A solid and flexible tool with fantastic support!

Overall we have been having a great experience with SCOOCS, to the point that we decided to sign a full year contract with them for all of our events in 2021. We knew already last year that they would evolve a lot over this year and they are always ready to develop new features which also makes them a perfect partner for hybrid events and not only purely virtual ones. I would recommend them to anyone asking me which platform to use because they have a great team and their solution is solid and fun to use.

PROS

- Flexibility: They are always ready to develop and to adjust features to our needs. I have never found that to this extend with another provider before. It makes it very exciting to work with them. - Customization: So many details can be customized and branding the platform is very easy. - UX: As an admin the back-end is very simple and easy to use. As a participant navigation is clear and the platform is visually appealing and fun to use. - Networking features: For the attendees there are multiple ways to connect with each other's and find the people it makes sense to connect to through the chat, matchmaking tags, speed-dating sessions with labels, networking tables... but also fun features like random video calls. - Integration: when it comes to streaming but also registration, they have a lot of integrations already in place with divers platforms and tools, but they can also easily integrate with other tools upon request. -Support: answering time is extremely short and they make sure you get an answer and a solution asap. They are very friendly and their clients' satisfaction is at the heart of everything they do. I love to work with them.

CONS

- Notifications by email: they are in place only for meeting requests and could be useful for any type of activities requiring the attendees to react to them (like chat messages for instance).

There is no perfect platform but SCOOCS is the one that answers our most important needs in terms of functionalities, networking features, flexibility with lost of new development regularly, co-creation with their clients, efficient and fast support, smooth UX, extensive customization, analytics, fair price, and community. With their own events, SCOOCS offers their clients a place to learn, share and network with peers which a real plus.

Reasons for switching to SCOOCS

At SCOOCS, support has been faster to answer and very efficient. I knew from the beginning that our account manager and project leader was there to guide me and make sure our events would be a success. This was crucial since we were no expert in virtual events. This is no extra option to pay for, this is basic for them and it has been much appreciated by my company. The features to allow participants to connect with other attendees sharing interests or challenges is ideal for our needs which was not the case with the other provider. We needed something more specific than a AI matching functionality and it was very important as networking is at the heart of our events. SCOOCS has been the platform matching the best our needs, this is why we switched.

The team have been really helpful in getting s up and running.

PROS

Customer service is fantastic. Branding is easy to use. Platform is totally customisable. Comms with delegates is incredibly straightforward.

CONS

The ability to stream from RTMP into a session with the page auto-refreshing when the stream changes would be fantastic - currently having to use work arounds for this and speak to people in the chat to tell them to refresh every time a new session starts. Recording external RTMP content would be really helpful too, so you could easily share it as a replay straight away.

Reason for choosing SCOOCS

Platform seemed to encompass what we needed and was a good mix of straightforward but customisable. The team were confident in what they were selling.

Reasons for switching to SCOOCS

Poor customer service, incredibly expensive, numerous ongoing issues with the product that weren't addressed.

Overall good but with some negatives

PROS

The use is simple but sometimes unintuitive. Most things have to be figured out by trail-and-error. The design options are good and if you want new features implemented, they'll most likely going to be implemented (even if it takes a little longer). Also the copy feature of an event is very usefull.

CONS

When we started with the platform, it was being switched to a new system. And we became beta testers, so to speak. There were a lot of bugs and it was very exhausting to work with the new platform. But most of the things have been fixed now. It was still not good that we were basically beta testers.

iSchools iConference Review

I have been using SCOOCS since it appeared on the market. I have seen this product evolve over time and am happy to continue using it for our conferences.

PROS

Automatic time-zone conversion, the iFrame of the program, as well as a well rounded look and feel of the platform makes this product very good value. Also the dedicated SCOOCS staff is very professional and helpful, especially with custom requirements.

CONS

The notification system through SCOOCS would require a bit more work in regard to ease of use and functionality. For iConference 2023, we needed to switch of this feature due to a bug and do the communication through ConfTool.

