MangoMint really is exceptional for those that require seamless salon operations management.

I can't say enough about the customer support from pre-transition, transition, and after implementation. Top notch!! We've been running the software for 2 months now and it's been helpful both to the team and our clients as it makes life much easier to book, analyze daily/weekly/monthly metrics, run payroll, and is a joy to use.

PROS

Seamless transition. Amazing and responsive customer support - seriously. Intuitive for the team to use. Allows for clients to easily book and the salon to manage the appointment cycle. Polished interface.

CONS

Does not integrate with QuickBooks - the lack of API limits integrations with other software. This reason is the primary reason I almost did not go with MangoMint. Everything else is amazing as new features get released regularly. There might be a few additional reports or dashboards that I'd like as a data professional (or API access) but should suffice for most users.

Full-featured mobile application interface which Boulevard didn't have at time of purchase - amazing software for those that don't require mobile management features via iPhone app. Envision appears powerful but couldn't get past the dated interface and that it takes a lot of training so not as intuitive as MangoMint.

Mangomint Makes Me Happy!

Exceptional! The best part was working with the on-boarding team! They were incredibly fast, and I felt they were committed to my success.

PROS

I enjoyed working with the Mangomint team. They helped me set up the system and then stayed with me to ensure I was able to manage it. They have the BEST employees - especially [sensitive content hidden]!

CONS

I'd like to see a bit more functionality with regard to booking groups and allowing each member of a group to pay for their service versus charging just one group member. I'd like to see a calendar that has a birdseye view of the week, month, and 3 months. Perhaps this is currently available, but I'm too knew to the system to know what it can do. Finally, I would like the POS to be more like Square with photos that can be tapped versus scanning for an item.

Mindbody was attempting to onboard me, however, they were a nightmare to work with. Their rep lied several times and in the end I had to reach out to their [sensitive content hidden] to gain access to my backend! I finally decided they were too much work as I did not want to become a programmer! I just want to run a spa! Likewise Bookeo did not want to connect in anyway other than emails. I spent 6 weeks trying to understand their product because I simply didn't have time to sit at a desk and watch/read all their tutorials. Having a live person to walk you through the system was THE best feature Mangomint offered. It seems many of these booking software companies are developed by programmers who think most people know what to do or have teams of IT people to onboard new products - but spa and salon owner typically don't do this type of work - we just want a working booking system and POS - that's what Mangomint provided!

Mindbody is a nightmare to work with. For a smaller company without an IT team, it's a nightmare. Slow and unresponsive - and VERY expensive!

Best salon and spa app in the market

Best Spa Management Software I've Ever Used!

Fantastic! I have yet to find a better software for my business!

PROS

Ease of use. Very straight-forward, intuitive interface. Needed minimal learning modules to get started and having had any issues training new employees. Very clean, streamlined look. Lots of features to make managing my business easier and they are consistently developing new features. Most features are customizable which allows us to use them exactly as we need to. Customer Service is fantastic! I am located on the East Coast and despite the 3 hour time difference, I almost never have to wait more than a few minutes for a response!

CONS

They currently lack the ability to edit internal forms without having to delete and restart. We like to start SOAP Notes after intake and finish them when the service has ended. Since we all share a computer, we can't always leave the note open to complete at a later time. With this being said, unlike other Software I have used in the past, they take recommendations seriously and are always looking to improve features when able to.

Great Software and Customer Service

My overall experience with Mangomint has been very positive. They have everything we need in one place. It is easy to use and learn. Anything we think they should add they take into consideration and develop a solution.

PROS

I really like the ease of use of the software. It gives you the capability to do everything in one spot… scheduling, selling product, payroll, running sales reports and much more! The customer service is great and gives is always quick to respond with visual and detailed instructions to troubleshoot anything or how to do something.

CONS

I haven’t found a thing that I like the least about Mangomint.

We started having trouble with our point of sale. The customer service wasn’t helping problem solve our issues. The reporting was to complex and hard to find what we needed.

The Perfect Software for Medispas!

Overall, the setup and integration from my previous software was simple. Their customer service department is excellent and prompt with their responses. This is the first software system I've thoroughly enjoyed using!

PROS

My favorite features of Mangomint are the actual interface (very easy to navigate), the payment processing system, and the add on features. It has made running my business a breeze!

CONS

I can't really pinpoint anything I dislike about the software.

