The time we save on charting is significant compared to cornerstone. I love the ease of access to the information and how each thing is bundled into categories. It is so easy to send records from ezyvet and also it itegrates with my online pharmacy and texting service which has saved me so much time. The cost is better than cornerstone also. Great value for money spent. There was some confusion and disruption in the initial transition to ezyVet, but this was almost entirely due to a lack of preparedness on our (hospital) part, and not the fault of the ezyVet team. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Cloud-based, and (effectively) paperless medical record system, that allows access to all information in hospital, and remotely, but very securely. Very flexible and intuitive program that new employees seem to pick up reasonably quickly. Great integration with complementary software programs and companies, allowing easy transfer of information and excellent fee capture. Responsive customer support. #### Cons Like any software there are always minor features or customization that would be useful in our particular practice, but are not possible as they would disrupt essential features for other clinics. That said, ezyet is far more individually customizable than any other program I am aware of, so this criticism is simply the nature of any program that serves more than one individual hospital. The ezyVet customer support team are very open to feature suggestions and requests, and aim to incorporate them whenever possible. Occasionally bugs appear following rollout of a new software release, though these are rare, almost always minor, and rapidly rectified. These are far outweighed by the constant improvements and automatic updates in the program provided frequently as part of being a customer. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet The previous program did not provide the records, communication, and fee capture features we needed in our expanding hospital, and did not provide any remote access option at the time. Internal memo's are wonderful and help with internal communication. #### Cons The IT support is very hit and miss on how helpful they are. The IT upgrades are rarely useful and honestly I often shake my head as to why they don't seem to listen to the vets on the ground. Very difficult to put in a complaint to anyone and get things done. Over the last year, it also seems like the support has declined as well. There have been many time where I have called and requested a call back and stay in queue, and I've never gotten a call back. There are also times where I decide to wait, and then I get hung up on after being on hold for over an hour. #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet ezyVet is more equipped for our size practice and has way more functionality and flexibility. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet We were very upset with Smartflow initially, which is why we made the switch to Instinct. It has helped us tidy up our inventory & client communications so so much. I like how we can customize it to the needs of our practice. Is it perfect? No, but it definitely makes us more efficient & we are better set up to capture charges accurately by creating templates for all of our therapeutics, procedures & surgeries. #### Cons I wish we could link better with Jotform & other externals to make our CSR team workload better. No incentive was offered One of the worst companies I have dealt with in business. They are in it for the money. They knowingly lock you in to a contract that you can't get out of. Then they do not complete their portion of any work but if there is a delay it is all on the user. The ability to work between multiple sites. The ability to control inventory over multiple sites. #### Cons There is absolutely no help in setting the software up. They charge ALOT of money for this phase, but it is all DYI. The implementers don't know their own software. No two people can tell you the same thing. Most of the time they contradict themselves. You have to learn how to set up the software and use the software on your own by watching videos. The videos don't match what the implementers say, nor do they match the quizzes in the training. It does not do what they say it will do. #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet Monthly cost. But due to hidden fees, they probably ended up the same in cost. Also rhapsody had a third party doing reminders and the wellness plan. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet We wanted to go to a cloud based software that would allow us to manage clients, patients and inventory in one place. It was well fleshed out in terms of features and actually was constantly improving (contrary to Idexx Neo!). I love the ability to create email and record templates that make my life easier. Integration with Idexx now has just improved things. I hope the awesome customer support continues with Idexx now owning them. #### Cons Switching over, setting up and learning the new software took about 4 months, but then it was worth all the initial growing pains.Some people might say it’s expensive vs other softwares, but we all know you get what you pay for. The seamless integration with Idexx has eliminated missed lab charges and results and the new integration with ReviewTree has been wonderful for collecting reviews for our clients. The capability to customize almost every aspect of the software allows me to produce templates for our doctors to be more efficient with their clinical records. our receptionists to provide catered documents for each client, and our techs to have charts that fit their needs and