better ROI than other options I've used in the past. #### Cons This is something that their developers are working to upgrade, but many of the modules have aspects that look a little outdated design-wise or don't have the ability to customize colors and fonts the way I'd like in an ideal world. The user set-up, workgroup access, and island options have really helped us to increase our communication between locations and to engage our employees. What I love most is that our portal gives a landing page for our staff to come together, share information, resources, and feel connected. #### Cons I think some of the islands and features are still a little clunky and some of the designs look a little out-dated. It would be great of the site was more responsive to different devices, and if there was a mobile option for both iphone and Android. We'd also like to see improvements made for document sorting/display on list islands. It's all funky. Some of it's funkier than others, and I would say OnSemble is an acceptable level of funkiness. What REALLY makes the difference is your Customer Support Manager and the tech support team. They are good, kind people who truly want to make the product work for you. They work so hard to make you happy and they are a joy to go through this beast of a project with. That's why I would choose OnSemble again. This is my 4th intranet relaunch project, so I know what I'm talking about. #### Cons Some modules are built in a way that doesn't make sense from a user or author perspective, and you have to do some workarounds to get them to work "normal." I would recommend Ncontracts to anyone. Nvendor and Ncontracts are very easy to use and can utilized as much or as little as you like and still be extremely effective. We love having all of our vendor information and due diligence in one easy place that all contract administrators have access to. Any vendor updates flow over to our Business Continuity Plan in Ncontinuity, so our BCP always has the most recent vendor contact information. We upload an employee data report monthly, so the BCP is always current with our call lists and crisis teams. We absolutely love the executive critical vendor summaries in Nvendor, most especially the SOC Report summaries. We start with those summaries and add our CUEC responses. Auditors and regulators love them! #### Cons Our least favorite feature of Ncontinuity is the difficulty of updating our information and then printing the final Business Continuity Plan.