I didn't like the overall software and their reporting featute was complicated and not useful. Even my Accountant had issues trying to make sense of their reports.

Mango Mint for Hair Salons

It's been great!!! We have really loved switching over to it. Customer service is amazing. It's nice to not have to go through so many hoops to get help like with our previous software system.

PROS

I have loved the simplicity of the online booking site. It makes it easy for guests. I also like being able to use it in a hybrid salon with both renters and commission artists.

CONS

I don't like the layout of the booking calendar when looking at it on your phone or computer. It only shows 3 days at a time and not the whole week.

It seemed to be the most personable, and I like their approach of not being on social media due to their morals. I respect that! If feels more like a small business verses working with a corporation.

Worth the money

very impressed and thankful it was so easy, especially because it is pricey.

PROS

ease of use, appealing to the client and employees, the design is luxurious, love the ability to create customized experiences for appointments in re: to services and adding on for greater profits, efficient, able to speak with someone 24/7 for any queries

not able to sell packages online, a client must be there to purchase or use self-checkout which is not as efficient for holiday gifting.

Mangomint was the Clear Winner when Researching Salon Software

A quick, convenient and enjoyable booking experience for clients is our highest priority as a hair salon. Mangomint does all the heavy lifting with seamless website integration, custom branding, appointment notifications, payment processing, and unbelievable new features that continue to roll out and make our lives even easier.

PROS

The interface is clean and beautiful which oddly doesn't exist in any other salon software. We chose Mangomint initially for it's ability to handle payments for our hair salon that has both booth renters and commission stylists in which Mangomint allows all our stylists to use the same payment processor and routes payments to booth renters' individual bank accounts without ever hitting ours. They continue to impress us with features that make our life and the client's experience so simple and easy.

CONS

Initially I was concerned about the third party payment processor, but back in February of 2021 they upgraded this entirely to Mangomint Pay and it has been a game changer. No more concerns, we couldn't be happier with this update.

Reason for choosing Mangomint

Coming from retail, I saw Mangomint as the Shopify of the salon industry. Once I discovered Mangomint there was no debate. They offer everything you need for a hair salon software including and amazing client experience which is critical for our brand.

Vagaro's user experience wasn't great and too slow of a load time for online booking.

Absolutely love Mangomint!!!

Online bookings and no call/no show cancellations are eliminated with having the ability to have credit cards on file which has been a huge financial benefit to us compared to our old software. Absolutely love that if you need help you can get ahold of someone almost immediately. Big thanks to everyone at Mangomint!

PROS

Love how easy Mangomint is to use. We had another booking system, Milano, that just made every step twice as hard as it needed to be but this system has made our lives incredibly easier.. The online booking system is flawless and the on-boarding/integration to Mangomint was simple.

CONS

The only con was that you didn't have couples massage booking available but we were able to do a work around on that and Mangomint is in the works of solving this for the software as we speak along with numerous new features that we are excited about.

Mangomint has changed every aspect of my spa TREMENDOUSLY!

Even though I'm paying more for Mangomint, the amount of time + money I'm saving in other areas plus all the amazing features and ease of use for staff and clients is worth every penny!

PROS

I was with another company for 10+ years prior to Mangomint so even though I was shopping around, I never considered leaving until I found a company that checked all the boxes. Mangomint has every feature + more of what I need to run a full service spa with many different types of staff + services. Even though I love EVERYTHING- what has made the most impact is the ability for clients to cancel + reschedule on their own and the ability to book multiple services. The taking credit card online is also incredible + has made no-shows so much easier to deal with. Oh and I love that I can actually reach out to a real person and get help right away!

CONS

I didn't like that I wasn't able to manage resources but now that I can, there isn't anything I don't like about Mangomint.

Wix was a mess and unsynced our calendars multiple times and there wasn't a single person I could get ahold of to help me understand why. They lacked a lot of features we needed but because I was with them for so long, I was worried about the switch and if clients were going to accept us requiring a card on file.

Couldn’t run my business without it

I’ll never use another software.

PROS

Mangomint has been a seamless front and back end experience for our team and clients. It has been essential to not only navigating through opening during covid but grow our business as well. Our clients love the online booking, self check-in and checkout, and text reminders. It’s simple and clean to use and look at. Their customer service team is SO responsive, friendly, and helpful. They also save me a ton of time and headache with Shopify inventory integration.

