The Standard in Status Pages
Statuspage allows us to always have a means of communicating with our clients.
PROSI like the ubiquitousness of the product. With so many other services also using the service, there is a rich assortment integrations available.
CONSI'm always surprised that there's no monitoring built into the product.
Reason for choosing Statuspage
Freshstatus is still lagging behind Status Page in terms of some functionality.

Clear updates for users and easy access in Atlassian
Anyone running SaSS companies knows how important it is to keep users aware of updates, scheduled downtime, and the rare but inevitable incidents involving degraded performance or an outage. The more users we can get subscribed to our Statuspage the fewer phone calls, chats, and confused (angry) users will need to be handled by our help and support team.
PROSWe've been able to grant access to Statuspage to multiple managers in our organization. While we don't work around the clock, there is always someone who can post about incidents and update as more information is available. After a short while, the 'templates' made the more common incidents take only seconds to write up.
CONSThe only issues we've had was back when it was Statuspage.io and was being acquired by Atlassian. It wasn't the smoothest transition for us, as we had multiple users with no other need for Atlassian access, but it wasn't enough to deter us from continuing use.
Reason for choosing Statuspage
At the time it was the best pricing/feature combination for our then small company. When acquired by Atlassian, it was good to keep another service under one vendor.

Streamlined communications from IT to Stakeholders in the most efficient way possible.
Overall it's changed the way we work as an IT department. It's this kind of disruptive innovation that we need in today's sprawling organizations.
PROSI'd be happy to recommend Statuspage - it's really changed the way we manage our communications as within our organization and we're grateful for the innovation. We really do spend less time managing the emails to all and sundry which allows us to concentrate fully on the task at hand. We also appreciate the regular additions by the Development team in terms of integrations and new features. The API provides us with the flexibility to combine Statuspage with our QA & Monitoring teams, and being able to toggle the status of our components in an automated manner is a huge benefit. The support team are always friendly, helpful and professional. We've never had a problem that they couldn't fix. If only all suppliers could be like this...
CONSJust the fact that we didn't hear about it sooner.
Reason for choosing Statuspage
Integration to other Atlassian Products, namely Jira Service Desk.

A System Status in our fingertips
I would like to be contacted by Statuspage in order to check the possibility to colaborate in new businesses. Thank you.
PROSIt's a clean, and clear, solution. Very easy to implement. Added value for an IT department. Once that we use Statuspage as a service, their output information can be analised and audited with confidence.
CONSFrom whom that was responsible for in house equivalent software implementation, is a bit strange to loose the control of a so important software. Nevertheless there is noting to deslike it.

Keeps customers informed
An overall positive experience after finding my way around it.
PROSStatuspage made it really easy to setup a page in which customers can rely on to see whether my app is up or not and get notified when there's an issue.
CONSI found external triggers via email tricky to setup which put me off the product at first

Statuspage Gets you the Status
I like the ability to send email and sms notifications.
CONSI don't like the ways that it uses components, but that may be more that we want it to do things that it doesn't do.

Updates are making a good service even better
Just as we were struggling to add the 'widget' to our websites, Statuspage updated that feature so we can now do that easily without the intervention of one of our developers. This service makes it easy for our relatively small support team to communicate with customers quickly and efficiently.
CONSI would like a testing/staging version so that we can easily run through a test or drill outage on our 'staging' platform to easily prepare the team. Otherwise, no real gripes now that they updated the widget!

Useful tool for maintaining customer satisfaction and setting expectations.
PROScustomer notification tool for service outages, able to post, distribute, and update planned and emergency outages.
CONSSometimes searching for an older status post can be difficult; the one you want doesn't always come up easily.

Great for providing snapshot of system status
Statuspage has been a big help for the engineering teams to be able to provide insights into the status of system features and services.
PROSEasy to configure and set up and the documentation was readily available and easy to follow. We chose this because of the integrations with other Atlassian products. Being able to provide end-users and support departments insight into uptime and system health is a must-have.
CONSNothing so far. We are in the early stages of the implementation and rollout and I can't think of any issues with the process or features that we are left wanting.

StatusPage is the best facility to get your users to know about the availability of your services. In case there's any problem, they are ready to help.
CONSThe dashboard's User Experience is not very good. The landing page is awesome. Hope they look up for the dashboard too.

Expensive, but mainstream
Hooks directly into Atlassian products, and is widely integrated with much other software due to its popularity. Easy to use, and simple to set up. UI is simple but it also can become more advanced for power users.
CONSExtremely expensive compared to competitors, and competitors also offer more features for the money. Statuspage needs to start innovating further in order to stay ahead of the competitors that have popped up over the years.
