SurveyMonkey is a cloud-based survey tool that helps users create, send and analyze surveys. Users can email surveys to respondents and post them on their websites and social media profiles to increase response rate. Users can run customer satisfaction surveys to get feedback on products and services, and they can send employee engagement surveys to understand employee satisfaction within the company. The tool allows users to send surveys and check on results from a mobile device.

SurveyMonkey helps users reduce data bias by using question, page, block and order randomization. It provides users with multiple question types including video, matrix, rating, star, slider, A/B testing and ranking questions. Users can personalize respondent experience with advanced survey logic, branching, question and page skip logic and advanced piping. Users can use survey templates or access question banks to prepare surveys.

SurveyMonkey allows users to customize their surveys by adding logos, themes and corporate colors. Pricing is per month. Support is provided via email and phone.

Great data collection tool.

Pros

Easy, straightforward, a lot of options. An excellent tool to gather feedback, qualitative data, marketing research, have a little fun - you name it. Great that there's an option to start free with a 'basic plan'.

Cons

Of course it's always a bummer to have to deal with tiers of plans, but they are providing a service afterall.

SurveyMonkey Best Survey tool

Great, helped us to know our needs and plan appropriately

Pros

It is very easy to use, you can get the data you want from surveys as there are many templates to tailor your needs.
The surveys feedback form is very easy for a user to comprehend and can build accurate campaigns from the feedback you get
The free version of survey monkey is also great, one can try it 1st before going for the paid plan

Cons

The layout of the interface is outdated a bit, it has been like so for a while. I feel its time they improved to get a better UX

Survey Monkey is used within our company to gauge feelings on certain matters internally. It’s quick and easy to setup.

Pros

The foundation of my business

Survey Monkey os the bedrock of my business. I couldn't run it without it. I took a clunky paper-based questionnaire and turned it into a sleek, professional, accessable option that adds huge value to my clients.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to set up, able to tailor to suits my needs from branding and colours to logos to frequenlty asked questions. Love that I can hyperlink and upload through Survey Monkey.

Cons

My only issue is that I cannot set a permanent page redirection for the end of surveys. The work aroun dis to add it manually to each page.

SurveyMonkey is an easy way to make surveys and to take surveys.

Pros

It's efficient and easy to use. I've both made several of my own surveys, as well as taken countless of others' surveys on this platform and have never had any problems. Customization is easy once you get the hang of it.

Cons

I wish there were more customization options, but that isn't that big of an issue.

We greatly enjoy being able to customize our surveys. Standard out of the box templates do not work for us.

Alright for small-talk surveys.

We occasionally use it as it's fast to setup and easy to distribute.

Pros

SurveyMonkey has proved useful for small surveys, maybe asking a few questions. It has the necessary form inputs to do so and it's super easy to collect responses. You can tie into the API really easy or embed it into your own website, to get real-time feedback from potential leads or clients. It could certainly be used for HR departments wanting feedback from employees.

Cons

For much larger scale surveys, I believe SurveyMonkey could do with more inputs, slightly faster loading speeds and an easier to use interface.

No Complaints

No problems at all. Plan to continue using it exclusively.

Pros

For our needs, I have found survey monkey to be the easiest to use. And though it may not be as robust as some more expensive options, it has always accomplished what we needed it to.

Cons

If we were looking for more detailed data about a survey or mailing, I would perhaps be interested in learning what else was available to compare. For our use though, its great.

Pros

Very simple, questions are easy and don't need to type a lot.

Some questions need more detail to explain. But, I can't use it. Because, it makes simple questions feature. It's good but sometimes no good.

Pros

We use SurveyMonkey primarily for internal surveys, and it's great because unlike Google Forms and other programs, people feel comfortable when you say surveys are anonymous. I also like the ease of use with SurveyMonkey. It's very user-friendly.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about SurveyMonkey.

Assessment and Evaluation Solution

Pros

Survey Monkey can be used for more than just surveying a group for a product or vote. It can also be used in eLearning capacities for Quizzes, Needs Assessments and for capturing a learners experience with a feedback/evaluation questionnaire.
It is also easy to use and has a ton of features for different types of surveys or questionnaires.

Cons

The costs for me is the only con, but I really think it depends on the user. I don't use Survey Monkey everyday or frequent enough to pay the monthly costs, but for someone who uses it every day and it is part of their primary job, the costs should not be an issue as it's just an investment of a tool you need to help you do your job.

Makes surveys accessible to everyone.

Pros

The simple default bar charts are pretty handy. The whole site seems to have a minimalist functionality. They don't do everything, but they do surveys well. They also have a lot of tools to help you design surveys, like a sample size calculator.

Cons

Can't bulk upload a survey. If you change even one or two questions, you have to make a new survey. If you'd like to keep the previous answers together with the new answers, you'll have to type them in manually or combine them in an outside program.

Also, it prepares word cloud visualizations and those are just uninformative.

Pros

This is a great program! It's easy to create surveys and get feedback from others. I love the variety of functions it offers and it suits basically any survey you want to create.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of anything I don't like. This is one program that does the job well right every time. there is a lot of programs out there that now are similar to survevymonkey, but I still think this is a great program.
