Gama has everything you need.

Now we are giving an additional service to our clients, with the platform they have everything they need and they can quote in a few minutes. Our team works faster and more efficient, now doing the revision of the operations takes less time that before and we can download different templates, with the tracking information updated. We are starting to communicate less by email and phone with the clients, the idea is to do everything from the platform.

PROS

Is the only platform, that has all the requirements that the logistics industry needs today. Its a great help for your team and han excellent tool for your clients, where they have everything they need from their operations, If they use the system everyday you should`t have any additional emails or phone calls from your clients.

CONS

The only 2 feature that I suggest to be added, is an option to send emails to all of your clients that are in the platform, now they have some customized emails but there should be an option to send any information directly from the platform. Additionally an option to manage your operations better, like cutomiced alarms and milestones, that will occur with some criteria added to the system. I understand that this options will be added to Gama soon, they are working on it.

Reason for choosing Gama

They are to expensive and complicated and they don´t give an option of portal for our clients.

Reasons for switching to Gama

Because the system is obsolete.

After years of testing, Gama is our preferred freight forwarding management software

Compared to what currently exists in the space of shipment management software for freight forwarders, nobody else compares to what Gama is doing. During our companies quest to find a software service to help our freight forwarding company become more virtual, we tested a lot of services. GoFreight, Magaya, Cargologik, Logistaas, and Freightools. We also looked into others that did not make it to our testing round. But Gama outperformed all of them during our test. I continue to get more and more excited with Gama and the features it offers with each day that I use it. Their development team is very hands-on and is happy to offer custom work at a very fair price. Unlike other apps we've used, it remains very clear that Gama's mission stays consistent, which is to always be improving and always offer a service that helps freight forwarders stay organized and help improve their business.

PROS

Gama's rate inquiry capabilities were the reason started testing their app. Needless to say, we are incredibly pleased. Our company submits a lot of quotations to customers every day. Before Gama, we tested a lot of other services, and always fell back on creating quotes in excel. This led to a lot of errors in rates and was tedious for our rates department. Other services in this space could not offer what we wanted, which was a way to submit a quotation, and have the customer be able to log in for their rate/booking and see their quotation via email and sharable webpage. From the moment a customer sees a quotation, then into the booking process, as well as the entire shipping process, their shipment stayd beautifully organized throughout each step.

CONS

Gama is still relatively software. It hasn't been around for decades like some of the archaic competitors that all employees seem to hate. But it is clear the developers are more focused on adding new features than they have time to provide documentation and guides of all the new features they are always adding. While this is not always a huge problem, as the Gama team is always eager to offer virtual training, it does make it hard at times. They lack support articles for the various features they offer. I imagine this will improve over time, but I usually learn of newly added features just by poking around the admin section and looking for new updates, and not via emails or announcements.

Reason for choosing Gama

Gama offer the most features for what we needed, had beautiful UX which help improve our image to our customers, and demonstrated a clear interest in always improving their software. This is a very difficult space to build software, because you need to know both software and the intricacies of supply chain. Most of the competitors are either great developers with a basic understanding of the industry, or experienced professionals with an outsourced team of developers. The CEO of Gama seems to be a competent tech person who knows how to build a team and has significant experience in logistics and supply chain.

Reasons for switching to Gama

I was not happy with the limitations and overall software of the previous company we relied.

Golden Bridge Gama

PROS

Gama allows us to interact directly with the customer and display our rates in real time. This deepens our customer engagement .

CONS

Import rates still need more work. It's our impression that most forwarders use Gama for export

Ease of use and the ability to have a customer facing portal, together with a Mobile App (iOS) was key to our decision process
