The time we save on charting is significant compared to cornerstone. I love the ease of access to the information and how each thing is bundled into categories. It is so easy to send records from ezyvet and also it itegrates with my online pharmacy and texting service which has saved me so much time. The cost is better than cornerstone also. Great value for money spent. Customer support is excellent you can call, but 99.9% of the time I just submit a ticket and within same business day I will get an email with step by step instructions-which is great because I just save the email and go back and review when I need for the next time. #### Cons I've loved all features of ezyvet so far. There was some confusion and disruption in the initial transition to ezyVet, but this was almost entirely due to a lack of preparedness on our (hospital) part, and not the fault of the ezyVet team. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 4/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Cloud-based, and (effectively) paperless medical record system, that allows access to all information in hospital, and remotely, but very securely. Very flexible and intuitive program that new employees seem to pick up reasonably quickly. Great integration with complementary software programs and companies, allowing easy transfer of information and excellent fee capture. Responsive customer support. #### Cons Like any software there are always minor features or customization that would be useful in our particular practice, but are not possible as they would disrupt essential features for other clinics. That said, ezyet is far more individually customizable than any other program I am aware of, so this criticism is simply the nature of any program that serves more than one individual hospital. The ezyVet customer support team are very open to feature suggestions and requests, and aim to incorporate them whenever possible. Occasionally bugs appear following rollout of a new software release, though these are rare, almost always minor, and rapidly rectified. These are far outweighed by the constant improvements and automatic updates in the program provided frequently as part of being a customer. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet The previous program did not provide the records, communication, and fee capture features we needed in our expanding hospital, and did not provide any remote access option at the time. Internal memo's are wonderful and help with internal communication. #### Cons The IT support is very hit and miss on how helpful they are. The IT upgrades are rarely useful and honestly I often shake my head as to why they don't seem to listen to the vets on the ground. Very difficult to put in a complaint to anyone and get things done. Over the last year, it also seems like the support has declined as well. There have been many time where I have called and requested a call back and stay in queue, and I've never gotten a call back. There are also times where I decide to wait, and then I get hung up on after being on hold for over an hour. #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet ezyVet is more equipped for our size practice and has way more functionality and flexibility. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet We were very upset with Smartflow initially, which is why we made the switch to Instinct. It has helped us tidy up our inventory & client communications so so much. I like how we can customize it to the needs of our practice. Is it perfect? No, but it definitely makes us more efficient & we are better set up to capture charges accurately by creating templates for all of our therapeutics, procedures & surgeries. #### Cons I wish we could link better with Jotform & other externals to make our CSR team workload better. No incentive was offered One of the worst companies I have dealt with in business. They are in it for the money. They knowingly lock you in to a contract that you can't get out of. Then they do not complete their portion of any work but if there is a delay it is all on the user. The ability to work between multiple sites. The ability to control inventory over multiple sites. #### Cons There is absolutely no help in setting the software up. They charge ALOT of money for this phase, but it is all DYI. The implementers don't know their own software. No two people can tell you the same thing. Most of the time they contradict themselves. You have to learn how to set up the software and use the software on your own by watching videos. The videos don't match what the implementers say, nor do they match the quizzes in the training. It does not do what they say it will do. #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet Monthly cost. But due to hidden fees, they probably ended up the same in cost. Also rhapsody had a third party doing reminders and the wellness plan. #### Reasons for switching to ezyVet We wanted to go to a cloud based software that would allow us to manage clients, patients and inventory in one place. It would be great to have a similar feature like Cornerstone has, where you can right click on an appointment, select "reschedule", then click on the day/time you want to reschedule to. Almost like a copy/paste function. We had a lot of kinks to work out in our start-up vet practice, as you might imagine, and although I had some minimal prior experience with Ezyvet and has been working for weeks to set up our practice on it... there were too many problems to count initially and that made me glad we did NOT go with PayJunction Their integrated merchant processor, or we would Have had a lot of invoices we could not have easily gotten paid for at time client and patient were ready to leave! That said.... now. A year later it would be fine. I do love the program now that I am feeling more confident using it, we literally discover new things we can do on it or ways of doing things differently every week. We are a small practice and can see value in Smart Glow, but due to small practice so ze, it is not worth the additional expense. - #### Reasons for choosing ezyVet Once I saw the available personalization and cloud based status I easily made my decision early then questioned every vendor and equipment and software company I was doing business if it worked with Ezyvet and made my decisions to work with them or not based on if they played nice with Ezyvet. #### Vendor response Thanks for your great review, Laura. Combined with its ease of navigation powerful reporting and portability (all you need is a internet connection) it would be hard to consider any of the other market options. #### Cons The only downfall with ezyVet can be the shear size of it. Having made the switch to ezyVet 4 or so years ago and having overseen the implantation and maintenance I tend to forget just how much it can do (and dose) and for new users it can be a little overwhelming. We are a small specialty practice that has been able to make the most out of the software to work well for us. It has been extremely easy to learn and train new staff to use. We have a variety of age groups and tech-savvy individuals in our practice and everyone has been able to pick it up quickly. #### Cons The most difficult part are the updates that happen overnight, and are not prepared for a different workflow. This happens rarely that a workflow is affected, but it always hits on those days where something is not going right. I always look ahead at updates to come, so we are often prepared for what may be different. It would just be nice to have a heads up on the date that the update will be happening. Our integration was intense. We started out with a difficult situation being a small business within another facility that previous shared a software system, so we needed to pull things out from that software and transfer over. Update medical HX fast enough that within seconds its back to the ER doctors, spell check for medical terminology, getting messages to exactly who I need them to get to and knowing they got the message. Every program we used ( even with the leading health care company in my state) took what seemed like hundreds of times reading manuals to even get through daily tasks, Would time out, or simply not work. That was the norm until coming to MedVet. One of the things that held me back is the thought of learning yet again, another program to give me the upmost of anxiety. The fact that this program is so easy to use, we can spend more time with pets and caring for clients which is why we got into the field in the first place! #### Cons I can't think of anything that truly bothers me. #### Vendor response Hi Chivae!