CONS

My only complaint is a missing group booking option. The MangoMint team is always updating, improving, and adding features. I’m confident they’ll add group booking (hopefully soon!). A cancellation list feature would also help but I think that’s in the near future too!

Reason for choosing Mangomint

The Shopify integration was definitely the driver but MangoMint is also the cleanest looking and minimalistic salon software I’ve seen. It’s easier to use and their customer service team is great.

Mangomint is the heart of my salon company

Mangomint keeps everything so organized and efficient. I really couldn't be happier with it and my staff love it as well.

PROS

We love how modern and clean the software is. Easy to use and the chat support feature is amazing where I can live chat with support anytime I need it. We also love the covid features the software has for guest arrival and check in options.. also a self check out option so they can pay on their phones completely contact free!!

CONS

There are a couple features that I wish it had and I've expressed it to them and they seem very open to exploring the ideas.. which is great to be heard

Mangomint for Med spas

PROS

When looking for a new system to use, Mangomint hit all the marks and checked all the boxes EXCEPT for one: HIPAA compliance. Once they added that, I was sold. The features are easy to use, easy to learn, functional in a way that makes sense. The system has all the things we needed and more. Integration and switching to a new system can often be a headache but it was surprisingly not stressful with Mangomint. When I had a question, there was always someone available to help me sort it all out. Can't recommend enough!

CONS

The only thing I'd really love to see is email integration with Flodesk for easier email marketing and patient email communication.

Jane's aesthetic was dated, not as user friendly for med spas. We weren't able to utilize memberships in the way that we wanted to. It's just not the best option for medical spas and we learned that using it for a year until we made the switch to Mangomint.

Sleek and Easy to use

I would recommend Mangomint to anyone needing an easy to use and intelligent scheduling system.

PROS

I like all the features the software has to offer, from scheduling to product inventory. Notifying clients is so much easier with the notification features. I can't wait to explore the membership and packages features with our business.

CONS

The only thing I don't like is an extra cost for integrated forms.

Beautiful inside and out

PROS

What attracted me most to Mangomint was their beautiful interfacing designs. The colors and energy matched all the wonderful support throughout my trial and onboarding experience so far with Mangomint. Everything has been easy and intuitive for my startup business. One of the best decisions I’ve made so far in setting up my appointment scheduling with Mangomint. I highly recommend their software program.

CONS

The only thing that I feel is missing so far is online booking for memberships which Mangomint is in the process of integrating in the next year.

Almost perfect online scheduling

PROS

Online booking has made a huge difference for us. We very rarely have any open appointments anymore. The billing system works like a charm, keeping track of payments and payroll. Their customer service is better than almost any other I've had to deal with. They're always pleasant and helpful, and always get back to us promptly.

CONS

It is not a perfect fit, and there are a few bugs. For example, we use MM's system for our gift cards, and the recipient of the GC is not automatically added to the info on the card. Scheduling can be a little clunky as although the appointment time blocks for therapists is clearly laid out, the actual appointment times are not, so you have to be careful when booking a new appointment that you schedule it at the correct subdivision of the time block (Not an issue for clients booking online). However, MM has been very good about. trying to adapt to our needs, and has implemented several changes over the years to make it easier. Their new wait list feature was a game changer for us.

Excellent product and support

PROS

The software is very smooth & intuitive, all the features are well thought out and work with no issues. The support team is unparalleled and the limited issues that did come up, were resolved promptly. They even went above and beyond in delivering on some feature requests that me and my team are very grateful for. Highly recommend Mangomint to anyone and everyone!

CONS

Price is on the high side but you get what you pay for so I can’t complain as I am a very happy customer. I wish that certain ancillary features were slightly cheaper or included in the subscription.

PROS

There are a lot of Pros when it comes to Mangomint with very few downsides. It has everything when it comes to booking software, its second to none with customer support and they are always adding new features and upgrading!

CONS

If I was to say anything, I would say it need to improve the reports you can run (need to be more granular)

Honestly, the customer service is what keeps me. The product is fabulous. But to be able to have access to get assistance any time of day and for it to be within 10 minutes or less is amazing. I had so many questions and needed assistance. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] are the BEST! Hands down, you do not even need to think. Get this product you will not regret your decision.

There are still some enhancements/features that will make this product more seamless. However, Mangomint listens to their customers and they are always adding upgrades and enhancements to the product based on our feedback.

Reasons for switching to Mangomint
