Those picking up our students are easily identifiable and we can ensure we are sending students home with whom they are supposed to go home with. Parents enjoy the notifications they receive when their student is picked up. The teachers and staff enjoy the fact that we are no longer using paper and pencil and that the person picking up and the time of pick up is automatically recorded rather than having to check what time it is and record it manually. #### Cons We are still exploring the capabilities of PikMyKid, but it would be nice to see more integration with the FACTS system. We were having software issues with our last dismissal enhancement system provider. I had several phone calls from parents that had a hard time. The team implementing the system here was always coming to me with issues as well. I looked at several different options. The entire process of contacting, deciding to go with Pikmykid, and implementing Pikmykid has been seamless and I wish I would have switched sooner. They are leaving their bets parts alone and innovating where no one else is. I was tasked with implementing a dismissal program my first year as an administrator, as the current format saw too many student near misses in the parking lot. PikMyKid has helped create a clear routine and procedure for dismissal that is easy to follow and also places ownership back on the families as well. Parents are responsible for delegating or updating their child's dismissal mode, if the parent does not update the mode, we will send the student on their designate mode of transportation so that we are able to facilitate a smooth process. Teachers rely on the dismissal progress to know when to send our car riders to the front. Parents rely on the app to get through the pick up line quickly and efficiently. Students know to look for their names on the teachers' screens to move to the front for dismissal. It is a great program! #### Cons I wish that Pikmykid allowed parents to change from one bus to another, but I understand that the bus drivers need to have a written note of transportation changes. I also wish that parents would update when the student is with the non-custodial parent. Parents are able to change their student's dismissal and teachers are able to see it right away. With PikmyKid students are not waiting outside to be dismissed and can avoid all kinds of weather. Teachers are able to work with students through dismissal because they are notified in their classroom. The best part about PMK is it is easy to use and makes school management efficient. #### Cons I would like it to be easier for parents to add their child at the beginning of the school year.