Our SCOOCS experience

SCOOCS has given us the opportunity to quickly and easily transfer part of our business model into the digital world. Together with the SCOOCS team, we were able to implement many new features and offer our customers a great online conference experience. We enjoy working together and continually improving the conference experience together.

PROS

- very intuitive user interface - clearly structured interface - very stable performance and availability - easy setup - high degree of individualization - great support - continuous further development of the platform

CONS

- Big Blue Button integration - Any other issues can be solved with the team

SCOOCS is a very good way to easily set-up and run online conferences and webinars

See above, but I really want to point out that the customer service is great - the only drawback is that sometimes during live events the response time is a bit underwhelming. But we are all just human and have only a limited amount of time.

PROS

It is easy to use, very customizable, smooth and modern design, and it comes with a plethora of features. And the support (especially from [sensitive content hidden]) is simply amazing.

CONS

The chat if you have events with more tracks. It is just not as customer friendly as it could be. As a user I would expect the chat to be always up-to-date when I am in a session - however, it is not. If I stay in a session, and the next session starts, I will not be part of the following chat. I have to enter the session from scratch. This is not intuitive. If I apply this to the real world, it would be as if I stayed in a room, but in order to talk to the people in the room, I have to re-enter once a session is over; I cannot simply stay. This has been addressed several times, and there are work-arounds which are not as intuitive as it could or maybe even should be.That's about it. The chat really has been the most problematic issue up to now.Oh, my colleague says that sometimes the bills could be done with a bit more care. As soon as I have more info on that, I will pass that on. There seem to be some errors sometimes. It's just time consuming and could be improved.

The Fastest and intuitive way to set up your online conference platform

Friendly and very helpful staff and a product worth every penny, also for small budgets.

PROS

The architecture of SCOOCS makes it easy to set up your online conference. From management and registration of the conference attendees to uploading conference content, the workload was simple to distribute and quickly executed. Moreover, the online conference platform enhances networking opportunities via live chats, interactive polls, a live feed and instant messaging.

CONS

The help and set-up documentswere somewhat difficult to navigate and quick access to specific questions were not as easy to retrieve. The whole range of options on how to set up the conference could be laid out better to make the start a little easier.

SCOOCS is easy to use for the layman. Along with the simple structure of the platform format, those were the most crucial points why we chose SCOOCS.

Scoocs for conference use

Our overall experience was so positive that we have licensed it for another year and for wider use within the organisation.

PROS

This software provided a reliable platform for a completely virtual conference. It was new to all of our participants, but it was easy to explain and the problems were minor.

CONS

The "join" button for sessions should have been larger and the use of BigBlueButton meant that presenters had to store their contents externally, rather than just sharing from their screen.

Reason for choosing SCOOCS

we chose scoocs because it offered better features at a better price than the companies that related organisation tried out. The round table feature was particularly good.

It's a great tool for hosting events online. For our event we've only been able to use a small amount of what's possible.

- easy roll out to the participants- easy to handle for the participants- excellent and prompt support

Great platform

PROS

SCOOCS creates an attractive, customized, themed virtual space for a conference. It seems much more personal than simply using Zoom, and it looks better. The video posting capability was useful, the tables for coffee and meals were really nice, the welcome video was great. We got many positive reviews from participants.

CONS

It was a little clunky getting from the main schedule to the meal break tables.

Global conference hosting

The SCOOCS team was fantastic. Our conference could have taken better advantage of all the features, but everything we did use went smoothly.

PROS

SCOOCS was great for hosting our conference. It easily hosted many participants and was relatively intuitive for users

CONS

We did not use all of the features, opted for Zoom rooms instead of SCOOCS internal session rooms because we felt people we more comfortable with Zoom.

E-Commerce Experts Conference Review

This is the second time I have worked with Scoocs and again I have been absolutely satisfied with the platform and have already recommended it to teammates from New Zealand.

PROS

The platform is very intuitive and easy to understand for any user. Furthermore, the interface is very nice and clean and is limited to the essential content.

CONS

I would revise the registration process so that users who register and users who log in can use the same link.
