It's the one I chose for a reason
Quite good. They were very helpful early on. Since then, it's been an easy platform to use.
PROSThe customer support was great during my research. They promptly answered my questions, even anticipating future considerations.
CONSThere's really not much I don't like. I suppose the layout of the platform itself could be a little better, but that's just personal preference.
Reason for choosing Textedly
The customer support answered all of my questions quickly.

Giving 2 stars for lack of flexibility for customers.
Good price for messages, but not good service for companies who sending SMS to new monthly, fresh and updated lists of customers.
PROSI like the price for the service and i`m impressed with a delivery rate. Good job!
CONS-Problem is you need to pay for keywords that you are not going to use in the next month. For example: I have a fresh list of customers every month and i need to create new keywords with new lists attached to them, but.....as per Textedly advise if "i remove a subscriber from a keyword, there is no way to resubscribe them on your end, even if you create a new keyword" and "We do not recommend deleting your keyword as it will delete all of your message data. It is best to keep your data in the event you are involved in a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) legal matter. Penalties are $500 to $1,500 for each text message violation that you sent". So, why customer needs to pay for keywords he will never use in the future?. -Another difficulty for me was a lack of simplicity of platform usage and i need to communicate with a customer service and wait for the answer in order to solve technical issues or receive answers on my questions which i couldn`t find in QA section of Textedly.
Reasons for switching to Textedly
Because of delivery rate of EZ Texting lowered to 50% and i had almost every time 50% bounced messages. Very sad-it was my favorite platform and i`ve been in EZ Texting for a long time.

Like Mailchimp, but for Text
We are a subscription based e-commerce company and we use Textedly to connect with users when their credit card has expired such that they can update their payment method.
PROSCost! Of the various texting platforms, we found Textedly to be among the most economical. Additionally, I like that customers can join our text message lists by sending us a text message. This comes in very useful when we are delivering s presentation or are at a convention.
CONSWhen you sign up, you’re assigned a phone number like “555-222”. I wish that the number was a normal number, like 612-555-5555, because customer tune out the corporate looking number. Secondly, it is very difficult to text customers individually. Rather, the platform is built for “mass” texts that go to an entire list of people. Finally, there is no ability to add in unique elements into the text. For example, in email marketing you can add tags to include an individual’s name into the body of an email. That type of customization doesn’t exist via Textedly.

Quick texting to complete ministry.
PROSSuper super easy to use. Quick and user friendly! From the first time I logged in with the site, everything was easy to find. Great design.
CONSThere isn't much I don't like about the software. It would be neat if they made an app for this software. Would save a minute or two going online.

Textedly has provided an easy way to get important information to Customers and business Teams.
An effective way to communicate with Customers and Teams.
PROSAfter trying several similar programs, Textedly stood out in Customer service, value and ease of use. The system is clean, easy to use and organized in an intuitive fashion. It is very user friendly. The Customer Service is responsive, helpful and accommodating. The Plans are set to meet the needs of users of all levels. Good product, good service, good value.
CONSThe only thing I would like is an app but they've focused on a good product at a good price and back it with good service so I've learned to adapt to not having an app for it.

Awesome SMS Service!
If you're considering adding SMS to your marketing strategies, definitely try Textedly!
PROSWe're incredibly new to using SMS for marketing. Didn't really know what we were doing, honestly. Textedly gave us a super easy intro, how-to, and focus on how to tackle this new aspect of our business. We don't have a huge market that we send texts to, but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It's made my job of communicating with the field much easier and more personal.
CONSThere's nothing I don't like! Seriously, such an intuitive platform that makes texting our markets a cinch.

