Housecall Pro is a cloud-based field service management app for service professionals to automate their workflows. This solution includes a native mobile app and complementary web portal and serves a wide range of industries, such as cleaning, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and more.

Housecall Pro allows companies to forego paperwork in favor of digital automation. It offers features such as job scheduling, dispatching, payment processing, estimates, automated receipts and invoices, customer notifications, company chat, as well as postcard and email marketing automation.

Customers can book services via the HouseCall mobile app, communicate through a centralized messaging system and make online payments.

The mobile app can be accessed on both Android and iOS devices. There is a free version for single owner/operators, which offers many of the core features of the paid version. Premium pricing is based on the number of users, and an enterprise license is also available.

This solution is available across the U.S. and Canada.

    Excellent I'm enjoying using House Call Pro

    Pros

    I had some questions about getting started with Online Booking and the issues were resolved with just a few chat messages. The staff is always right there to help and their assistance is always friendly and efficient. Very happy with the experience of using this software.

    Cons

    There is a learning curve as with anything new so the Cons are very minimal

    We have use HouseCall Pro for the past year and a half and it has made life a lot easier for the office personnel scheduling the jobs as well as workers out in the field.

    Pros

    Very user friendly and the compatibility with QuickBooks makes the operational end of the business run smooth.

    Cons

    I would like to see more add on features available to the program that would suit construction industry business, like an option to monitor and control service contracts.

    Great experience. Easy to use. Allowed us to use 3 employees to handle the tasks of about 8 employees with ease. Love the ability to schedule appointments, take payments, auto invoice, run reports. Top notch system that can be adapted for many different industries. Customer support and training was great. Highly recommended.

    Awesome software. Makes a small business appear to be large scale. Allows customers to experience professionalism without costing the business owner to much money

    Cons

    The app was great but didn’t offer the same functionality as you get with the desktop version of the software.

    systematic, with a great way to follow up on scheduled jobs

    Cons

    A bit tedious. For example, in order to remove an unscheduled job from the unscheduled job list without losing the information contained on the job, the only option I can figure out is to schedule and complete the job. Being a former employee had close to 300 unscheduled jobs (that were actually jobs finished long ago, yet not registered through HouseCall Pro), cleaning up the unscheduled jobs folder without deleting the vital information (model numbers, serial numbers, etc) will be quite a time consuming task...

    The demo was very well done. Our contact for HouseCall Pro, was well versed and conducted the demo very well. We also had both e-mail and telephone follow-up support.

    Pros

    Scheduling for one individual or for a crew is easy. TYhe "dashboard" is easy to understand and having an information portal to find a means to solve a problem meant that I did not require the live chat portal for tech support.

    Cons

    If the job requires participants arriving at the site at different times the late arrivals cannot log into the job. One has to add segments to the original job with individual workers assigned their individual segments for the job. The capturing of time on-site requires adding each segment to arrive at total time on-site.

    This allows us to get rid of two cost components and save money at the same time. The customer service has been excellent as well.

    Very robust and easy to use. Simplistic in design and integrateable with apple products or droids.

    It has seriously enabled us to grow our business sooo much faster!

    Cons

    Some extra features I’d like to see is: a way to sign waivers on the app it’s self and save them to the customers information. And a way to report how long you think the job will be back to dispatch so they can potentially rearrange routes.

    It’s basically a cloud-based field service management system that assists managers to schedule their tasks, send auto-reminders to their staffs regarding the pending and upcoming work with the task checklists. It also provides you real-time updates about their location. You can control all your employees from your mobile or from a remote location. The application has a Customer database, and you can confirm if a delivery is successfully done, or if transactions are done by field staffs by enabling response from respective clients. It has even helped us with the process of technician dispatch and online payment processing.

    Cons

    Provides only limited customization. You can only check out the completed tasks, it is difficult to track the progress of tasks. During the time of invoicing, the credit card option could only be turned off by using desktop version and not by the mobile version, and this mobile application lacks in functionalities when being compared to the desktop version. The reporting features aren't up to the mark. In the case of single estimates, we have experienced a few glitches that have created duplication of invoices.

    I have been making home service calls for 35 years. I started scheduling with a land phone line and blue 3x5 cards. I have adopted new technology along the way. ( computers, cell phones, texting, email and database software.) This upgrade is bringing modern tools into my business. It is a technology makeover. It is taking an effort for and old guy like me but I am feeling so much better about how I go about getting me in front of a project in a customers home. There are a ton of benefits. So many benefits in fact that the low monthly cost is truly inconsequential.

    Pros

    Customer notification when I’m on my way.
    Invoice and sending receipts by email or text.
    Sending quotes by email and linked to customer.

    Cons

    The app only works in portrait mode when on the iPad.
    If integrated with Quickbooks online I have to mark invoices paid on both apps when payment is not COD.

    interface of technician out in the field with customers

    We work with a lot of Parent companies that we invoice and process invoices with, but the initial contact sheet info is built for customer info. There is no separate area for the billing info to also reflect the email, name and phone number for the Parent company. We can have several different designers at a parent company where we need the designer's contact info for each respective customer.

    I've had a really great experience so far!

    Pros

    HouseCall is really convenient and the best part is that it has a lot of functionality. It combines a lot of business programs into one software. You cans schedule meetings, manage customer base, etc.

    Cons

    As many things, to really enjoy the software, you'll need time to get used to it. But overall, it's perfect and does what it's meant to do.

    Very nice customer service. Pretty easy to use. I have little to no computer skills and I am figuring it out pretty quick.

    it is pretty easy to use. And it is a simple program. Enough options but not overwhelmed

    Too soon to tell. I havent set it all up yet. We are in our busy season. It took longer to find a program than I expected. I work on it a little every night. I hope to have it up and running soon.

    App is freeing up lots of time. I used to spend time entering information on a written ticket, then again in QuickBooks, then entering payments as they came in. Now I enter it once when I schedule the job. Awesome!

    The learning curve is taking me a little bit to master but I think I'll be a wiz pretty soon.