wants as well. Ezyvet is very easy to understand and learn and I have watched new employees become comfortable with its use in just a few days. On the administrative side every report and count I could want is available and my inventory is easily tracked. #### Cons Inital set up can be time consuming because you need to take the time to decide how you want to create your templates, documents, clinical records etc. The fact that everything is so customized is a blessing after everything is set-up but when you first start out its hard to know what you really want until you get to know the software and how you want to use it in your practice. #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet Ezyvet was by far the most comprehensive platform and the navigation of the program made sense. As I was exploring the software I could think "if I was making this software I would want to find vaccines here" and that is exactly where they would be. They customer service all stars were amazing and I felt like my practice was in good hands as they discussed implementation. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet DVM Manager was no longer supported and needed to be changed over to their new Impromed software. Impromed was still server based and was not up to my expectations for customer service, ease of use, compatibility with other programs, etc. #### Vendor response Thank you so much Kristen for such an incredible review! You can set this software up to do just about anything you want it to. EzyVet also integrates with all of our main suppliers, which makes managing inventory a piece of cake. We also really like and utilize the wellness plans. The departments also work great if you have multiple locations or divisions with different pricing and DVMs. #### Cons Its expensive. Sometimes updates will come out that break certain features and you have to wait weeks for the next update to come out for it to be fixed (see online booking summer/fall 2020.) All HIS programs have challenges. EzyVet is one of the better ones from a tracking finance point of view. As a specialty hospital, we have had to cone up with many process work around to make EzyVet work for us. As a product developed for specialty it is surprising there is no integrated in patient care option. Put simply, this program does an amazing job of automating my vision of how our practice Standards Of Care are managed, and I can do practically everything I want it to. I love how so many parts of this program allow significant time saving steps, and there is lot of automation. The more you customise, the better this gets, so use these features! This program is very well layed out. Whilst it might be a struggle at first to ensure your entire team is on board with where/how to do specific (practice-customised) tasks, the importance and ease of finding that specific information later is self-evident. The tracking of changes significantly increases accountability and ensures team consistency. The integration is amazing - with laboratories, S8 log book, SmartFlow and more! The autobilling and record keeping is a breeze! If anyone in the team has questions that only ezyVet can answer, the Support system is superb. You can call up if it is a critical issue, or send a written request and rank it's importance. They are very responsive and changes or ideas are also warmly received. I am only just now starting the analysis of data and learning how and what data I want from the program. I am confident even before this review that the program is allowing me to better understand where to focus my attention on business development and financial goals. I know any feedback for improvements is valued. #### Cons There is truly nothing I don't like. Some of the challenges: In order to truly get the best results, you have to understand how the program works, and put in the necessary hours to learn how to customise your own practice program. This time investment can be a very daunting pre-changeover and you will need an ongoing interest to push the program to it's limits as you learn the amazing features over time. If you are not dedicated to put in the hours, then you can't complain it doesn't do what you want. Remember - set it up once and it is there forever more! I have heard users unhappy about how certain features work, only to delve deeper and find that they really had no idea/interest about how to customise their so called "problem", or the immense value as to WHY something is as it is. I am a "details" personality type, and I had intentions to customise a lot of the functions pre-changeover. I could foresee that there was a need for significant time investment in personalising this program long-prior to the changeover date. I would have favoured being permitted to have the access and software training much earlier in the induction process to ease this anticipated time burden. But I understand that that has been addresses with my feedback for others. Any internet based cloud program will suffer from gremlins of dropping requests on occasion, requiring you to reload the page, but that is not unique to ezyVet. Update medical HX fast enough that within seconds its back to the ER doctors, spell check for medical terminology, getting messages to exactly who I need them to get to and knowing they got the message. Every program we used ( even with the leading health care company in my state) took what seemed like hundreds of times reading manuals to even get through daily tasks, Would time out, or simply not work. That was the norm until coming to MedVet. One of the things that held me back is the thought of learning yet again, another program to give me the upmost of anxiety.