PROSI have used this service since the end of january, it was difficult at first, but eventually I got the hang of it. I was getting some guidence by someone named [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]at first she was nice then she got more and more impatient and rude. I asked if I could work with someone else but I kept getting her replying to my emails. I get the impression that this is a fly by night company, I have known a lot over the years as I am always trying a way to communicate better with my customers. A bunch of contacts were unsubscribed and after a couple days of waiting for IT, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]writers back, "Unfortunately IT has no record of any issues with this account, nor the subscribers being unsubscribed." yet, here I am and I know these 26 people who work for me, they did not unsubscribe.
CONSTextedly refuses to do anything to help. Its very suspicious. My guess is that there are about 2-4 people that work for this company and they use a answering service who knows nothing about the company nor can they give me any names. I feel they are hiding and misrepresenting themselves. I would do more research before signing up and avoid "[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]" she seems vindictive and has a huge attitude.
Reason for choosing Textedly
they seemed nice at first and the software seemed easy enough to use for our purposes
Reasons for switching to Textedly
it was messing up my phone

The most important feature doesn't work
When I purchase something (demo or otherwise) for possible consideration, I simply want it to work, even in demo mode. Went through the process of signing on and spent most of the evening trying to figure out how to upload a simple contact(s) list. No button to do that anywhere. I would like to purchase a sms marketing plan that allows me to upload an already established list and simply will not start from scratch. EXtexting, (not happy with them, but at least they allow you to upload a list. Bottom line, when I want something online I want it to work with ease and no headaches. My search continues fro a company that I can do business with

Missing Key Analytics
Even though I didn't continue using this platform after my free trial, I still think it's a great option, especially for small businesses. The customer service is excellent. Their reps are friendly, fast, and effective communicators.
PROSIt's very easy to get started with Textedly. You can quickly figure out how to import contacts, draft/schedule/send texts, etc within a matter of minutes. I found the dashboards of competitors like SimpleTexting and EZTexting to be a bit visually overwhelming compared to Textedly.
CONSThe biggest con for me is that they do not offer link tracking within their platform. You can work around this by using UTM codes to track the links in Google Analytics, but that's kind of inconvenient when you consider that other platforms do track the number of clicks on your links. I asked a customer service rep about this and they told me that Textedly previously DID track links, but they no longer do. I wonder why they did away with that feature.

Textedly is reliable, easy, and a good value
Except for one sign in glitch, earlier this year, their tech support has been fabulous. They have a personalized business approach to their customers. I don't feel like I'm interfacing with some outsourced tech support halfway around the world.
PROSIt allows me to send out 400 plus texts to our sports league in a matter of seconds. It's reliable. It's easy to add new participants, without a long barrier of entry for the new participants. It is a substantially lower cost than its competition.
CONSOnce entered as a contact, a participant can't change a phone number without you having to delete the entire contact and re-entering from scratch. I would like to see some edit capability in the phone number field, if all the other information stays constant.

Textedly is a MUST for all churches and religious organizations!
Textedly offers one of the cheapest (if not the cheapest) mass texting with shortcode plans online. For a small church group with just 200-300 members, it was not worth spending upwards of 75 dollars monthly to send them weekly notifications. But with Textedly, the price was almost 80 percent less! Best of all, the user interface is so smooth, I am able to send mass texts from whereever from my phone. The support group always gets back to me as soon as possible as well and is very helpful if I have any questions!
CONSThere are no cons compared to other mass text messaging platforms. The one thing I can say is that they don't offer just a standalone service where you can buy credits one time and just use them. You have to subscribe to a monthly plan no matter what.

Simple and Easy
This service has been incredibly easy to use. If you need to go to more characters and send two texts that works pretty easy. If you don't have enough messages in your bank, it is easy to purchase the additional ones needed to send those all out. Overall, this is just a basic system that is easy to use. You don't get a lot of customization, but for small companies like us with only a few thousand texts going out each month, it is a perfect fit.
PROSThe set-up was really easy. Once we signed up, we used the online chat for help. They walked us through what we needed, sent us the forms, and then it was super easy to implement. Each time we send out more texts, we can see previous campaigns and even re-send as we choose. Notifications when people text us come to our email so we don't have to log in constantly and check. Very user friendly.
CONSUnfortunately you cannot send campaigns to only NEW people who sign up. So if you have a campaign this week and send it out and hope more people sign up, you either individually have to text them, or wait until your next campaign. You can't just grab those people all in one swoop. Opt in is easy for the member, but if they opt out in error, and text you that...you can't use this system to opt them back in or contact them. You have to use something else (email, call, etc) and inform them to sign up again.
